Not a fan of the pricing, the crowdedness, the set up of the weight room and I especially don’t care for the workers. They’re NOT friendly. Doesn’t matter the time of day or who it is, it’s always an awkward or rude experience. And there’s always people hanging by the front counter so the employees typically don’t even acknowledge my existence. My family goes separately than I and they feel the same. The four is us will be going elsewhere.

Why doesn't Morris YMCA have special rates for seniors? Other YMCA's in Illinois have them but not Morris. You have special lower rates for teens, but not for seniors who are living on a fixed income. I love to swim but cannot afford your high membership prices. You also don't honor Silver Sneakers memberships while other YMCA's do. I have called with these questions but the people I've talked to on the phone say they don't know. Who do I get answers from when people who work there don't know?

Not sure if this is where u need 2 post.. but my son joined the flag football team through the YMCA… what a joke honestly… 1 day a week practice n the coaches don’t seem to care or even try to give the kids an opportunity to succeed! Is the program just to pretty much take money from parents !?!? Not happy at all with it!!!
Thank you for your response and I just hope something is done ! All parents work hard to earn money so we can give our children an opportunity. Honestly for our son’s team… the coaches just don’t seem to care so why even bother wasting our time and money! I would definitely like some type of resolution.

I have been going here for about 2 weeks now and don’t get me wrong the place is Beautiful, however as someone who’s not over the age of 16, there’s not much I can do without paying extra. For example for me to be able to work out, I have to pay $20 to sign up for lessons on how to use equipment. I understand it’s for our safety but I feel that if we have a membership teaching the kids how to use the equipment for free will make them want to keep coming back. I also wish there The basketball courts would stay open longer because some kids have things after school and by the time they get to the Y to go practice most of the time pickle ball is happening so they’re forced to wait for a weekend or go somewhere else. But overall, the facilities are very well-maintained and I look forward to going back very soon.

I am so glad that we decided to join this new YMCA as part of the early bird program for our entire family. Without exaggeration, this is a world class facility. Everything is so new and perfect. The staff is friendly and helpful. And all of the equipment is so very well maintained. The pool is immaculate, and the lifeguards are attentive and well trained.

Went for the tour and the new building is amazing. Machines are state of the art- they can sync to your workout devices and show real stats based on your profile. The pool is huge with large windows that let so much light in. The outdoor track is connected to the nearby park, it seems, which is great for anyone who wants to do laps without having to go inside. The hospital portion is spacious with wonderful staff and an incredible imaging room. What a wonderful asset to the community.
