This place used to offer a much better experience, but unfortunately, that's no longer the case. I advise caution if you choose to visit—avoid bringing small or valuable items, as they can easily go missing.
There have been concerning incidents where some individuals appear to record themselves or their friends, but it’s unclear whether others are being filmed without consent. This raises serious privacy concerns, especially in a shared space.
It’s also troubling that a male janitor has been seen cleaning the women’s locker room, which many may find inappropriate and uncomfortable.
I still attend because there’s a class I genuinely enjoy, but beyond that, it’s not worth it. The facility gets overcrowded, making it difficult to access machines without a long wait. On top of that, the atmosphere can feel intrusive—many people seem to be watching others rather than focusing on their workouts.
Some individuals come here seemingly to socialize or look for romantic connections rather than exercise. Public displays of affection among younger visitors, such as kissing and hugging, are frequent and quite distracting. It would be more respectful if those interactions were kept private.

1/6/2023 still a male janitor cleans the women's locker room, bathroom, and shower room. After cleaning, the male janitor tells kind looking ladies use the places neatly.

Currently Oct/2022 there's no female janitor in the afternoon/eve. so male janitor cleans the female locker room. He put the male is cleaning sign hours. All of sudden he comes into the Female locker room with a broom. Although people said "come after 10 mins in English and Spanish, he just sweep the floor and see half naked women. Unbelievable and disgusting!

The staff are busy to chitchat one another. They don't assist customers well during weekends. This place used to provide great costumer svcs. However, after becoming Esporta, they provide very poor svcs. It is very condensed so it is very hard to practice social distance! On top of that, it is dirty. There are roaches. The fitness doesn't do anything although people mentioned that matter to the staff. They don't apologize and/or find solutions for roaches. They don't change clocks in timely manner; esp. women's locker room they've never touched last & this years.

Great staff! I think the excuse that business was lost to shut down is inadequate. The company must have sold out for a great cost to the casino. It was a great location with plenty of traffic and paying members. Please consider opening another location before selling out in general. I’m not to sure that casino needs to expand.

Now they’re telling me to go to another LA Fitness center — but all are too far to travel. This is not what I signed up for. Zero communication, no refund, no accountability.

I just signed up for member ship through my health insurance and personal training (I feel like I’ve been lured into it) just last week and started my first session. Then now as of today hearing the news that the gym is permanently closing next week and my personal trainer did not show up, never in my life feel very disappointed. Waisted my time and money for trainers are no longer in this gym building. I will be requesting a cancellation and hopefully a refund this Friday.

I saw in the comments a person complaining about why they close an aerobics room and went to reception to complain. We as consumers should do our part because some people take weights and they do this, especially women. In that room, they bring weights and leave them there and do not return them to their place. Obviously, men do it too, but women are the ones who do it the most. On one occasion, I saw how a girl took like 20 minutes to carry weights and equipment to just sit there looking at her cell phone. In the end, she did 3 or 4 sets and got up and left, leaving everything she took there. We should respect others and return what we took to its place and not wait for the staff to clean up our mess. Just because you pay a monthly fee doesn't give you the right to do things. Let's change our mentality. If you want things to change, you should also help make the change you want to be made. Don't wait for someone else to do it for you. I'm taking this opportunity to give my opinion about a young man who works on weekends and I think he's a very good worker. He cleans and whenever he's there he keeps the bathrooms very clean, the mirrors clean, and he's always very busy. I've seen him take the weights out of that room and put them back in their place. He's a very good worker. I hope the owners see my comment. I don't know his name. I wish I knew how to say it, but I only see him on Saturdays and Sundays.

All the training equipment is very old and rusty. There are no paper dispensers. Everything is in very poor condition and very neglected. It's ridiculous that you have paper to dry your sweat or keep the restrooms clean. Why hasn't the health department inspected this place?

Decent location. I’ve been going here after dealing with bs from the mundelein location but I wish they kept the place clean more often. It’s a Monday evening and I’ve had to ask multiple staff if they can bring out more wipes and they said sure they’ll let the custodian know and then didn’t do anything. Like seriously this is nasty. The women's bathroom has gnats or fruitflies in the shower. There are pretty much no shelving for your supplies either.

It's pretty sardine crowded with machines and you can tell the people are there for the name, not to work out. Lots of young people just waltzing around if that's the kind of gym you want.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the treatment my friend and I received from your staff on October 7, 2024. I have been a member of your gym since 2023 and brought my friend along today using a free day pass that was supposed to allow him access to the facilities.

