Lifetime Lake Zurich has become my second home. It is the place to go and let loose and be yourself. I have participated in many group fitness classes where everyone feels like family and treats you with care. Since joining over 3 years ago, I have been in the best shape of my life, both physically and mentally. All of the instructors and personal trainers are welcoming and super supportive. The people at the front desk greet with happiness and add to the overall personal experience I have, making it a great one.

I began personal training sessions with Brian, which has been a game changer for my overall well-being. Brian helped me realise my potential and is a remarkable coach. He has helped me with my fitness goals and with his guidance, I have seen unbelievable results in a shorter time than when I trained alone. I thought I was weight training adequately, but when I began working with him, I noticed that my form and technique were off, which is why I wasn’t seeing the results I was waiting patiently to see. With his coaching, I have toned up better than before and my cardio fitness is optimal as well. Not bad for a lady in her 40s! I am super impressed and thankful for the opportunity to work with him. The investment in my health is well worth it for the impeccable experience I have at LifeTime.

This is still the best run Life Time in the state of Illinois. The facilities are generally clean and a certain standard for members and staff is enforced across the board. As opposed to the other Life Times in the area like Oak Brook which has started to resemble a rundown refugee camp with bad sanitation, Life Time Lake Zurich continues to deliver a nice experience. Even though it’s not always perfect, it’s very clear that management here care. Corporate should take notice and hire more GMs like this one.

Katterina upgraded our membership to a higher tier. Sofia got us the mug for (unlimited season tea and drip coffee). Additionally, "One" iced Chia tea with oat milk ( on the house).

This is by far the fanciest gym I've ever been to. In the morning and at night, there is always somebody cleaning the floors and windows.

Equipment is updated. Huge bar with alcohol. Live entertainment room as well as digital entertainment rooms. The Jacuzzi's, sauna, & pools are immaculately clean. For goodness sake, you can book chiropractic treatment.

Advanced hydro massage booking.

*This all began after Katterina consistently adhered to her word and called me back about a mug.

Katterina's enthusiasm, motivation and explanations about the different locations different tiers of membership, while checking people in at the desk was extremely impressive.

It was truly enlightening, not only to hear the confidence of how nice the members treat each other, but it was another ( level) to actually experience the welcoming and departure greetings.

I can't wait to return. I highly recommend this upgrade & location. You will not regret it!

I can honestly say Lifetime Fitness in Lake Zurich is one of the nicest health clubs I've ever been part of ---not just because of the incredible facility, but because of the people who make it special. Lindsay the GM and her team do an amazing job keeping everything running smoothly and creating such a welcoming atmosphere. She's always walking around the club, checking in with members, making sure everyone feels seen and appreciated.

The members themselves are some of the friendlies you'll find anywhere, it really feels like a community. The equipment is top-notch, and the facility is spotless, and the amenities are second to none. I especially love the cold plunge, it's a total game changer for recovery, circulation, and overall wellness.

Lindsay deserves special recognition for her leadership and genuine care for both the staff and members. It's rare to find a club where management is so visible, approachable, and truly invested in the experience of everyone who walks through the doors.

I was there first time for indoor triathlon (open for non-members for extra fee) and I was very impressed by facility. It is bigger inside than seems outside. I was able to find parking easy (that was one of my fear). I did got lost during transition from swimming pool to cycling area, but it was just me. Overall it is very clean (but shower cabin I took had used razor which was odd). Great experience overall.

I was at the front desk today, and it turns out the person working there is named Tony. He seems to have difficulties communicating — he doesn’t talk to people and acts very cold. I would suggest you pay attention to this, as such an employee could negatively affect the development of your establishment.

This club is the purple property of the monopoly board. Some of the most disorganized back-end I've ever seen at a health club in 40 plus years. the folks running this club should be replaced. they don't get back to anybody when they say they will, getting in touch with them is like playing a game of telephone. for a premier club you certainly are getting some bare bones appeal. One of the biggest issues is the front desk staff, Julie (glasses, who is never in a good mood) and especially Tammy, the front desk supervisor. Tammy is consistently rude, unhelpful, and acts like she’s doing you a favor just by acknowledging you. Any time I’ve had a simple question or needed help she’s been rude, dismissive and completely unprofessional. If you leave a message for her, don’t hold your breath, She never returns calls. It’s incredibly frustrating trying to get anything resolved because she either avoids follow-ups or acts like you’re bothering her.

