Life Time Oak Brook is hands down one of the best fitness clubs we’ve ever been a part of. The facility is spotless, the equipment is top-tier, and the staff is always welcoming and professional. The kids academy is amazing — our family loves coming here, and it’s one of the few gyms where both parents and kids genuinely look forward to their time.
From the pool and spa to the classes and recovery areas, everything is designed at a high level. If you’re looking for a clean, modern, premium gym experience, Life Time Oak Brook is unmatched.
Highly recommend!

I was in town from MN for two weeks on work and trained at Lifetime Oakbrook. From the moment I walked in, the staff Brandon and Crew was extremely friendly and helpful they welcomed me not only for my workouts but also invited me to join the Alpha 6AM classes, which made my travel experience so much more enjoyable & kept me on track with my workouts.
The coaches, members, and staff were all incredibly welcoming to the point where I felt like a regular. It honestly feels sad leaving IL because I’ll miss the community I was able to be a part of here. The facility is clean, upbeat, and truly embodies what a gym experience should be.
Special thanks to Coaches Elliott and Jessie for the push, and to the front desk crew—Brandon, Veronica, and the rest of the 6AM team for the positive energy each morning!
Having run gyms for 11 years myself, I know what great service looks like, and this team delivered exactly what I would expect from a brand like Lifetime. I was so appreciative of the experience, and when I’m back in IL, I’ll definitely be visiting again. Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for not just a workout, but a community. 💪

Visiting from New York and haven’t been there yet, but the review from Isabella Jun is very scary and she deserves way more than one complementary beach pass. She didn’t say it, but it sounds like this could’ve been a racist incident and her level of detail was extremely helpful to perspective visitors for New York like me and now I know what to expect but it looks like from the reviews of lifetime is attempting to rectify all of the wrongs that people have flagged and they should know that they have a chance to clean up their image, but they need to really address some of these frankly shocking reviews yes I’m leavin review for a lifetime

Life Time has been my go-to for years, and hot yoga is by far the highlight! The instructors are warm, knowledgeable, and truly inspiring. If you’ve never tried hot yoga, you’re missing out—it’s an absolute must! The gym is always spotless and the early mornings (5–6am) are perfect if you love a calm, uncrowded space.

Mayra is AMAZING. I went to her several times to have my hair styled and it was always perfect. I have been having a hard time getting in with the person who usually colors and cuts my hair, so I decided to book an appointment with Mayra. I have never been more obsessed with my hair color. It is beyond perfect. She also listened to me and cut my hair exactly how I wanted it cut! She is also super sweet and friendly!

2 stars: cleanliness, some classes, and the wide variety of amenities,
This is my honest take on the facility. I was a member when they first opened. Location is convenient and accessible.
The amount of drama, attitude, and some of the staff act like they are “doing you favor,” is ridiculous. They have their favorites, treat some clients better than others.
Some of the staff here have no personality, are rude, dismissive and don’t even keep communication open. Would I recommend PT? Probably not. The gym itself, is expensive as it is, and oh let me tell you the staff doesn’t care. Sole of them will treat you poorly, while they forget they only WORK here.
Personal training here is a joke. Pilates is a joke, yoga is better than other classes but could make it more serene and inviting.
With the amount of money members spend here, at the end of the day. It isn’t worth it! Don’t waste your money unless you’re one of the “favorites,”
Overly crowded, and some of the staff act like they are shareholders and own this company- when clearly they DONT!
There are nicer people at LA FITNESS, or some
Of the studios around the area.

I got Gel-X nails done and was really disappointed. They looked okay at first, but within a few days, several started lifting and eventually fell off completely. Definitely not the quality or durability I expected. Won’t be returning. I had to find a salon during my trip to get my nails redone, definitely not worth the price.

Update: 7/25… the gym is great, the managers are awesome and the improvement ive seen here over the last year is spectacular. This place is running like a well oiled machine. Im here every day and I have literally zero complaints. The staff is so friendly and it makes me happy to see them every day. The trainers make the gym environment positive and welcoming. Everythings extremely clean. When I first started coming here this wasnt the case but now everything seems to be perfect.

