I've been going to Leisure World for roughly 15 years now and I can say, it's by far, my home away from home. Outside of Donna, Ed, and their solid team running the show, there is a brotherhood and sisterhood of some of the best-looking, strongest, and most dedicated individuals I have ever met. The gym is filled with men and woman who are happy to help assist or answer any fitness/growth questions you have. It's not the typical "influencer" gym with people standing around talking and filming. It's a gym were people are actually dedicated to their goals. Helping each other out. And, protecting the old school gym values with a "if you succeed, I succeed," mentality. It is, in my opinion, the best gym atmosphere, and with my first ever review, I highly recommend.

I am so happy I am coming to Leisure World! I decided once I was eligible for the Silver Sneakers program I would commit to trying it out. I’ve never been into exercise before but knew I needed to tone up for my health. Everyone has been amazing, and I feel great! I have so much more energy, stress level has gone way down and I’ve met so many other people who are just like me! The facilities are clean and easy to maneuver. I don’t feel like I “stick out” when I’m there. I absolutely love the water aerobics class and doing my workout is so easy to follow thanks to the instructions I received from the personal trainer. Big shout out to Donna, Ed and Kelley for being so helpful! I recommend Leisure Works to anyone who wants to get fit!

I love coming to Leisure World in Bethalto! The staff is friendly and helpful, the gym and women’s locker room is ALWAYS clean and the childcare area is very clean as well. There are plenty of free weights and cardio equipment to use and this past year they added two more squat racks to bring the total up to 4! The price of membership is amazing based on all the amenities the gym offers. My only wish is to extend the childcare hours and bring back Friday evening childcare hours, but that is literally my only suggestion for Leisure World.

Her husband is the personal trainer and he is really encouraging and patient. The staff is amazing and the pool is quite nice however I do have to say I wish the equipment was updated. There’s some equipment that just doesn’t work anymore like treadmills that don’t turn on or elevate and bikes that won’t start a program. Also I wish they would make it a little cooler during the summertime. I go with my family every day! Donna gave me a great deal setting my account up over the phone and membership is CHEAP!! 3 adults and 3 children monthly is $59– 1/3 of the price club fitness is for 3 people- only the best part about it is you are supporting local and not corporation.
Downside is it’s usually always busy, with alot of teenagers that like to lift weights. I’d take the good community and seeing kids hang out in a gym than be in trouble on the streets any day though
