This place has truly transformed both my body and my mindset—I feel like a younger, more energized version of myself again. As someone over 40 balancing family and a full-time career, I finally found something that keeps me consistent, motivated, and genuinely enjoying the process. I began going to classes with Matt in August 2024, my wife pushed me to get back into shape and to hit the gym. I was reluctant, sleeping in and/or sitting on my butt is far easier than getting to Matt’s 5:30am class.

It was difficult at first, but after only a few weeks, I felt stronger, I began to sleep better, I no longer snored, and I began to have more motivation, both at work and at home. Now, as I approach my one year anniversary, going to 5:30am classes 3 to 4 times a week, I honestly look forward to it.

I think my reluctance at first going to classes was that I felt it “wasn’t for me,” that I would feel “out of place,” and I definitely didn’t want to be part of some gym cult. Classes with Matt couldn’t be further away from all that, there are all kinds of people who go to classes with Matt, moms and dads, young people and retirees - this gym is for you, no matter where you are on your journey.

Matt is always welcoming and motivating, helpful with questions and will often point out when you’re doing things right. That’s a big motivator for me. I appreciate Matt, the gym that he has built, and how attending those early morning classes has helped me become a stronger and more healthy me.

The best decision I made for my body and mind.

After trying several gyms—FFC, F45, PureBarre—you name it, I finally found my home at MHSC, and I’m so grateful I did.

I joined about a year before getting pregnant, determined to feel my strongest. Thanks to Matt and Will, that’s exactly what happened. I lost weight, got toned, and for the first time, I truly felt good in my skin.

When I got pregnant, I kept going—and that made all the difference. The workouts are so well-designed and thoughtful, and the coaches made safe, supportive modifications as I needed them. Will would say things like, “This is how you’ll carry your baby!” And “that car seat is gonna be heavy! This will help” — and those moments kept me motivated, even in the third trimester.

Because of MHSC, I had a great labor and recovery. I had the stamina and upper-body strength I needed, and even my doctor commented on how well my body handled it all due to being in shape.

I absolutely love working out at MHSC! The workouts are intentionally curated by Matt and provide a truly full body workout. They are always exciting, challenging and constantly evolving. Coach Matt brings an energy like no other and the music is amazing. Coach Will backs him up with incredible energy and knowledge.

Every workout is different and targets multiple muscle groups. You are constantly moving so it’s never boring. Coach Matt and coach Will are encouraging the whole time and are always helping members with their form while pushing them to do their best. And you can always count on Matt and Will to keep the vibes high and the laughter going. You can tell they really care about their members at MHSC.

The classes at MHSC, curated by coach and owner Matt, are exceptional. Matt excels as a trainer with his energetic approach, keen attention to form correction, and ability to motivate members to exceed their limits. His genuine interest in each member's progress is evident. Coach Will consistently offers thorough explanations for each exercise and enjoys engaging in conversation with everyone, ensuring a welcoming environment.

Since becoming a member of this gym, I have been attending five days a week and have noticed significant improvements. I feel stronger, leaner, and slimmer throughout. I'm continually noticing enhancements in my physique; I can even spot my iliopsoas muscle - j/k, I'm not certain of its name, but I'm definitely seeing more definition in areas I've never seen before.

I have been training with Matt for 8 years now and I have not regretted a single moment! All the trainers at MHSC do take the time to get to know each member, as well as their strengths and abilities. That is why they provide the best feedback, accommodations and modifications compared to the other gyms I've been to (I've been to a lot - I am a serial "will try anything" person). The renovated space is also big and spacious, with lots of machines and equipment that we can use. I also love that the trainers take the time after or before class to to answer questions and provide feedback on the workouts. Recently, the gym enforced a strict "be on time or get locked out" policy - personally I love this policy! Being on time and ready for a hard workout shows respect for both the people you are working out with and your trainer. Definitely a must try place!

I joined MHSC about a month ago after a few years of not working out consistently during my pregnancies. I was ready to reincorporate exercise back into my routine and build my strength back up, but wanted to do so mindfully and with knowledgeable instructors. I've never been a gym person so the idea of joining one was intimidating. I have been incredibly happy and impressed with MHSC. Best gym hands down! I’ve been going here for about a year and a half and just turned 40. My goal was to be in the best shape of my life by the time I was 40 and there's not a chance I could have done that without MHSC.

