Lacoma Golf offers 45 golf holes, a bar and restaurant, and event center in Dubuque, IA area.
With a total of 45 golf holes on four courses, Lacoma offers a great golf experience to players of all skills and can host outings and events from a few foursomes to 300 players.
As the only golf course in the Dubuque area with complete practice facilities, Lacoma is the perfect place to improve your game. And our Youth Golf program is great way to get the junior golfer in your life on the path to golf success.
We've added indoor golf simulators by HD Golf so you can play, practice, take lessons or get a custom club fitting year=round!
Our event center can seat 200+ people for both golf and non-golf banquets and meetings.

You won’t find a more poorly maintained golf course in all of Dubuque. $50 for 18 and a cart is theft.

I am an inexperienced golfer that plays for fun and doesn't keep score. However, Lacoma was fun for all levels of golfers. There are 4 courses depending if you want 9 or 18 holes. I played the gold course with 2 kids and had a blast! There is a sweet man that works there that gives kids extra balls he finds while watching over the holes periodically. It's reasonably priced and has nice carts.

The grounds keepers are the only thing keeping me from giving this place a 5th star. 3 times I've had them watering a green while I'm trying to play. Normally it's not a big deal but the last time I was trying to chip on while getting splashed. I picked up & moved on, finishing the hole later.
Holes 3 & 4 on the Gold course are stunning with the 2 best views from a tee box I have EVER seen.

I was able to walk on around 7:20am & get a tee time for myself (one person). This was really nice! The employees were very friendly and accommodating. The course is awesome for beginners- as a new golfer I felt just the right amount of challenge. The prices are reasonable as well. Also great options for both men and women in the pro shop!

We scheduled back-to-back tee times for the gold tees. There were six of us playing 3 team best ball. The manager told us she said no six at the clubhouse, but she wasn’t even at the clubhouse when we registered. On hole #7 we got told we had to split up and we did. We split into a group of 4 and a group of 2. The group of 4 went first and then the group of 2 got caught up by a different group of 4. The group of 2 drove the green on hole #7. Wayne the infamous cranky ranger came by and started yelling at us because we were trying to not hold the pace of play. It ended with us getting kicked off on hole #8 and being forced to drive through the people playing in front of us. It’s unfortunate that people like Wayne create a stigma for the great game of golf and turn away young and upcoming golfers and customers.

I went on a company golf outing at Lacoma and my team was harassed by Wayne the *entire* time I was there. According to Wayne, our group wasn't moving fast enough and we were holding others up (we weren't). Eventually we took a bathroom break, at which point the group behind us did catch up, and we told them to go ahead, and they went on their merry way without complaint. Wayne, however, was right behind them, again harassing us about holding up the people behind us and threatening to kick us out. When we told Wayne that the guy paying for the outing was the one we were "holding up" and that he can talk to him if there's a problem, suddenly he didn't have anything to say. This was my first time golfing and I didn't get to enjoy it because Wayne was there every step of the way harassing us and telling us that if we didnt hurry up, we'd be kicked out. My partner and I just stopped golfing altogether so our team could move faster so we wouldn't be bothered by Wayne (we ended up with 45 extra minutes to kill). I was really looking forward to golfing for the first time, and Wayne ruined the entire experience for me. I made sure my boss was aware of this harassment, and he let me know that we wouldn't be returning to Lacoma in the future for our yearly golf outing, specifically because of the way we were treated by Wayne. I can understand to an extent needing to monitor golfers on the course, but certainly NOT to the extent that Wayne did while we were there, and certainly not when the course was reserved for a private event. Wayne's sense of self importance is sky high and he gets a power trip driving around on his cart with that red flag. Management needs to reign him in.