Looks nice on the outside, but on the inside? Not so good. Temperatures ranged from 74 to a dangerous 80.5 degrees on the inside!!! The Lounge was open but unstaffed. I went upstairs to the pool bar to see if I could get coffee just to be told I have to come all the way back downstairs to LifeCafe. There are no privacy or handicap stalls in the locker room unlike my home gym. This was so frustrating that I decided to cancel my membership. My office and home gym may not be as large, but it is cooler, less crowded, is somewhat private, and has everything I need to meet my goals. As for the crazy internal temps, I'm reporting it to the local government for their awareness. I don't know the local ordinances or state laws/regulations, but something tells me this is a safety issue and is probably not up to standard. Crazy to think paying ~ $300/month only gets you this mediocre quality but some of the nicer gyms I've seen are actually much cheaper. : /

Lifetime Oakbrook: Where “Luxury” Ends at the Front Desk
As a paying member I arrive with my boyfriend as a guest and we both scan in. I ask the front desk employee — very politely — how the guest pass and rooftop pool fee work. The front desk employee responds with a look of contempt so blatant I wondered if I had offended her in another life. She answers my question reluctantly, with clear irritation: “It’s $50.” And then… nothing. No explanation. No next steps.
So I have to gain her attention, again, and ask: “Okay, where do I pay?” She gestures vaguely and calls over another colleague, Naomi, who responds with the same exasperated energy, as if fulfilling a basic job duty is somehow beneath her. My boyfriend hands Naomi his card and she proceeds to UNapologetically state the computer system is down and curtly tells us to go to the second floor to pay. Again not a shred of professionalism.
At this point, I’m uncomfortable, annoyed, and questioning why I pay over $300 a month for this kind of treatment. I decide not to meet or engage with Naomi further — that’s how unpleasant the front desk interaction was. And let me be abundantly clear: she / Lifetime have all my info and credit cards on file. My mom is also a member there. Not at any moment did I feel like I was doing something improper.
We head to the locker room, get settled, and agree we’ll handle the payment on the way down with someone else. Or, novel idea: they could simply charge my account, like any functional business. Or, if it’s truly urgent, Naomi knows exactly where to find me - with tact I’d hope. Although it certainly didn’t seem urgent earlier, when I had to chase them down for basic information about the guest fee and how/where to pay it.
We go up to the rooftop pool — after enduring a second round of “security” that felt less like a luxury gym and more like a desperate attempt at exclusivity you’d expect from a themed all-inclusive with plastic wristbands. We spend about $70-$80 on food and drinks. Relaxing. Finally. Until
Naomi returns. With backup.
She brings three employees with her to confront us like we stole something. I was the one who had asked multiple times how and where I could pay. I did their job for them. They have all my info and cards on file and they respond by sending a squad to publicly humiliate us , treating us as if we are fugitives?
Then she pulls my boyfriend out of the pool area— shirtless — like this is a criminal detainment. She doesn’t even offer to let him get dressed. And when he tries to pay? Surprise: the SECOND floor tap-to-pay system doesn’t work. So he has to go all the way back downstairs to get his wallet… only to have the a member of the maintenance staff yell at him to put a shirt on.
Let me ask: what is this place?
You market yourselves like the Rosewood or Four Seasons of fitness, but run the floor like a budget all-inclusive where the staff treats MEMBERS and their guests like intruders and fugitives. Want to be luxury? Start with hospitality.

I’ve been to this gym for a year now, and honestly, it’s disappointing. The place is quite dirty — the gym floor is not sanitized, and the equipment doesn’t get dusted regularly. The locker room is especially neglected: the floor is dirty and often sticky, making it uncomfortable to walk. The lockers themselves are never wiped down, so they’re dusty and grimy inside and out. It feels like they don’t prioritize basic hygiene here, which is concerning for a place where people come to work out and shower. The steam room is also a letdown — the sensor doesn’t work properly, and the heat is way too low to feel any benefit. On top of that, they never have paper towels in the restrooms, which adds to the overall lack of care. This gym seriously needs to step up its cleanliness and maintenance standards.

