We love LGA! Especially coach Leah. She is so great with kids, my daughter talks about her all the time in between sessions

My kiddo has been taking lessons here for the past two years, and he loves it! We also recently held his birthday party here, and they were extremely accommodating and made the party a huge success! Thank you!

Just started attending a weekly class each Friday morning and the coaches are great with the toddlers and there are different activities each week for the kids. Great place, highly recommend!

Our son has attended the Baby Stars class for nearly a year now. This is a great course for tots to play, practice their motor skills, and get comfortable moving their bodies. We love it and highly recommend!! Coach Beth is wonderful with the little ones--sheβs always engaging, attentive, and spirited.

Really bad place for kids to get introduced to gymnastics. Organization is terrible, teachers change without warning, you donβt get any meaningful report on kids progress, impossible to understand curriculum, half of the kids are sitting around doing nothing or disrupting other kids and the teachers are teenagers that spend most of their time talking to each other, looking at phones and not engaging w kids. Quite a waste of time and money.

My 1 year old daughter enjoys her class and coach. Great way for her to have the freedom to crawl and learn in a secure setting.

Terrible Customer Service and money hungry! We attended this gym for almost a full year on Monday's and Wednesdays for Cheer Tumble. It took them over a month to fix their tumble track which was the primary piece of equipment that the girls practiced on leaving them without a device to use. We didn't ask for a refund or anything. Then when my daughter had an injury she received a MD note and was unable to attend her classes in August. Since we already paid the tuition, we agreed to a partial credit to apply to the month we returned and we were supposed to get 2 make up classes for the 2 classes she missed earlier in the month. However, when I went to confirm her 2 make up classes their story changed and were unwilling to accommodate!!! In fact the owner was quite rude and unapologetic saying she couldn't make heads or tails of the notes and citing their policy that she must be enrolled. I explained I can't help how the person took notes and this is the first I am hearing of this policy. Why would the previous person I spoke with schedule us for 2 make-up classes if this was not the case? So I asked her to refund me money and she refused trying to negotiate our return. This was our plan once All Star Cheer Comp season was done; however, that ship has now sailed due to her rudeness and greediness! It's no wonder why this gym is on the decline!

Extremely disappointed in the little ninja classes, 3-5 year olds. The kids did almost the same thing every week for the weeks that we attended. The place is so overstimulated and crowded. The teachers in this class are not educated on how to engage and relate to this age group. I heard some pretty aggressive scolding and saw grabbing of a few kids by the arms. I watched the older kids in the group push the younger ones, with no response from the teachers. I saw little to no coaching on technique or how to safely perform the jumps/flips. Was very concerned for injury, so I pulled my child. I urge parents to be mindful and careful. This class has so much potential, but how it is ran is very concerning.

Great place for classes. My niece (2 yr old) and daughter (8 yr old) have attended. My daughter has taken recreational and cheer/tumble over the past 2 or 3 years and loved both classes. The instructors are great and you can tell they enjoy what they do. The facility recently remodeled the waiting area and it looks so much better. My only complaint is that the waiting area is usually pretty full.

This review is in response to a recent review by M.K.; My 4 year old daughter is in the same class this reviewer mentioned. My daughter has been enrolled at this facility for several months and I was present during reviewer's outburst, which made all the other parents that were present very uncomfortable. The class is an advanced session, which consists of a more rigorous training regimen. My daughter has a blast every training session and looks forward to the next one. The staff members are amazing and very encouraging when teaching children new exercises. I've never seen the staff look "annoyed" if my daughter or any of the other children could not do something. The staff do a great job helping children build confidence through their training.

This is a terrible place for young little preschoolers to be introduced to the world of gymnastics! My daughter LOVED gymnastics until coming here. At 4-years old, gymnastics should be fun, light-hearted and a positive environment. The coaches do not help properly, show the children what to do and the tone of voice that they choose to use is highly inappropriate. They act annoyed if the child is not learning a skill on the spot and tell them that all of the other kids in class can do it. This age should be all about building up self confidence and not provoking fear in them about the sport. On top of it- none of the coaches wear masks inside the building. I might understand if they (the adults) were doing some type of grueling workout, but when working with 4/5 year olds and sitting in place while being in their face- this is inexcusable. We most definitely will be going to another facility that makes the sport fun with a positive atmosphere.

My daughter had taken gymnastics classes for a year at LGA. We had signed up for and were charged for 2 different camps over spring break 2020 which were cancelled due to the gym closing because of the start of Covid-19. I just tried to sign my daughter up for camps over Christmas break 2020 and was hoping I would be credited due to us paying for camps back in March that were cancelled. They had told us that those credits were no longer available. I had spoken with two different ladies and then asked to speak with the owner, 2 different times!!! He never called back. Very unprofessional and immoral of LGA to just keep our money!!! The world is going through a pandemic and they didnβt even care to be understanding or sympathetic!!! Will not be returning with this behavior!!!

We have been going to LGA for years and absolutely love everything about the gym! We have had the best experience with the preschool program and up. My daughter is now 13 and still goes to this gym because it is now more like a family then just a gym.

I wouldn't even give it 1 star if possible. The toddler gymnastics program is a joke, they did the same thing every week, never mixed it up, they charged my credit card without my consent, then refused to allow my kid to do make up classes that were already paid for and were only missed because they closed down. The customer service was horrible. All they care about is money. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else

We recently had a birthday party at this location. The party was fine overall, but they run it like a factory where one group is showing up in the middle of your party and acting like you are in the way. They have the name changed on the birthday sign to the next child's name halfway through your party. Also they charge you for a larger group of party goers than you have and not tell you about it. They will then claim that when you booked they told you in advance to reserve the smaller party size so that this did not happen, but if that advice had been given up front one would have taken it - obviously. Real bait and switch. They take an RSVP count days in advance so they know how big your party will be. We have had seven birthday parties in Lake County and have never had to pay for more guests than we had attend the party. There's lots of options out there - I'd look elsewhere.

We have been coming to LGA regularly for 4 years now (since our kids were infants) and we will now no longer be returning. My 4 year old just finished her final 10-week session, where she had a different coach EVERY single class. In 10 weeks, not a single person knew her name. In 10 weeks, not a single person knew a thing about her progress. In the past, her coaches have showed interest and investment in the kids, now that is unfortunately no longer occurring. For my 3 year old, we had very low-energy coaches who did not interact much (or sometimes at all) with the children. For the majority of her classes, not a single time did the coach smile at my child, talk to her, encourage her, and worst of all yet, she didn't learn anything new. We had three parents in the class and we led the whole thing while the coach walked around silently and watched us. It has been such a disappointment to see the classes at LGA slowly degrade over time.

My step-daughters go to Libertyville Gymnastics Academy and have been for the past couple of years. They love it here because of the many different stations that they have, ton of floor mat space, trampoline, all standard gymnastics equipment. Their trainers are top notch and are great with the kids, and very patient. Also, I highly and I mean highly recommend this place for hosting a birthday party. We held a birthday party here for about 20+ kids, it included an hour of gym time, which also included 3 dedicated training staff to watch the kids and give them competitive activities for them to do, it included a party room and a 4th person that kept things organized. The kids absolutely loved the party here and was much more fun then sending a bunch of kids to a Chuck E Cheese. Less stressful for the parents too.