Between the unhelpful staff, and lack of accountability, this gym just isn’t worth it. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere that actually values its members and provides real customer service You’d expect a supervisor to set an example, but she’s the main reason I’m thinking about canceling my membership. there are plenty of other options in gyms that treat you with respect

We signed up for a family membership at Lifetime Lake Zurich primarily so my daughter could use the pool. For more than six weeks—during the most beautiful weeks of the year—there were no lifeguards, making the pool unusable for my wife and daughter, per their policies. This meant we could not use our membership for its intended purpose. When we raised our concerns, the response we received was extremely robotic and impersonal. They simply reiterated policy. This response completely ignored the actual issue—paying high fees for services we couldn’t access due to their lack of staffing. Given the cost of a Lifetime membership, it’s disappointing that they fail to provide basic amenities and then refuse refunds when their negligence prevents member use.

We’re extremely disappointed with the pool procedures . It’s October 4th, it’s 85 degrees out and kids are not allowed because there are “no lifeguards”. This has been a repeated issue. We've called and visited several times in the past few weeks and kept getting vague answers, until today when someone finally told us that kids aren’t allowed by the pool after Labor Day.

For the amount of money Lifetime charges, it’s unacceptable that they can’t afford to staff 1–2 lifeguards during hot days, The outdoor pool is one of the main reasons we joined. We live in Illinois, where warm weather is limited. When it is nice out, we should be able to enjoy the pool otherwise, what’s the point of having it? Very frustrating and disappointing experience.

I got up from that chair with a different level of confidence. Kelsey came in with patience and listened to what I wanted. The whole time I felt comfortable and knew I was in good hands. She took her time and made sure I was completely satisfied before I got up. I plan on continuing to see her and highly recommend her for her professionalism and her kindhearted soul. Thanks Kelsey!

Posting for my friend’s mom for her privacy:

She worked with a trainer named Fetim and saw zero changes despite investing over $5,000. She said he was often on his phone during her workouts — sometimes for nearly half the session — and would even cut sessions short by ending them 5 minutes early.

For that kind of money plus the cost of a Lifetime membership, she expected professionalism — not to be shortchanged on time, effort, and attention. Instead, she feels she received the opposite of what she was promised.

What triggered her to make me  post this was the other members at Lifetime — the young woman in the Lake Zurich community group who lost 60 lbs — and realizing she never got that level of coaching or care. She feels not only let down, but embarrassed for trusting the brand with such a large investment.

I will DEFINITELY not recommend my family or friends to train here. Watch out.

If you want the “criminal mastermind trying to sneak into a gym you already pay for” vibe, Lake Zurich Life Time delivers. We usually go to Oak Brook with no problems, but this time my mom and I decided to check out Lake Zurich for the women’s cold plunge.

At check-in, neither of our apps would scan. The gentleman at the desk (“Will”) tried multiple times, finally got it to work — and then told us to go back and scan again as if we were pulling some scam. No apology, no smile, just a blank poker face while my husband and child stood there watching the whole awkward scene.

For the kind of money members pay here, the bare minimum would be staff that make you feel welcome — not like you’re on trial at the front desk.

Life Time in Lake Zurich is absolutely fantastic! The facility is impeccably clean, very well-maintained, and the staff is outstanding—always friendly and professional. One of the things I truly appreciate is the waiting list to join the club. I was on this list, and while it required some patience, it’s clear this system helps prevent overcrowding, which is a huge plus.

I also understand the reasoning behind the membership tier levels. It ensures the club maintains its exclusive and premium feel, preventing it from becoming just another gym. This is a true club sport environment, and for those looking for a more affordable option, there are plenty of other gyms out there. But if you’re seeking a top-tier experience, Life Time is worth every penny.

My family absolutely loves it here, and we enjoy the incredible amenities and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a premium fitness and wellness experience!

I really love this Lifetime location, and up until today I had nothing but positive experiences at this beautiful Lifetime location. However, this afternoon I have never been treated so poorly in my life by a front desk attendant named Don (a middle aged white male with a bald head), and I had to leave this review in hopes that corporate will take a further look into Don to determine if there are patterns of mistreatment of guests as I am concerned he could become a liability for this Lifetime location that is otherwise phenomenal.

