I have been training with Malik for 9 months, and it has been a great experience. I have had difficulty keeping up a regular workout routine in the past, but our sessions ensure that I exercise consistently. In addition, he does a great job of pointing out what I need to do in order to take good care of my body. I have been especially grateful for how we have been able to reduce my back pain through our work together.
Working with Malik has been a huge quality of life improvement, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a personal trainer.

Coach Malik is a phenomenal person and trainer. He has an incredible ability to connect with his trainees and use exercises that have real game play applications. He has helped my 12 year old son increase his athleticism and mobility, focusing on areas such as explosiveness, change of speed and direction, and reaction times. Highly recommended.

What more can I say about Coach Malik that hasn't already been said? He's an amazing teacher and truly knows how to get on the same level as the young athletes he coaches. He's helped my son tremendously with all aspects of his sports journey (physical/mental). It took one session for him to pinpoint his issue with his running form and he worked extensively over the summer with him to improve his performance and it has shown with the results on the soccer field this past fall. We are excited to continue working with coach. ⚽️💪🏽

Coach Malik’s training has really been transformational for my son. Coach really challenged him and the others in the group, while still making it fun. Going into HS tryouts, his conditioning really made a difference in his performance, and we have coach’s camps to thank for that.

I’m gonna be honest, I hate working out. Literally would rather be cleaning the toilet. But I know I need to do it to keep this body strong and flexible and pain-free for as long as I’ve got it. Enter Malik. He comes to my apartment gym twice a week and puts me through my paces! He’s kind and meets me where I’m at every day while challenging me to push myself and grow stronger. I still can’t say working out is my favorite activity, but I’ve got a consistent workout routine for once and can see myself progressing in fitness, which is pretty darn cool. Best investment I’ve made in myself.

Malik is a fantastic trainer and person. What I appreciate about his practice is both his knowledge and adaptability. I sought out his work due to his knowledge in pre-rehabilitative training— exercise that helps keep people from developing and acquiring injury. What I respect is that he will listen to you and encourage you to work your best at the same time. If you suspect your body is not ready for a particular exercise, he will listen and adapt while still trying to optimize to get the best workout and progress possible for you. He is not dogmatic; he's very receptive and respects people's bodies and insights beyond his own— trying to meet them where they are in their journey towards health and wellness. Malik brings great humor, gentleness, and enthusiasm to his practice and is someone that I see being a great trainer to many.

I've been working with Malik for over a year now and he has truly helped me get as fit as I've ever been. When I first reached out to him, he was professional, communicative, and informed. He allowed me space to consider his services and was never pushy. This was a green flag compared to other trainers I was considering. In the last year, he has helped me get into the best shape I've ever been. The programs he makes are fun and effective. Malik has always taken my goals and wants into consideration when programming for me. I cannot recommend him enough.

Coach Malik has been training my 6.5 year old son for the last 10 months. It goes without saying that a special skill set is required to keep youth engaged and motivated throughout training sessions. While some might argue that starting training this young may be frivolous, finding the right coach that is able not only able to teach, but make a child comfortable in a gym setting was important to me.
Malik is kind and compassionate with my son. He is flexible and meets my son wherever he is on any given day. They work on agility, balance, and overall performance in their weekly sessions. He cares deeply about his success both inside and outside of the gym.
My son looks forward to his afternoons with Coach! If you're a parent in the city and want someone who will work side by side with your child, then Malik is the absolute best.
Of note, Malik is also very dependable -- he doesn't cancel or change scheduling. He is very committed to his work and will always show up for his clients.

Training with Malik from More Than Fit was great! He explains the exercises thoroughly, and is patient showing you the correct form for each movement, which I appreciate it! Malik was also great at keeping me motivated on the mornings I was sluggish, which was often. You get a total body workout and the time flies by! I cannot recommend Malik enough!

Malik is an incredible personal trainer who delivers results, enthusiasm and knowledge in equal measure.
I began training with Malik before a milestone birthday. I wanted to enter a new decade stronger and in better shape that ever. Malik delivered on all that and more! He took the time to understand my goals and customized a program to meet them, including corrective exercises to fix some long-standing back pain and poor posture.
Our in-person sessions have been invaluable for working on form and technique - plus, Malik is a lot of fun to spend time with and always keeps the workout interesting! I've always thought of exercise as a chore, but with Malik's guidance and ever-changing workouts, I actually enjoy the time I spend at the gym and think the results speak for themselves. I'm leaner, stronger and have fewer aches and pains than when I started. I have more energy and a deeper interest in investing in my diet to help me stay feeling good through my workouts and beyond. I've honestly learned so much and grown so much a- and I'm committed to keeping up my new routine in a way I never was before.
