It's a great place to workout. The layout is choppy, but it wasn't built as a YMCA. They did a great job utilizing all of the space, though!

Love the friendly staff and the good equipment! Also, it's never too crowded when I go. And I appreciate that they don't have wild crazy gross music. It's a cozy, friendly, community place. I wish we weren't moving to a new YMCA building.

I recently joined the Morris YMCA. I was going to another local gym, but I left it. It was run down and dirty, along with other deficiencies. The Morris YMCA is very well maintained in every aspect. I'll be glad when the new location opens, next year

Great Little gym, with dumbbells up to 50 lb. A nice Smith machine, and a machine to work every part of the body. Very clean & friendly staff. I'm from out of town but if I lived here I wouldn't hesitate to bring my family here.

I love the Y! This one is walking distance from where I live but I'd agree its underequipped compared to ones In larger areas

Classes are fun, have a good variety of equipment-IF they would let me use it. ZERO options for mothers of babies under 6 mos. Not pleased With the Executive Director Missy Durkin's response, asked no questions and acted like she understood when she clearly does not. Kept saying that "for policy reasons" my son couldn't be with me in the large, empty class area in between classes, but didn't show me a written policy for that. Didn't even apologize.

The workout classes, that I attend, have a tendency to be too large. I spend a few minutes, before each class, in a dilemma of whether I should stay in the class or not, on that day. Members, literally, are performing the workout "right next to" the trainer: the class, at this point is too full. In my opinion, that is.
However, and to be fair, I am pleased with the overall ethos of the facility. No business is perfect so I want to judge the Y with a healthy expectation; that is, the Y can be improved, in Morris.
