Coaches are all so kind and explain the movements well. Beginner friendly. They use an app to book all your sessions and it’s really easy to use. I have only been going for about a month but truly love my experience so far. Also, the culture amongst the members isn’t intimidating at all! Very friendly crowd

I’ve been working out off and on for years but never consistently. This year is going to be different! I signed up and committed in December and went all in January 4th. In the last month and a half haven’t missed a class and have lost 13 pounds.

Everybody is friendly and classes accommodate all fitness levels. There is no judgement, only encouragement. We all just want to improve right?

There’s plenty of free parking and the building is secure. The workout space is super clean with well maintained equipment.

Just show up and do what they tell you and you will have fun and get results!

Great CrossFit gym with knowledgeable coaches who work to accommodate everyone regardless of fitness level, but still push you. Friendly inclusive people at all fitness levels. Gym is well equipped for all free weight exercises, whether during class or on your own.

So I spent about 6 months waffling on this gym. Their website was less than descriptive (since fixed) and the location, while conveniently next to the Kedzi Pink Line station, seemed a little sketchy as it’s in an old warehouse. (TLDR I thought it was a money laundering scheme).

But my partner wanted to take workout classes, it’s been a long time since they worked out, so I looked around the area. This was frankly the only option without an insane price-tag attached that wasn’t just yoga.

Finally went to a class, little apprehensive due to the above and bc neither of us had ever taken a workout class, and was blown away.

Entering the gym through the dedicated entrance brought you to a nice sized, modern space that felt comfortable, clean, and well lit.

During the class the instructor, Candace, was extremely hands on with us, making sure to go over each exercise and lift and evaluated our technique. They also found substitutions for lifts my partner couldn’t do. Repeatedly working with them individually.

On the other hand I thought I was in ok shape, but I finished the class collapsed on the ground and spent the next day sore head to toe. Between adding weight to each exercise and pushing harder on the cardio, everyone will find an appropriate challenge from these classes.

The benefit to my lifts has been crazy. I haven’t touched a barbell in about 6 years. And I haven’t done any legs except running. My squat in the last 5 weeks went from 105 to 215 today and my deadlifts to 275. That’s the massive difference they made by continually fixing and improving my technique, and pushing me hard, no matter what I wanted (I absolutely HATE squats).

I’d never really considered paying for classes or a PT before. Never thought it’d make a real difference. Happy to say I was wrong.

My partner has also enjoyed it. We have gone to 2-3 classes/wk together and there’ve been multiple days they pushed me to sign up when I wanted to slack, despite never previously having much interest in working out and 0 interest in weight lifting.

Anyway I’ll stop rambling. It’s been a completely positive experience, at a very affordable price. I think they have some kind of trial for a few free classes, so if you’re in the area you should give it a try!

Outstanding functional strength training gym with wonderful coaches who create a welcoming and engaging community. I’ve been a member for a year now and grateful we found this place right in my Little Village Community. I had to go other parts of the city to get this kind if training but always felt out of place. At Compound Fitness I feel at home. Facility and equipment are top notch. Pricing is fair and honestly, you get great value for the membership.

If you are in the little village or Pilsen area and looking for a gym. This is your place. The coaches are all awesome and can relate to you whether you are advanced or just beginning your fitness journey. Group fitness classes you can easily book online, or you can book a personal PT session with one of the coaches. If you are looking for CrossFit workouts, but not a CrossFit gym then run over here. you can sign up for a free class online come out and try before you buy!!! The space is big with plenty of modern equipment. Been going here for over 4 years and wouldn't change that for anything.

I’ve been a member at several gyms in the area and none of them have felt quite like home like compound fitness does. The coaches are the best! They’re very attentive and give great tips to improve your form, strength, and confidence. The members are so nice and are constantly cheering you on. It’s a great community and if you’re looking for a gym, you should definitely join!

My husband and I had been hoping for a strength training gym to open up around our neighborhood for a long time. These types of gyms tend to only exist in the north-side and in the burbs, but Coach Danny had the vision of bringing this type of fitness experience to more diverse communities; and guess what, folks in the southwest side also want to join/invest in these types of gyms! Apart from getting stronger and feeling healthier, we get to enjoy a good quality facility, with down to earth coaches (love Kim!), surrounded by people from super diverse backgrounds. The music is on point, and the occasional events and gatherings add to the sense of community we get to form in this “speak-easy” looking gym. You should definitely check it out!

Phenomenal 1st workout. Kim is ahhhhhmazing. I'm recovering from a knee injury and have been skeptical to join a HIT type of gym, but I missed it. I joined anyway and told the coach about my issues and will be modifying some workouts. JOIN THIS GYM!!! Fun and challenging. I'm ready to grow these muscles baby!!!!

One hour at this place will leave you drenched, out of breath, and motivated to do better with each visit. Even if you think you can’t do something, you’ll accomplish it by the end of the workout. The classes are small and everyone is family-like with absolute no judgement. The coaches are so helpful and encouraging. Just beware- if you leave your shoes in the closet, they might end up on EBay.

Compact Fitness has the most knowledgeable and helpful staff I’ve ever experienced. Danny and Angel were so welcoming on my first week. They are both super helpful, personable, and professional. I’ve been with Danny (owner & coach) for a while training at another gym & I loved how attentive he is. He has helped me fall in love with some of the moves I thought I hated before. He’s a great motivator & always helps with my goals.
The gym is a compact boutique gym with great programming & coaching.