My husband had been going for 6 months before I started and would always come home and tell me I should try it. I’m an anxious, keep to myself kind of person and always thought there was no way I’m going to like going to a gym with actual people in it (I was happy doing my workout videos alone on my TV). To my surprise, it was the total opposite. I tried it and from day 1 I’ve felt welcomed and encouraged and motivated and I fell in love with this gym (and even more with the music!).

The work outs are different every day, which keeps it exciting and challenging for every part of yourself (body and mind). I now have muscles I didn’t even know existed. When I started, I had a chronic health problem that I had for 10 years. At the beginning, Matt helped modify for what I needed. Thanks to MHSC, my health is now totally back to normal. I leave the gym every day with a sense of pride and accomplishment and look forward to going again the next day. I’ve brought my friends here and they all love it, and even my 8 year old gets excited and asks which class we are doing that day.

Matt’s passion for his members shows every single day. He truly cares and wants to help you get where you want to be. Whether you are brand new to fitness, or have been doing it all your life, you will love this gym. He meets you where you are at and works with you from there. From showing proper form, to what to do to fix a sore/overworked muscle, he knows it all and is more than happy to help when you need, or even when you don’t know that you need help, lol. Although it is group classes, you still feel a sense of personal training at every class, I’m really not sure how he does it! The community he has built is incredible and warm and welcoming and you will feel right at home.

No question, MHSC has changed my life in more ways than one, and I am forever grateful to Matt and Will for all that they give and give up to be sure this gym is a positive experience for everyone who goes there.

Sooooooo after saying all of that…. go do a drop in class and see for yourself! You will not regret it!!!

I tried a class at MHSC in March on a whim, and I joined that same day. I have worked out for 20+ years, and this gym is truly unlike any other. One of my sons had some medical issues earlier this year, and I lost my way for a bit. MHSC has helped me get back on track. Since I've joined MHSC, I've lost 10 pounds and 5 percent of my body fat. I've written a review for MHSC before, but I figured it's been a while, and why not express just how thankful I am for this gym than on Thanksgiving! At MHSC the workouts are well planned out, demonstrated, and explained before each workout. Matt and Will both are very attentive and guide you throughout your workout. I never worked out before joining the gym and thanks to Matt I am physically and mentally in the best shape I've ever been in! Both of my little boys love the gym just as much as I do! I have been training with Matt at MHSC for the last 5 (going on 6) years and let me tell you - the workouts are never boring. Of course there are exercises that are a staple to every routine, but the trainers at MHSC always find creative ways to make the workouts out interesting and challenging. I visited the MHSC gym on Saturday, November 4 for the Full Body 7 AM class. I was amazed by all of the different workout equipment designed to work on specific areas of the body. We were broken up into groups of six and then we ran through a series of three different segments. The instructor Matt was great at keeping the group energized and encouraged me as a newcomer. I was given excellent instruction on how to use the equipment. The music and vibe were invigorating. I plan to return very soon.

This gym will change your life! And I really am not over exaggerating.

When I came to Matt's gym 2+ years ago, my back was a wreck. I had injured it years ago (L4-5 lumbar herniation with sciatica) and had spent the years between joining Matt's gym and the injury, in and out of major back pain bouts, physical therapy, pain specialists, yada yada yada...

It has been almost 3 years since I joined Matt's gym and I have had ZERO back issues since joining and attending regularly (2-3 times a week). And I don't think it's a coincidence.

Aside from that huge positive, Matt's workouts are very "curated". So if you like the idea of just showing up and having all the right muscle groups conditioned and all that without thinking about it, this is your gym. Matt is crazy knowledgeable and will help you with your form at a moment's notice.

The workouts focus a lot on core strength, which I think is why I have avoided anymore back issues, but you also see the results you want. Aka - you start looking like you want to.

I would and do recommend MHSC to anyone who will listen.

MHSC gym is not just a gym but a community a local small business. I have paid for PT , hit gyms, boutique style fitness classes and nothing compares to the results I have gotten at MHSC. Initially your first few classes you may feel like it’s very fast paced but after that second class you will feel like a seasoned member. I can't say enough great things about Matt and MHSC! Since having 2 kids over the past few years I've struggled to prioritize my fitness. I am turning 50 years old and my 17 year old son both work out at MHSC . Matt caters to all ages who care about fitness. Matt is a great coach and mentor for my son who calls MHSC his refuge where he creates goals and achieves them with the support and guidance from Matt who connects with our teenagers.