Here is what happened: this afternoon I drove about an hour from my second-home in Wisconsin to workout with a guest I had in from out of town. When I went to check-in, I let Don know that I had a guest and I would like to use one of my guest passes. Don was immediately and notable off-put just by my request - guess it was extra work - and then he went on to ask my guest if he had been to a Lifetime before. My guest told him he went to another Lifetime in Arizona five weeks ago. Don then immediately told us that my guest cannot workout here because he used a guest pass five weeks ago and a guest pass can only be used once every six weeks.

From here, I politely asked Don if he could please make an exception, considering we drove almost an hour to get here, I had never used a guest pass before in my years of being a member, I did not know about the six week rule nor that my guest went to another lifetime on a guest pass five weeks ago in Arizona, and finally he was almost at the six week mark anyways. Unfortunately for us, Don must have been having a bad day, as he told me under no circumstances could he make an exception. When I requested again to please make an exception, reminding Don that I have never used a guest pass, and I am a very good customer, as not only have I been a member for years, but in the past I paid for one-on-one personal training 3 times a week for almost a year (thousands of dollars), so I would really appreciate the favor. In response, Don in a very rude manner stated no again, and even further, he stated he would be happy to cancel my membership if I didn’t like the rules because they have a wait list for this location, and, “if I was smart I would have called ahead.”

I was truly floored with Don’s response, as it was so rude and blandly smirky that it was clear to both myself and my guest that he actually enjoyed the fact that he was able to use his tiny bit of power to not only deny the entry of my guest, but actually insult me. I have never had or even heard about a front desk attended at a gym treating a guest so poorly. I guess I really just do not understand why when you have to put someone out like this that you then have to be rude on top of it. It’s like he was having a bad day and wanted to take it out on someone. Obviously I think it is pretty bad that he would not make an exertion to the rule, but to say what he said on top of this was wrong.

Like I said before, I love this gym and up until today had all great experiences. However, I really hope corporate takes this review seriously and takes a close look at Don to see if there is a pattern of complaints and mistreatment. The front desk is your first impression, and from this experience, Don might not be the best person to be the face of this gym. If this is how Don treats a long-term guest like myself in this situation, I am sure he would do nothing but escalate a truly stressful situation.

Extremely disappointing experience. What was supposed to be a Father’s Day gift turned into a moment of frustration. Upon arrival, my dad—who had a membership—was treated with such rudeness and condescension by the staff. They made him wait off to the side while other guests walked in and were welcomed and helped right away. The difference in treatment was obvious, and he left feeling racially profiled.

After reading other reviews, it’s clear this isn’t the first time something like this has happened here. You’d think by now, management would’ve stepped in and addressed these serious issues—but clearly, nothing’s changed.

We canceled the membership immediately. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, especially if you expect your loved ones to be treated with respect and dignity. Do better.

If you have money they will be kind to you. If you are middle class they will treat you poorly. The front desk woman, is very condescending. I belonged here for a year. Not too impressed. I went back to the Vernon Hills location. Much friendlier. I have to laugh when I read the gentleman's review. We all have our "own" experiences. Im glad he had a good experience but friendly staff, friendly manager, friendly trainers, funny. Did they give him a free month to say that? 🤔
If you have money to spend then ok but if you are middle class like me do yourself a favor and stay far away.

As a lifelong (80 years) attendee of the best and finest fitness centers, Lifetime doesn’t have to take second to any others. The best in every aspect including location, amenities, architecture, decor, size, facilities, equipment. However what really sets it apart are the personnel and general manager. All knowledge, professional, friendly, accommodating, and caring. This is from top down, from best fitness center general manager, to trainers, front desk personnel, and even maintenance personnel. I’m there twice a day, most every day. Breakfast in cafe with wife, and usually afternoon (3:00-6:00) workouts. Even get my haircuts there.

The parking can sometimes be tricky at times as there are a lot of members but still worth it for how much they have to offer from their workout equipment, swimming pools, group fitness classes, recovery tools, and cafe/lounge! So grateful to have a cold plunge in the woman’s locker room too. Thank you Lifetime!

February '25 Update: This Lifetime has upped its price to our insurance program so my family can no longer go. It's a shame they built this club in a middle class community then escalated the price to an economic demographic that doesn't fit Lake Zurich.

Bit pricey but the best gym in Lake Zurich. So many amenities.

May '24 Update: Still a great gym with many amenities and a clean facility. That said, some of the clientele lack gym etiquette like reracking heavy loads or wiping down a machine they just used. Not sure what the club could do to resolve the issue but it's an annoyance
nonetheless.