This gym is steadily declining in quality. My main concern is the lack of towel hygiene—there’s no regulation from management on proper use by members, and many towels appear unclean. This poses serious health risks and could eventually lead to permanent closure if not addressed. Additionally, a staff member ( handicapped with one hand) who works at the juice bar—despite using the gym for free—regularly uses profanities in the sauna, which is both unprofessional and disruptive. Management needs to step in before this place deteriorates any further.

I recently switched to this gym location, and today’s experience was unacceptable. I called ahead to ask if my electronic device was left at the gym, since I was 50 minutes away and couldn’t waste the drive if it wasn’t there. The front desk staff member, Jackie, refused to check or even confirm if it was in the building. She was rude, dismissive, and ultimately hung up on me — completely unprofessional.
When I arrived in person, instead of helping, Jackie sent me on a wild goose chase around the building, pointing me toward other employees who all said she was the one responsible for assisting with my request. She never left the front desk and made no effort to resolve the issue.
This level of customer service is extremely disappointing. Jackie’s behavior was unhelpful, disrespectful, and reflects poorly on the management of this location. I genuinely hope this is addressed internally, because no paying member deserves to be treated this way.

The only way I can express how the Kids Academy “leader” treated us is through this one-star review. His approach lacked dignity and did not reflect the standards of this club or the level of investment we’ve made for over 6 years. My family was treated like we didn’t matter—just another number. For $280/month, you would expect the gym to hire friendlier staff. For example if you request to stay in the sauna for an extra 2 mins when it's 11:30 it's kind of unbelievable to have the employee offer no resolution or leniency especially if the gym closes at 12. Which on the topic, why is Planet Fitness, a $10/month gym open for 24 hours, but this isn't. Will definitely be canceling my membership.

Disappointing Pickleball Experience
I called ahead to confirm that a member and a guest could participate in open play, but when we arrived, the pickleball manager, Ann, refused to let us play. She stated that guests are not allowed and that the member must have an official rating or be assessed first. This was never mentioned during the call, and the way it was communicated felt condescending rather than helpful. If these are the rules, they should be clearly stated upfront to avoid confusion. It’s frustrating to pay for a membership only to be met with poor customer service when trying to use the facilities.

3/13/25 Update - A few of my family members have LifeTime memberships through Blue Cross Blue Shield/ Well on Target. Up until today, they were paying $130.00 a month - just for access to Oak Brook! They will now be paying $199.00 because LifeTime, again, jacked up their rates. My membership was "grandfathered" so I am paying the same rate that I was before Oak Brook existed, supposedly it was frozen - until I learned today that even though my membership is "grandfathered", my rate still might go up. When Oak Brook was created, it was in the highest tiered package, there were no clubs above it, I could go anywhere. And then they opened Chicago and Evanston, which are in an even higher package! They know exactly what to do to piss off loyal members. The cost is not an issue for me, it's the principle behind it. Especially when they keep raising the prices but see no improvements.
LifeTime is doing everything they can to force out the middle class. It is obvious that they only want the upper 1%. I don't know if we're going to keep our membership or if we've finally had enough of LifeTime. Too bad they don't have an equal competitor.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I’ve been a Lifetime member for years and finally I’m frustrated to say this - in hopes Lifetime will address the issue. The negative thing I have to say is about their bathrooms. Way too few for way too many people. Two urinals and two toilets for the entire locker room and when they’re available, they’re usually gross. Considering this one of their newest locations, they should have planned this better. Not sure why such a huge, prestige gym would have such poor bathroom facilities. Please add better restrooms. Other minor complaint - prices in the food area seem to increase and are outrageous for what you get. I’ll never spend a dollar on food/ drinks/ smoothies. Although I’m a member of Lifetime’s highest level membership and can afford it, as we all probably can, it’s the principle behind it. If the prices were reasonable, I’d get myself a smoothie every single day. I will say that the bathroom issues and food prices are the same across all locations - whether it’s at the Bloomingdale, Vernon Hills, Oakbrook, wherever, which is disappointing.
Other than that - nice gym. I love the pool and hot tubs. A+ in these two areas.
To Lifetime - I highly doubt you’ll make the food/ drink/ smoothie prices more reasonable, even though membership fees continue to go up, but please fix your bathroom situations.