Unfortunately, two members of your staff refused to honor the free day pass and insisted that my friend pay $20 to enter. This place has taken a ugly turn for the worst! Most of the weights are scattered all over the gym. The machines are now stuffed into a footprint so small, you have to be careful not to crash into other gym goers. The lack of cleaning supplies is insane! Last but far from the least, the lazy employees that are technically supposed to maintain the integrity of operations; do NOTHING. Not even answer questions regarding memberships. Great place if you want a place to go and play with your phone you see a whole lot of that you only see a few people who are serious about working out and that have been serious for any length of time .. of course you can tell by the person’s physique if they have been serious , and there is always a lot of machines needing repairs and unemptied trash cans … half the DB’s are gone and usually paper and water bottles all over .

Walking through the parking lot 12Pm noon 7/18, a short man in a vehicle nearly hit another pedestrian, then continued to aggressively taunt the pedestrian after the incident. Gym is okay. Machines are a bit outdated but at least the stair masters are new. One thing I strongly advise is to keep your belongings on you AT ALL TIMES. Don't bother using the lockers because you're always at risk of getting robbed. I wish the staff did a better job at monitoring the locker rooms because ... who pays a membership to steal people's belongings?!!! If you're paying for multi-club at least you can use other LA fitness gyms. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend this specific location because the lockers I used were broken into twice.

They have to work on housekeeping. The status of the water fountain filter hasn’t been ‘green’ for a few days already. I’ve always seen at least one canister that provides sanitizer wipes empty, the same goes for another one of the hand sanitizer dispensers. It’d be convenient if someone was cleaning the restroom more often. There’s also been a few times where paper towels aren’t available in the locker room. The establishment isn’t ran bad by staff. The staff just needs to make sure inventory and maintenance is consistent. That is important.

First of all, the place is unorganized, I know people do not have the awareness to be organized, but the signs to put everything back in the place are few and very small. Second, the TV's are always on the news or irrelevant things, we're in a gym, why not sports? (I know that's in all LA and Esporta. That's terrible!). Third, staff have an speaker that some of them turn on when they want, and even with handsets on bothers a lot! The music they like is not everyone's taste. It's very obvious that for them, it is not enough the speakers from the own gym. Also, the sales people are NOT well prepared, they're just there to warm the seat. I definitely Do Not recommend this place to workout!

Fernando is a master at what he does.
He ensure you get the best and bring out the best of you. He has been detailed oriented since the start. If anyone is looking to get trained and be in shape, I highly recommend you look out for Fernando(Master trainer) to understand fitness. If you have mobility issues no worries, he makes sure to let you know about another variation which is more comfortable and challenging at the same time to target the muscle group.

Fully crowded, no equipment are accessible because of overcrowding. They actually make false promises at the time of admission on bringing one guest free but that guest can only come with that member and not allowed to enter alone so that's just waste. This is my experience at Waukegan location. Manager over here is highly unprofessional rude and arrogant.Yearly they cut some 150 dollar for the membership and monthly 40 bucks which makes overall monthly 50 buck so no such amazing deal if you calculate. It's better to look for more options nearby location because there is no point going to this place that has no accessibly to equipment because of overcrowding.Waste. will never recommend.

To be honest Esporta Fitness is a wonderful gym!
Great Environment, awesome music, and a rewarding opportunity to get in the best shape possible.

There are two things Esporta Fitness can improve on:
1. The Basketballs in the basketball court-
Once Esporta Fitness gets some new basketballs for the basketball court, that will be a great addition to the Gym.

2. The organization of the equipment.
Even though it is not Esporta Fitness fought for some equipment being in the wrong place at times, it is still inconvenient.
Esporta Fitness can remind the guest to remain organized while working out at the gym.

Equipment are so old that they really need to invest in new stuff. Staff is friendly, but it’s a let down when you can’t find free weights and equipment aren’t working or ineffective.

I Love the new ora this gym has, from the personal trainers and no lie to the cleaning of the bathroom. Things definitely have changed for the better . Did a work out session with ALEX thee best as always . 💪. My muscles are on FIRE 🔥 . Too motivated for these results. 2023 HERE WE COME !!!

Honestly this gym used to be great, now half the machines don’t work and say “scheduled for service” for weeks, it’s very dirty and the water fountain doesn’t work and the filter is always red, used to be great but not anymore

This Review is to help other customers be aware of the apparent theft in the men's locker room and to consider taking proactive measures to prevent your personal items from being stolen.

It's evident that the locker room is a breeding ground for break-ins and theft. After coming back from the shower, I immediately noticed the door of the locker above my locker was ripped apart. This break-in took place within a 5-minute period of me leaving that area while taking a shower. Also a lock four lockers to my left had saw markings across the u-shaped lock. The thieve(s) never finished cutting as the lock bracket was simply busted off the inside wall of the locker. Warning to all: No matter how strong your lock is, they can easily get into your space by breaking the hinge off these delicate wooden lockers. It would be nice to see a Esporta invest in quality steel lockers that have strong protective value.