Dec '24 Update: The issues I outlined in the May '24 update were largely taken care of minus some remaining inconsiderate lifters leaving huge amounts of weight on racks or equipment. However, now the training staff of the club has become a bit of an issue. I've witnessed a number of trainers conducting circuits with their clients that they don't clean up after or they occupy multiple pieces of equipment for inordinate amounts of time.

Also, the rule enforcement at the pools is inconsistent. Some lifeguards will get on your case when you stray too far from your child, while in the water with them, or when want to try and teach your kids to swim yourself in a deeper pool. Other times, parents just let their young kids use the pool while they play on their phone and offer zero attention or supervision and the staff say nothing.

I've been a Lifetime member for almost two decades and recently transferred to this location. Unfortunately, I’ve encountered multiple issues with my account, and the experience at the front desk has been frustrating. Kirsten, in particular, consistently gives members a hard time regarding their membership pricing, even when the details are clearly explained. I watched her stop multiple people, questioning their accounts unnecessarily, leaving them visibly frustrated. Lifetime typically hires exceptional staff, but for such a premier location, someone like Kirsten is damaging to the experience and needs to be reconsidered. I will personally be reconsidering if I will continue my membership.

Immediately when you walk in, you’re treated like a 2nd class citizen. I was given a guest pass from a member, which I then had to download the app which is actually a nice touch, and as I scanned the QR code to get in I was rudely told I had to wait in the lounge for my friend to show up.

Ok, no big deal. As I’m waiting for 10 minutes I decide to ask the ladies at the front desk for a little more detail about the gym and the monthly costs. Innocent enough. All I get in response was, “275/mo for one person.” Like come on.

Whoever is training these people in the first place should be held responsible. Starts at the top. I actually was going to join Lifetime LZ yesterday. The money isn’t even an issue. It’s the first words that come out of peoples mouths that make the most impact. Just was really disappointed.

TL;DR Weird and off-putting experience trying to join this gym. Don't recommend. Facilities were nice though, so that's why it's two stars.

I added myself to the "wait-list" online and somehow I was immediately contacted to come for a visit and join. I wasn't ready to join at the time (I thought the wait-list was real lol), but I reached out recently to get a tour. When I called to schedule one, the woman on the phone rudely said, "well are you even on the wait-list??" to which I responded yes. When she looked me up, she said "well we couldn't get a hold of you so we marked you as not interested." So i told her I was interested, and she moved us to the wait-list again. I then asked when I could get a tour now that I was on the list, and she said she had "like 17 openings for the next day". IS THIS WAITLIST EVEN REAL?!

I showed up at the correct time, and the front desk was shocked and didn't realize anyone was coming, despite the fact that I was in their calendar system. Shortly after, Don came to greet me and asked about prior gym experiences. Then he asked "so what makes you want to join the most expensive gym in the area after not being in a gym at all?" Y'all, I had just given birth. That is why I wasn't currently at a gym. In fact, my baby was with me for the tour.

I was offered membership at the end of the tour. I declined. It was too weird.

I have been a member of LT for 20 years now. My friend and I, both members, decided to check this out and see what a better LT has to offer. My gym said that all I need is to show up, and I will be able to experience that gym for a day. They did not let us in! Front desk Don told me that I am only paying $160 and this is a $370 gym. That I am a lower-tier member and because of that I can’t get in. That was so nice to hear. It set the mood for the whole conversation. I asked for a manager, and he said that all managers are busy and its pointless as they will say the same. Oh boy, was he right! General Manager Lindsay showed up 15 seconds later (not busy anymore) to sort it all out. She would not let us in also. She kept saying that they have a “waiting list,” and all she could do was put us on a waiting list IF we are ready to join. I asked how long the waiting list is, and she said it’s private business information. I can imagine a waiting list for new clients to join, as the gym seems too popular, but for current members to experience a different LT for a day, that’s ridiculous.