I relish visiting Life Time because it’s a haven away from home where I can unwind, exercise, and work. The staff is incredibly helpful and cheerful, creating a pleasant atmosphere. However, I’m concerned about the restaurant’s recent decline in quality and portion sizes, coupled with increased prices. For instance, the chicken in the food bowls is both hot and cold, and the quantity has been reduced. The taste has also become more bland. I expressed my concerns to the manager today, but I didn’t sense any genuine concern from her. Overall, a good place where I will continue to come.

The potential of this facility is evident, but the cleanliness does not match the monthly price. There is black mold and mildew growing in the tile grout around the inside of the cold plunge pool, which is quite off-putting! Additionally, the hot tub is not clean nor is hot enough. For a gym that claims to be luxurious, a deep cleaning and sanitization are necessary.
The sauna is also too small and not hot enough to accommodate the number of people who use it regularly. The steam room only functions if someone keeps rubbing the sensor to keep it activated, which is inconvenient.
On a positive note, the dim lighting and the upgraded tiles and granite in the locker room are a significant improvement over the older Lifetime Fitness locations. The shower heads and water pressure are still poor, like those in the old locations, which is disappointing. The pool is great, featuring a deeper 6-foot area that is nice for swimming laps. Overall, I believe this location is worth the price of the standard Lifetime Fitness memberships, especially since the older locations are way overpriced and lack cleanliness/upgrades. However, I’m uncertain if this location is worth the upgrade price from what I experienced sadly.I expected this place to be better; the online pictures are misleading.

Unacceptable service and questionable behavior.
I ordered a smoothie and waited 20 minutes while everyone who came after me was served. When I asked about my order, the staff member who took it walked away without addressing my concern. Another employee finally asked about my order, but by then, I requested a refund. The manager refunded me, but not the full amount—keeping the credit card surcharge, which is unfair given the mistake was theirs. It’s hard not to feel like I was treated differently for reasons beyond the service error, which is deeply disappointing.

Other than not having a cold plunge pool in the women’s locker room, this gym really has it all. The recovery center is my favorite part. The lead host in the area is Debbie. She is so helpful and absolutely lovely to chat with. The class instructors are seasoned and stable and they offer a variety of classes throughout the day. I used to love this gym - just a few years ago, it was one of the best in the area. Unfortunately, it’s become a shadow of its former self. The equipment is often broken, and the bathrooms are consistently dirty. Instead of improving, it seems like things are getting worse, yet they’re still increasing prices. Honestly, given the state of the gym, they should be lowering prices, not raising them. It’s really sad to see how far this place has fallen, especially with the drunk bartenders making the experience even worse...

Been a member since basically the opening of this location in 2021. I originally transitioned here due to the cleanliness of the Oakbrook location versus other local Lifetimes. Unfortunately, recently this location has been on a dramatic decline. I’m not sure if it’s due to the location being maxed out on members, a lack of staff to keep up with the increase in members, or both. The lady who used to clean the women’s locker room in the opening hours in early 2024 was amazing about cleaning and super friendly. Now, I barely see an attendant since she moved to a different part of the facility. On nights and weekends, the women’s locker room is even worse. There have been used razors and wash cloths left in the showers, towels piling up everywhere, hair all over the shower drains and walls is a daily thing. There was even a bloody panty liner left on top of the shampoo and conditioner in a shower. Sometimes the shower drains smell like sewage, the other day there was absolutely no hot water in the locker rooms at all. While some of these issues are due to members just not caring and picking up after themselves either, it is unacceptable for a Diamond club as expensive as Oakbrook to be this run down on a day to day basis.
The locker rooms are only one part of the issue as the increase in members has also caused an increase in classes on the weight room floor, causing even more of a shortage of equipment. There has been no additional equipment added (such as squat racks) but additional Alpha classes continue to be added at peak hours of the day making it nearly impossible to get a rack without waiting. Originally Alpha went 3 members to a rack, now it’s 2. I’ve even seen it where if the class isn’t as full, instead of using less racks and going 2 to a rack they will all just use their own. Ultimately, for the price this gym charges it won’t be worth going to anymore for the amenities and perks unless something changes to keep up with the growing clientele.

