I come here on a daily basis and the GTX classes are the highlight of my workout routine, especially the ones coached by Lucas. He’s one of the best coaches at this gym: motivating, supportive, and really knows how to challenge you while still keeping it fun. Highly recommend his classes!

This location just opened up earlier this year and it’s absolutely beautiful. Kenneth is the best rep and showed me around and helped me book complimentary services - they have cryotherapy, red light therapy, sauna, pickleball, and more amenities!

I love this gym. I’m a working mom with a very tight schedule, and this gym’s flexible hours and 5 am classes were a lifesaver. The classes are of manageable sizes, so diverse and fun, and coaches are very friendly and attentive. I’ve had experience with the other lifetimes, this one is hands-down the best. Facility is sparkling clean and new, and the recovery area is beyond comparison. It’s not too crowded so I can get a nice, clean and calmer workout environment. The sense of community you get from classes and personal trainers is amazing. We’ve moved away so we can’t attend this gym anymore but this is hands-down the best one around.

Just joined and easily the best decision I could have made when choosing the right gym for my fitness goals. Special shout to Amy who helped me get setup and answer all my questions.

I’ve been a member of Lifetime in the past, including the River North location, and first off their gyms spoil you. From the cleanliness to the various services offered, it’s hard to find a similar alternative.

When I was looking for gyms in the Evanston area and commuting from the north side of Chicago, I was curious about this new Lifetime location and I must say this is one of my favorite layouts among many other locations. Each area is its own dedicated section with equipment and machines for all target areas of the body and the best part is the amount of space given to spread out. I want to shoutout whoever helped with the layout because it’s ideal in my opinion, plus it hasn’t been too crowded from the times I’ve went so no waiting around for benches or machines.

Recovery area is top notch with many areas to stretch and use their multiple massage chairs. They do have a sauna, which is amazing, along with a dedicated pickleball court. While there is no steam room, jacuzzi, or basketball court like they have at River North, this location still is what I prefer because everything else offered is more than enough.

Since joining a month or two ago, I love the gym itself. Brand new equipment and facilities. My biggest gripe is the lack of evening classes particularly yoga. Never went to a gym that didnt have sunday evening yoga. It would be nice to have more yoga class times offered or more of any class in the evening. The gym is open very late (12am) but there are barely any classes 7pm or later for those of us who get off work at 6:30. My second complaint is the music is sometimes so deafeningly loud in the locker room it’s unnecessary and disturbing in the sauna. Other than that I love they have a power plate/powerplate and other unusual tools like hydromassage. The place feels like a gym spa, especially with the complimentary lotions and mouthwash etc.

This lifetime fitness is absolutely extraordinary. Everyone who works. There was professional and very patient showing me the club. I want to give a shout out to Rachel. The manager who showed me all the extras in the club and spent quality time explaining everything to me.

Rachel at the front desk truly went above and beyond for me. I wanted to watch the U.S. Open while cycling, and she personally took the time to manually flip through each channel until the match was on the screen. Thanks to her effort, I was able to enjoy both the game and my workout. Rachel, Billy, and the entire staff at Life Time have been nothing short of incredible — their care and dedication make all the difference.

Amy is literally the best they need to clone her and put one of her at every lifetime. Everything here is clean and they have cool new things at this spot like the mt Everest simulator n other stuff. Also all the workers are all smart n they make the gym a better place

The Life Time team in Evanston is incredible. They are so welcoming and helpful, and they make the gym feel like a community. Kenny and Billy at the front desk always greet you with a smile and are eager to help with any questions.

The gym itself has everything you could need and is kept incredibly clean / organized. The floor trainers are helpful and always willing to check your form or answer questions. Mike Christmon has coached me through a number of personalized training sessions. He is incredible attentive and invested in your health and physical fitness journey.

Unless you specifically need a lap pool or basketball gym, Life Time Evanston has everything you could want!

I’ve been to many gyms, but Lifetime truly stands out. The facility is exceptionally clean—from the locker rooms to the workout floors, everything is spotless and well-maintained. It creates a refreshing and motivating environment every time I walk in.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while now. Joined as soon as they opened, and after just over a month, I feel like I’ve got a solid sense of the place.

This gym is excellent for the location. I’ve been to the ones in Skokie and Northbrook, both bigger with more amenities, but I’m not comparing apples to apples here. This spot works for me and my wife. It has everything we need to stay in top shape.

The recovery options are top-notch. Hydro massage chairs, Normatec pressure boots, Hypervolts, all included in the membership, and they make a real difference if you take your recovery seriously. The cryo chamber and red light therapy are extra, but if you're into that next-level recovery and optimizing performance, it's well worth the price.

The classes are fun too. I’ve taken a few Alpha Strength classes, and they’re a solid mix of challenging and interesting. It's definitely worth checking out if you’re into more structured training.

Now, I’ve seen some complaints about the price, and here’s the deal: you’re paying for a different level of experience. This isn’t a cheap gym, but it’s not meant to be. If you want to get your ass kicked in a basic gym with basic equipment, that’s fine. But when you’re serious about your health, a place like this is where you level up. You’re not just paying for machines; you’re paying for quality and a different class of people. Everyone here is more serious about their fitness, and that alone makes a big difference in the atmosphere.

As for the pool, don’t care. I hate chlorine, and I swim in the lake when it’s warm anyway. So if that’s a dealbreaker for you, fine, but it’s not something I lose sleep over.

To those complaining about the price or any other nitpicky issues: if you can’t afford it, I get it. But when you put in the work and get to a place where you can afford a step up in your gym game, this place is a no-brainer. I’m here to work, not to hear people complain about the things they can’t change.

Excellent facility and so far not overcrowded! However, I am surprised that it costs more than the Oakbrook Terrace location which has more amenities, an outdoor pool, a larger cafe, a whirlpool bath, and steam room. The location here in Evanston has a sauna, but not a steam room (or whirlpool). I want to stress that the Evanston location is great. I just don’t see why it cost more than Oakbrook.