I now believe that all these negative reviews about them being rude and shallow are true. Just because the gym is busy, you should not be allowed to tarnish the LT brand like that and talk to people like that, especially to current LT members. All my fault, I guess, as I should have put one of my suits before coming in. Lindsay, please have some respect to yourself and don’t respond to this like you do to others pretending that you care. You were the problem! The fish stinks from the head! Also, please don’t you ever come back to Algonquin LT as a GM. You are too special for regular LT gyms now. Thanks

Any Update?
Thank you for the information provided about the family locker room. I’m concerned about the policy where both the pool and the locker room close at the same time. How can members effectively use the locker room after swimming if both facilities close simultaneously? It seems this arrangement could potentially inconvenience members rather than facilitate a smooth end to their visit. Is customer convenience a priority in this policy? I am also asking because this seems to be a unique arrangement compared to other Lifetime locations. Could you please clarify the reasoning behind this decision?

I am raising this issue not just on my behalf but for all members who might be impacted. Thank you for addressing our concerns.

My question was:

I'd like to inquire about the operating hours for the family locker room. Are these hours different from those for the men's or women's locker rooms? I've received conflicting information from other sources, with some indicating that the hours are the same across all facilities. Additionally, could you please provide information on how I can confirm the operating hours and schedule for the family locker room? Thanks 🙏🏼

We had an incident at the pool where kids where throwing a football back and forth, it clearly states small pool toys are allowed in the pool, this was not a small pool toy. Lifeguards, pool management everyone wants to state this football was and is allowed, was allowed last year. The same kid throwing it was back there whipping it in the kids area yesterday. Well the ball ended up nailing my two year old in the face causing him to become concused. The teenage boy who threw its father proceeded to get into my wife’s face and accost her. Lifetime did nothing, she had to leave her cloths in her locker and exit to avoid confrontation. Needless to say we will be canceling our membership and moving forward with a lawsuit, I tried reaching out to rectify the situation but apparently the general manger Lindsey doesn’t know how to do her job and would rather loose a corporate account. You’ll be hearing from our lawyers, thanks Lindsey.

I’ve been coming to this gym since they opened up and I really like it. The staff is very friendly and kind. The equipment is clean. There’s a lot of cool people that come here that motivate me to keep working hard so it’s always a good time getting a work out in at this lifetime facility

I regularly go to lifetime Schaumburg and I’ve never been treated nearly as bad as this gym. I don’t know what wrong with just wanting to come and try to see the gym and/or use a guest pass(apparently you can’t use a guest pass after 8pm, this person is in there late 40s early 50s and dirty blonde)She is literally the worst. She works the front desk on Tuesday nights and acts as if I am some sort of a peasant since I don’t have a membership?? I could join this club no problem and she acts as if I am the biggest inconvenience to her. I genuinely believe that she should get demoted or fired absolutely the worst customer service experience I’ve had. BEWARE

Please like this review if you agree and they might do something.

LifeTime at Lake Zurich isn't living up to expectations. The saunas often don't work right, and the Suitmate Swimsuit dryer isn't of good quality, leading to embarrassing moments. Plunge pools are also frequently shut down. It seems like the people running the place aren't great at selecting the right equipment. They're constantly closing for repairs, which is frustrating.

It's puzzling why we're encountering so many issues, especially considering this isn't their first facility. They should have learned from past experiences. Upgrading their equipment and addressing these problems is essential. LifeTime could significantly improve if they took action. Your like could encourage them to make positive changes. Let's hope they listen and improve things soon.

Beautiful gym, but the hours are terrible and the gym is not friendly at all to those who travel in and out of town. Due to the nature of my work I frequently spend time between here and another state, and I often don’t know when I’ll be back and how long I’ll be gone. This means that it’s often not logical freeze my membership because they keep charging you when it’s frozen, and every time I come back I’d have to do the signup fee all over again. Even when I can come back after a whole year of being gone, and can only stay for 2 weeks, I’d have to pay the startup fee + the full month which is hundreds and hundreds of dollars just for 2 weeks. A day pass option would have been logical, if they refuse to do week by week ones. Lot of tiny TikTok generation teens/young adults going around recording elderly people with the intention of making fun of them online, that’s a behavior that I find disappointing to see. What direction is society headed in right. They have a restaurant here, that’s pretty cool, food is pretty par but it’s a good looking area. Supplements and things they sell in the restaurant area are sub par forsure, definitely get your supplements from elsewhere it’ll be much better quality and probably half the price. There’s a bar here, which is pretty funny considering it’s a health club and even the food they serve is healthy but I can’t complain about that, it’s probably for special events and that one dad/mom that doesn’t want to join in on the family workouts, who knows but probably a pretty cool place to get work done. Other than that, no real complaints. When I am in town I like to come here, but I’ve stopped coming here specifically just out of annoyance of their mediocre membership policies.