UPDATE:
This place has become a JOKE, TOTAL JOKE. They used to care about their patrons. Tonight, they sent an email revoking me senior father who was grandfathered into our membership (after my 66 year old mother passed away) and sending an email they were revoking him for a "non-compliant membership." My father has become endeared by the trainers there having lost 80 pounds working with them after my mom passed. The email I received in the body said it was from Darius, but the email address was Anaryiros and the signature was Jerry - the membership concierge at Burr Ridge? Being in marketing this makes me laugh because it also shows how little care they put into sending anything to their customers - because they DON'T CARE. It's a reflection of what a joke this whole organization has become - right from the top. They raise prices on the daily, water is constantly dripping in from the ceilings, when the hallway isn't caving in at the entrance during the winter, and they aren't even offering half the amenities they used to in the locker rooms! The classes this summer have also been cut in half, even though dues keep going up. Now this, revoking a membership via email with a weeks notice before months end, of my senior father. I thought big pharma was the devil, but know now it's Lifetime who has such a monopoly over this area in regards to the gym market, people don't feel they can join anywhere else to get the same amenities. I pray for the day when a larger gym with comparable amenities that actually cares about keeping members, comes and wipes this behemoth of a customer service nightmare off the radar. Then, maybe they'd get a taste of their own medicine - treating their patrons like a fly feeding off the dog crap on their shoes.

Reign your pool manager in or whoever handles the music! Me and several patrons complained several times on Fathers Day of them blasting the music too loud. My dad left because of it. They kept turning it down then someone kept turning it back up. It happened about 4 times. But whoever is saying they the music like this, was not your audience during father’s day at the pool. Listen to your patrons who pay a ton for this gym and pool once in awhile!

I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with Lifetime's spa services. I had booked a 3-hour spa session for a special event, only to have the appointment canceled just three hours before it was scheduled. While I understand that emergencies happen, they didn't offer an alternative slot, which would have been acceptable under the circumstances.
What made the situation even worse was the treatment I received when trying to resolve the issue. I attempted to speak with a manager, but they refused to address my concerns. After two hours of trying to find a solution, I encountered a rude and unhelpful staff member who displayed unprofessional behavior, including mimicking me and threatening to cancel my membership. Her conduct was not only dismissive but also racist, which added a layer of discomfort to an already frustrating experience. I am incredibly dissatisfied with both the service and the customer support at Lifetime.

Really need to better maintain both the facility and equipment. Treadmills are garbage, TVs don’t work and some are not properly calibrated— could walk on 10MPH.
Long stretches of elevators being broken. No hot water, nasty stench coming from the locker room, etc. Just bizarre stuff for a new facility, and happens too consistently at this price point.
Also - not explicitly the fault of the gym itself, but really need to reign in the 16 year olds speeding through the parking lot. Have witnessed several near misses with people. Lots of kids here, which is fine - but need to apply some rules or something.
Lots of members also leaving their gym bags around the weight room, very easily could trip/get hurt. Tons of people also “holding” machines and doing something else for 15-20 minutes. Really ruins some of the experience.

I saw this place had a cafe & I was trying to go in & order a smoothie & order an Uber bc our flight was just cancelled & rescheduled & we were dropped here by an Uber before we knew the plans of our last flight would be changed again. walked into the closest place, which was here. So went to go in & was screamed at by a very rude employee with black hair & a dragonfly tattoo I believe. I totally understand not being allowed in but I was unaware, and treated without any dignity because of it when I was already having a rough break from the airport.