What a beautiful course for how poorly its staff runs its. Came out with my grandfather visiting from Minnesota and had never played here and wish I still haven’t. Was meet at the box at my 8 am tee time followed by our second tee time on the red/gold course by another group who as well were booked for the 8 and 8:08 tee time. After talking to the group the range came over and said it’s not his problem and whoever the quicker 8 golfers are should just play first, okay sure. After play the red 9 and teeing off on the first hole of the gold 9 we were yet again met by the ranger asking what we were doing on the closed portion of the course. (When we chanced in and payed for 18 the guy at the counter confirmed we were playing 18 on red and gold 9’s.) After explaining this to the ranger he responded with a very rude and shrill tone saying that “there is no way in hell” that they would do that in the pro-shop. I work at a very busy course in Minnesota and understand how stressful it can be to navigate a tee sheet when it’s busy, but not only could the Lacoma golf staff navigate and handle the situation at the end of the day they did nothing to make up for multiple mistakes on there end of ruining our round

A lot of us have been golfing at Lacoma for years and we as a group had reserved 3 tee times and split up. The one group is girls and we play a lot slower than the boys(we just started this year) so sometimes the boys will wait for us to help us. Well tonight at 6:45 we got approached by a ranger and said we had to split up... we we're already split up and this was only on hole two of the red and the 1st hole doesnt take much for anybody lets be real im new and can get it done quickly... so we split up even more and played best shot the whole time should have to do... id say around hole 4ish we were just teeing off and once again approached by a ranger saying i was pulled off hole 18 of the blue and yall still aren't split up... no we are but you are now assuming... i and everyone else felt very harassed. I will not be returning to this course for a very long time if this is going to happen like this... we had teams of two and planned on playing best shot the whole time but to be harassed saying there ppl behind you and there isnt and that it was all our time slots... poor business... do better… I woukd even give a zero if I could

This course is going downhill as fast as it can. Getting more expensive while not maintaining the course itself. It’s like a cow pasture on the tee boxes and the greens are riddled with divots. Pair that with owners who don’t care about the place and it’s not worth it. The children of the owners are very vocal while out at league about how little the family care about this course. Lacoma owes everyone who has been a member an apology for the lack of respect they have for the game. Plenty of other courses in the area that are worth the money. Don’t support a course that won’t invest in itself.

Course is in really good shape but staffing has gone down hill since I was a kid apparently. They want to overbook but don't want to manage it. When I leave with a group of 3 after 4 hours and get through 13 before we decide we're just gonna go, that's a problem. The drink girl to have you buy more stuff is readily around and the 3 guys joking around in the Pro Shop to sell you stuff are having a good time. The group behind us and in front of us kept waiting at the same tee boxes over and over. Guys in front of us apologizing that there's a delay to us but that's not their fault. This isn't the first time it's been backed up either. It's a good course to play on but expect to stand around A LOT in-between holes. Make them start actually putting in work for your money before you start going here. I will not be returning.

I'm newer to golf and have really enjoyed playing at Lacoma. For the price they are my favorite in the area. Lacoma has a nice selection if you want a challenging or a relaxing time. The shop has a range of clubs, balls, hats, and shoes. I especially like their more fun animal head covers! I've been learning and the assistant manager, Joe, has been above and beyond helpful as I navigate the shop and sport. After playing 9 or 18 it is so nice to be able to stop back and the clubhouse for some dinner. Great prices on their food. The atmosphere and scenery is picturesque after a long day. I'll have to look into a membership before they fill up next year and practice before I try these "leagues". I'm not great but I'm excited to learn and get better.

Horrible experience. Got here at 655 couldn’t even get food and their kitchen closes at 7. Booked a tee time from 7-9pm and couldn’t even get in on time because they were doing a fitting. So had to wait 20 minutes to do our booked tee time and couldn’t even get food.

This was my first time golfing. I didnt know what to expect from a golf course.
There were lots of cicada killer wasps on two of the holes. Luckily, they are harmless to humans but they look mean and are a bit of a distraction.
There was no beverage cart service while golfing, but the bar was open to go back and get water.
They offered temporary coolers to borrow, since there was no beverage service.
The course had a variety of scenery and was well laid out.

A few months ago I had my bridal shower in the back room. It was very well priced for the space. I was able to use it for as long as I needed and bring my own food and drink. I had a mimosa bar and purchased the champagne from the bar for a very decent price. They let me borrow a Bluetooth speaker cause ours wasn’t working, which of course saved the day. I was able to rearrange all the chairs and tables to decorate to my liking. We admittedly made a mess with some sparkles and I offered to clean it up and they said “Nope! We got it!” It was so so nice of the team. I recommend it for any get together you might have. My husband also likes to go to Lacoma for all his golfing! Great staff!