I really like this location but the staff are rude and arrogant. When they opened Lifetime Lake Zurich I switched from Lifetime Schaumburg immediately.I paid $170 for membership at the beginning . Then after a year I got pregnant and they froze my membership for 6 month and 2 month after I gave birth. When I decided to open it again I wrote them an email ( they were replying very slowly) and asked them  to open it in May but  maybe in June  I have  to put it on hold or cancel again because I wanted to think if I'm able to use it that much like before. Btw they raised my membership to $199.One of their staff called me and talked to me in a very arrogant way. He said what the point is to keep my membership if it's always frozen or on hold and that they don't have to keep track when I want to put it on hold or cancel it. I felt very disappointed and told him to cancel my membership. He was very happy and didn't even care. I changed my mind and will be  back for now . I understand that you probably have a lot of clients and you dont care for people who recently were not using membership but you have to be more polite because I used to come a lot before and still your client. You position yourselves as one of the best locations and not the cheapest one , yet your managers allow themselves to communicate with regular customers in a very rude and unacceptable manner. What kind of customer service is this??

The front desk crew is not well trained at this location. The last three times I had come in, including today at 1:30 PM, they’re talking to themselves and don’t even greet you. Very impersonal and it’s such a bad image for such an amazing gym. I literally said thank you after being scanned in and still got no response because apparently the employee was more interested in talking to the manager on duty. I love lifetime fitness and I hope that management takes this seriously.

Thank you so much for the quick response. Everyone upfront seems to be really nice people, They just needed better training and it seems like you guys are on top of it with this response.

I love lifetime, I’m switching my review back to a five star review because I really do appreciate the response and I know that the team will get better!

At the entrance they said that I could visit this place once a year, didn't know about this and was surprised what kind of staff was here, they were RUDE and ARROGANT while one of them refused everything, the second stood shaking her head and laughing at us, ( KIRSTAN her name was)maybe because of my skin , that's true unprofessional. Love the new Lake Zurich facility, nice staff, Very nice gym, love the cold plunge and spa area, I just feel that for the money that we’re paying they could keep the men’s spa area cleaner. The floor is constantly dirty, the machine that they use to clean the floor in the cold plunge/ hot tub area doesn’t clean the corners of the rooms so the corners are always dirty. Needs a good deep cleaning, I feel that if the manager saw it she would get tougher with the cleaning personnel. I talked with the front desk staff about it a couple times and they said that it would be taken care of. I look forward to this being addressed in the upcoming future, I know they can do better. Also the grout on the hot tub is coming apart so they put duct tape on it, the cold plunge steps have an issue with the grout coming apart as well.
Thanks, James

Revision after using this facility for 2 months:
I've tried various classes such as yoga, hot yoga, dance, Zumba, and En Barr, while also using the swimming pool 3-4 times a week, so I would like to update my initial review. The personnel at the front desk has changed a little and they are all friendly, informative, nice and very helpful. The entire facility, bathrooms, showers, including the sauna, swimming pool, steam room, jacuzzi, and yoga studios, are cleaned daily. In summary, the gym, and the atmosphere there is excellent and I love going there.
I would suggest that the swimming pool is vacuumed at night.

Initial review:
Life Time Fitness in Lake Zurich is a modern facility with membership fees exceeding $200 per month, but if you use BCBS, you can avail a discounted rate of $100 per month per person. Despite being one of the smaller gyms in its category, the layout can be a bit challenging due to the lengthy, winding hallways. Nevertheless, the facility boasts numerous state-of-the-art workout machines, two 25-meter indoor pools, a spacious steam room (though it may have an unpleasant odor), a sauna, two Jacuzzis near the locker rooms, and other newer amenities.

The staff responsible for the swimming pool is exceptionally courteous, friendly, and exceedingly helpful. On the other hand, the reception staff at the front desk often appear disinterested, occasionally bordering on rudeness, and are not particularly accommodating to new members, especially those like myself who pay through BCBS. Unfortunately, it felt as though I were more of a nuisance than a welcomed new member during my two visits to the facility. Regrettably, my overall experience was not a pleasant one. I've been at (4) different Life time facilities and this one has the least nice front desk personnel.

I hauled my cookies and my son (under 2) to this location as I heard about the opening last year. Typically we go to Northbrook but since I didn’t have my trainer workout on Monday, we paid a visit.