1 star because there is no 0 star. My 12 y.o kid and I were not allowed to use the family locker and was told to go to the adult locker because she's cleaning. I said we're not staying in the locker, we're going to swimming pool. Then it turned into I'm not even allowed in there because that locker is just for family swim. I have been using the locker for a year and a half with my kid. Then I get a call to tell me they're going to make a "decision" on what happened, seriously, and they want me to pay an extra month for 3 people just to be able to cancel. I had better customer service at McDonald's.

They lock their doors before 11:30pm at this location which is crazy to me since they say they are open until 12am. This membership is not cheap but this location feels cheap. Dirty, unfriendly staff, closing early, smelly gym, broken/dirty/old equipment. Staff does not greet you nor do they say goodbye to you when you leave. Client service skills here are lacking big time. The GM here must only work in the AM the way the workers act during the night shift you would think this is LA Fitness/Xsport. I’ve scanned my membership here at this location before and then checked my app to see that they did not even check me in? What is the point of paying for a membership if they are not checking you in correctly. This is one of the newest lifetime locations in Illinois however it seems like it is in need of a remodel already and a new management team. I go to the Schaumburg, Vernon hills, Northbrook, locations and do not experience any of these issues. I hope the right people see this review and snap this location back into shape.

What's happening with the gym's equipment? Several treadmills are down. On some, you can feel the track components pushing you up as you walk, while on others, the track skids as you walk. I'm not a technician, but it seems like all this equipment needs some kind of adjustment

I'm concerned this club has started to pass its peak much like the Burr Ridge Club did several years ago. Cleanliness and Staff are great however maintenence seems to be becoming a bigger issue. From AC unit not working to lap pool always being to warm and cloudy and being shut down to noisey equipment needing to be lubricated . No matter how many times you bring the same issue up. It's like this stuff isn't getting fixed or they don't know how to fix it. It's also the most expensive club around and they raised fees. So you would think they would put someone in charge to handle maintenance issues better.

I joined a month ago and love this place. If you have young kids, it’s absolute must. As parents, it’s tough to find the time and coordinate a baby sitter. None of that is needed. When I have time, I can drop my 2 kids off at kids academy and fit in a work out. I love going to group workouts. I’m not motivated enough to workout on my own. Lifetime has so many classes, you’re bound to find something you like. Their warrior sculpt is like corepower yoga’s yoga sculpt class. I’ve done a few of the other yoga classes which are all great! The barre classes are wonderful as well - great for people of all ages. I use to go to pure barre. If that’s what you’re expecting, it’s nothing like that. There is no shake, burn or hands on adjustments. The barre classes are more relaxed, which I personally like. You can push yourself or take it easy.
You can sign up for classes on the app. They fill up quickly but you can join the waitlist. When I forget to sign up early, I’ve been able to get into the class about half the time by joining waitlist.
The place is clean, plenty of parking, friendly staff, and cafe has good food.

Richie and his morning crew keep the men’s locker room spotless! Due to the nature of my work I have gone to many Chicagoland lifetimes. While they are all very nice. Oak brook is my home gym and even if I have to get up earlier. I still like to go to oak brook. I have no complaints of the Locker room. The morning crew are group of awesome people always willing to assist if needed. The maintenance of this gym is worth the cost alone.

Great location. Love the group classes especially the Fight Conditioning one with Jesse E on Wednesday afternoon! You sure get a full workout while having fun and learning new moves. Jesse makes the class go by quick. His teaching style is outstanding. Jesse’s class has become so popular that it gets filled pretty quick. I see many of us arriving early and patiently waiting for 6PM to come to start the class lol. It would be nice if Jesse is able to do a second class at 5PM as well, especially since baby daycare closes at 7PM, I don’t have to worry about rushing back downstairs to pickup my babies before 7PM on the dot.

I cannot express enough how disappointing my experience was at the Oakbrook location of this gym. From the moment I walked in, I felt unwelcome and judged. TK, the manager, made it blatantly obvious that he had a problem with people of color. His attitude was cold and standoffish, and it was clear that he had no interest in providing a positive environment for all gym-goers.
Not only did TK ignore me when I tried to ask for assistance, but he also openly favored other members who fit his narrow idea of who should be allowed in his gym. It's disgraceful that in this day and age, someone like TK still holds such backward and discriminatory views.
It's high time for Lifetime Fitness to take action and remove TK from his position as manager. Discrimination has no place in any establishment, let alone a gym that should be welcoming and inclusive to all. Don't support a business that condones this kind of behavior. Look elsewhere for a gym that truly values diversity and treats all members with respect.