We were welcomed right away as we may have been flagged for our 1st visit there. The staff were friendly and offered to point some things out. I dropped off my son at the Kids Academy and was greeted with a smile. One thing I’ve noticed about LT’s Kids Academy’s is that each one has specific rules for that location. For instance, my son’s shoes had to come off because I was told “Since it’s a newer club, they wanted to keep it clean”. Ok sure no problem!

Moving onto to the 2nd floor workout/trainer area, it was wide spacious and clean. Now obviously this is Monday at 10am so who knows how it is on the weekend. What was weird was their slant board was under lock and key in the recovery area due to theft. Who the hell would steal that!!!??

One thing I did appreciate is how clean the Men’s locker room was. Seems like there was 2 guys constantly cleaning and tidying up the area.

On the main floor there is a pickleball court, a spacious lounge area and Cafe.

You can for sure spend several hours here especially with that nice plunge pool in the Mens locker room.

Also if you don’t like the rates for LT, don’t go it’s not for everyone.

There is plenty of parking so you’ll be good there.

FRONT DESK DAVID RUDE!!
I have been a member at lifetime for years. I wanted to try out this club so I went in and brought a guest. The front desk person David was very rude in telling me that my guest had used this pass twice in 60 days. There was no reason for this as I would’ve paid for a day pass but ended up not wanting to visit this club again. Later I added my boyfriend (27) to my membership after we had moved in together. He tried to go to the lake Zurich lifetime because it’s close to where I work. He tried to check in and the front desk women noticed that he did not have a picture or a signature on file. David was asked to help my boyfriend and he was incredibly rude to him. As a paying member he was absolutely out of line to not show any customer service care. My boyfriend got his picture taken and signature done and left. David working at the front desk is the worst mistake this lifetime has made as at least twice he has deterred members from even entering this lifetime. He really is a huge disappointment to the entire lifetime experience as he is the rudest employee I have ever interacted with.

I hate the new layout Lifetime is using for Hot Tubs. No co-ed hot tubs in the pool areas like at Vernon Hills or Oak Brook. When we go there as a family, it would be nice to hot tub and relax together, not in separate locker rooms. In some ways, Lifetime improves and in other ways they go backwards. This is them going backwards.

The swimming and spa facilities are beautiful, unfortunately the lap swimming and aqua exercise lanes are crammed full after 5p on weekdays + Saturdays with kids swim team and swim lessons, resulting in lengthy waits for a lane if you get one at all. I’ve had to leave without a swim more than once unfortunately. Hopefully it will get better after outdoor lanes are open— but if you can only swim in a tight window after work I would look for another gym.

The weights area is also well stocked and very nice. It does have lines even in the middle of the day sometimes but that is the same at basically every place around.

I see Sabrina for cutting my hair. She does an excellent job! I enjoy how personable she is and makes my haircut experience fun! What I like the most is how great I look when I leave her chair. I will be going to her for my hair from now on! Thanks Sabrina, you’re the best!

Been a member of this new club for a few months now. They only offer a Signature membership, but thata fine because it includes everything the club has to offer (spa services not included). My wife and I are really loving it here. It does cost a lot, however, we take advantage of most of the classes and that has really been the fun part. Example... I never thought I would enjoy hot yoga, but I look forward to every class. Looking forward to the amazing pool in summer!

Beautiful gym and beautiful facility and beautiful staff. It’s a little expensive but that’s why l come here to avoid the LA fitness crowd. I guess I’m snobby now that I write this and if you are too you’ll fit right in otherwise you’ll definitely feel out of place.

This has to be one of the worst Lifetimes I've ever been to. You build this entirely new facility, with tons of land to build on, and you dont provide a basketball court for members? What?!?! Every lifetime has a basketball court, except THIS location. What do they have instead? Pickleball courts? 2 of them? WHAT?!?
You can literally play pickleball on a basketball court, and volleyball, and many other things. Let's not forget to mention the membership prices are DOUBLE this cost of lifetime Algonquin. Yes double per month for this brand new facility with no basketball. I guess they decided to overcharge the higher income areas and offer bougie services that nobody wants.

Horrible decision by lifetime to do this.

Excellent club, the classes I've attended are so worth the membership alone. The pools are great and heated year round (inside and out). I'm excited to try out the cold plunge, saunas, hot tubs, and recovery lounge.