Our family of 4 have been members for a while now. A couple of months ago my membership was accidentally terminated. According to the gym, it was due to our insurance. Called our insurance company (which did not change) and they said that we have been paying and that our membership should not have been terminated. Have spent hours trying to resolve this mysterious cancelation in our membership. I've worked with the front to resolve this over 4 times and several hours yet it is still not resolved.
Most recently, I dealt with "Frankie" in the front on my 4th attempt obviously I was frustrated at this point (we have been paying my membership all along but somehow they still cannot resolve this) She was rude, defensive and unapologetic. Zero customer service and could not get me in touch with a manager.
Highly recommend choosing a local gym where they care about their paying members

Another "not my first time here, but first Google Review" for this place! Top Life Time location in the Chicagoland area in my books. Diamond-level and spacious, with an outdoor rooftop deck, lounge, and pool. Also has an indoor cafe like many other Life Time locations but also a bar and additional lounge area. Carrie ( Caroline L.- one of my favorite instructors )
Carrie very thoughtfully plans ahead for each class and presents us with a great exercise experience! She is always very generous with her time and is anxious to adjust classes to suit her clientele/students. She is aware of our age and motivates us as aging adults! I am very happy to get to know her and she is very cordial to each and every person. She knows our names and also leads me to be active by her example. She offers helpful tips about diet, lifestyle and safety for enhancing our everyday lives!
Her focus is giving us great workouts as our well-being is first and foremost. She should be considered a great asset of Lifetime Oakbrook! I am happy to be able to express my satisfaction with her presence. I loyally take at least 4 classes with her every week. She is continually sharing her knowledge and expertise with us!
Arora group free coffee or teas is on Tues. and Thurs. every week at 10 am. New classes besides Aqua and 360 are soon to appear on the schedule. Check your insurance plan and consider UHC with Renew active. Your monthly fee is included in supplement and advantage plans!

I've been a member of Lifetime Fitness for quite some time now, and I must say that my experience with GM TK has been far from satisfactory. TK's management style and conduct have left me with a sense of disappointment.
Throughout my interactions with TK, I've noticed a lack of empathy and a dismissive attitude towards members' concerns. TK appears more focused on asserting authority rather than genuinely caring about the well-being and satisfaction of the members.
Furthermore, TK's communication skills are severely lacking. Attempts to address issues or seek clarification have often been met with condescension and a complete disregard for providing clear and helpful responses.
As a GM, TK should be setting a positive example for the gym's staff and fostering an environment of support and encouragement. Unfortunately, I've witnessed instances where TK's leadership has led to staff members feeling demotivated and unappreciated.
In my opinion, a gym should be a place where members feel welcomed, valued, and inspired to achieve their fitness goals. Unfortunately, GM TK's demeanor has created an atmosphere that falls short of these expectations.

No gym etiquette at all, management confirmed they can’t do anything about it, so it’s basically a place members go to sit on machines with their phones. plan on waiting 15-20 mins to get on any machine. Pool and bar scene on rooftop is nice and the main attraction. this just isn’t a place to get a serious workout in, more to go and be seen, get a set in or two on a machine in and hour, and hang out at the pool.

Been going to the lifetime in Lake Zurich. Loved it and so clean. But I was in the area here in Oak Brook, so I decided to work out here since they are the same level gym. The girls' locker room is nasty. The hot tub water was murky. The locker room smelled like old towel. There were towels all around the hot tub area. Dirt and hair everywhere. Especially the floor. The treadmill screen I went on was glitching that I couldn't start the treadmill. Paying so much money a month, you figured they would keep this gym clean, even more so that it is a high traffic gym.

Lifetime is focused on creating an environment that makes you want to return to workout again and again. The opportunities to improve your fitness and well-being are endless. What differentiates Lifetime is the professionalism of their staff and the elevated knowledge they bring to all aspects of physical health, maintenance and repair.
Personal trainer, Juliet Rodriguez, is the ideal example of Lifetime’s care and attention to the whole person. Juliet was able to help me eliminate the pain I’d experienced in my hips and shoulders for years.I feel like I have a physical therapist and personal trainer wrapped into one as she carefully customizes my sessions to help me stay strong in this next phase of fitness. I also have to commend a few of the other trainers who have also helped with motivating me to want to show up and do my best. Place is not well kept and constantly completely filthy. For $150-$200 a month you would think this place would be in tip top shape constantly. The upstairs weight room is full of high schoolers that use the space for socializing and not cleaning up after themselves. All of this is happening while the staff walk around pretending to sweep the floors and not do anything about making the experience better for the guests. Hire some management that will get things done and listen to us members complaining in your reviews. I have been to so many gyms over the past couple years with traveling for school and this has to be the worst or a close second. Please, for the love of god save some money and get a membership somewhere else as this place is not worth it. I do not write reviews often as I am not hard to please, but I am going out of my way to try and help someone considering getting membership here.
Also, did I mention they put trash cans in the middle of the gym floor because they have had ceiling leaks for the past year? They had a couple leaks even in the entrance to the place and still have not fixed it. Just yesterday as well, they had a complete power outage and shut down the place. As I said, hire some management at this place and stop hiring kids! Rant over.

Update:
Adjusting review to 2 stars because of the non-thoughtful, canned response I received.
First off, I want to say how awesome the instructors and trainers are at this gym! They’re amazing, especially Sarah K, Christina G, Jesse, Saira, Maryam, Quincy, and Frank K. They are amazing and passionate about what they do and really care about the clients. Here is my big criticism, especially as of more recently. Me and my family are big class goers and are at the gym 6-7 days a week. But we also work full-time. However, there is a definite lack of classes Friday evenings and late morning/afternoons on weekends. Also… they’ve been cutting a lot of evening classes. After talking to many of the instructors, they are all willing to teach these classes and the need is there. I’ve even talked to several patrons who are disjoining because they feel that they’re being singled out because they work full-time. Specifically as an example, there has been a high demand for a Friday evening class, with Alpha Fight and perhaps GTX, and a noon class on Sundays. These requests for these classes have been made by both patrons and instructors and are not being heard. That is a problem. Recently, there was a 7pm GTX on Wednesday added which was great, but that type of inclusion of people who work has to occur more, not less. And there needs to be more to satisfy the later weekend crowd.

This place has kind of lost it’s spirit. I joined back in July of 2021 and thought this was the place to be. Flash forward to 2022 and it doesn’t have the same Vegas club gym vibe like when it first opened. However there are some workers that do make it feel welcoming.
At the front desk, Patty, Nick, Alex and Chase do an awesome job with welcoming members in and just making small talk.
For studio classes six rockstars of the studios have to be Aubrie N, Rachel D, Sarah T, Quincy M, Maryam M and Donna T. They do an awesome job making dynamic classes. Some of the other instructors classes feel very predictable with same moves and music week after week.
Juliet is an awesome personal trainer that really gives you no excuse to keep going during your workout. Definitely pushes you to go past your comfort zone.
In the Spa… Sherry, Mimi, Becca and Dina do an amazing job with making sure their clients are pampered and look amazing after leaving the spa. They are worth every penny and deserve the recognition.
In Aquatics Tori and Gianna do an awesome job making sure the pool deck is always clean and organized.
Logan, Anna and Javy in ops, do their best to keep this massive club clean
However, something that can be annoying is that sometimes there is an ops team member who I don’t know her name but she is always at the front desk but doesn’t clean when the first floor is pretty messy.
Another downfall is the lounge, the lounge closes too early and there is a bar tender who struggles with making good drinks. I think more education would be better for her. Not to make it all negative but Kelly does an awesome job providing quick service and exemplary drinks.
