I've been coming to Motus for almost a year now for Pilates and absolutely love the studio! Erin and Vince have created an amazing boutique gym and Pilates studio. They are both so friendly and receptive to member's feedback. The Pilates program has grown so much since I joined and all the instructors are great! I always leave each class feeling challenged and stronger

I've been doing Pilates and Yoga and both are delightful. The instructors are kind and will offer different levels so you can challenge yourself if you want to. They're also good about giving reminders about form to avoid injuries.

Love this studio! I’ve done the unlimited Pilates for 3 months and have really enjoyed it. The classes are small so the instructors are able to pay attention to each individual and give corrections. Love it!

Vince, the owner of MOTUS, has been my trainer and champion for almost 10 years. His physical training certifications and qualifications make it very easy to fully trust his tailored program for my fitness. He has created a really wonderful culture at MOTUS. I have met many of his other clients in passing and in semi-private workouts - the person that Vince is and how he shows up professionally is a trait that he has in common with all of his clients, regardless of what industry they are in. He has helped me make fitness a true lifestyle and I am forever grateful.

A few years ago, I hit a fitness plateau due to menopause, then post menopause. I had no idea why I stopped getting results even though I was working harder. The change came when I started personal training with Vince Barbaro. It’s been almost 2 years and I haven’t looked back. He assessed my personal condition and, based on his experience and extensive knowledge about physiology, he revamped my routine. He helped me push through that plateau to meet my fitness goals to build strength and stamina, get lean and prevent injury. He continually assesses my progress and incorporates a lot of variety to drive better results. He explains mechanics to ensure proper form, teaches through demonstration, and encourages/challenges every step of the way. Most importantly, he’s a great trainer who cares about his clients and he makes the work fun. I look forward to and feel grateful for getting my tail kicked twice a week by this guy!

Motus Functional Fitness gym is the perfect setting for private/semi-private training but Vince also offers virtual sessions when I’m out of town
so we maintain consistency.

Thank you Vince. You are the best at what you do!

I have been training with Vince Barbaro at Motus Functional Fitness
and Performance for about five years. I was in my mid-fifties when I
started training with Vince and I wanted to get in better shape as
well as stay on top of a couple health issues. I knew that I needed
someone to help guide me to obtain those goals. Vince was and still is
the perfect trainer for me. He worked with me to create a workout
plan that was obtainable and started me on the road to reaching my
goals. Over the years we evaluated what was working, what was not and
also any new goals I wanted to reach. Amending the training plan along
the way to continue my progress forward. Vince’s guidance and
attention to making sure my form and technique were correct has led to
achieving goals I didn’t think were possible in my late 50s and into
my 60s. I love my 6 AM workouts with Vince. Also, the days I am not
scheduled to see Vince I can use his Motus app to access workouts he
has programmed for me. Thanks to Vince I see the results his training
has had on my body and health keeping motivated to continue to workout
and set more goals to achieve

I’ve worked with Vince and Motus Functional Fitness for the last three years, and it has entirely changed my fitness routine. From starting with virtual workouts during COVID to now attending small group sessions multiple times a week, Vince has catered his sessions to my needs. He makes his sessions exciting by incorporating new workouts to switch things up. He also meets his clients where they are - if someone wants to focus on a certain ability or feeling sore for the day, he customizes your plan to help you meet your goals. Vince cares about his clients’ success towards their goals well beyond the sessions he has with you. Vince and Motus Fitness has helped me create a sustainable workout routine that I’m committed and continuously excited about!

I've been training with Vince for the last 4 years, and he really is the best functional trainer I've ever had. He focused on teaching you correct form, and tailoring custom sessions that helped me get stronger and move without pain. Even helping me work through chronic shoulder pain, with great results.

When I started training with Vince, I had knee, back and shoulder issues. In the past I have done 2 triathlons, bike races, and running but inevitably I would end up with an injury, that would take me out of working out. I have been working out with Vince for a year and half without any issues. Vince’s attention to his clients individual needs is laser focused. His ability to continually find modifications that are not only doable but net great results without issue or injury is spot on. I enjoy the variety he offers, his energy and commitment to health and fitness.

I have been going to Motus Functional Fitness and Performance to train under Vince for about 3 years now. I have seen him for one-on-one training during that time, although I know that both semi-private and Zoom-type training are offered at the facility. Moreover, besides the workout portion there are facilities that are used for Pilates exercise and massage. Originally, when I started seeing Vince, I told him what I was hoping to achieve and he took me through various programs that he believed would help me take me to my goal. Of course, he gave me advice about how quickly I should go to achieve various goals along the way.
As regards the facility itself, because I workout in the afternoon there are generally very few trainers/clients using the machines or equipment at one time. The trainers and clients that are there are really nice and accommodating. Also, the studio has equipment and machines which caters to every body type and seemingly every goal a person may choose. Aside from Vince, I find the facility and the equipment are very clean. There are several bathrooms and a couple of showers for after-workout use. Clean towels are always provided.
I would recommend giving the studio a call and setting up a convenient time to see it and ask any questions you may have. Unless you have a trainer that is already attached to the studio, I would recommend speaking with Vince. Let him know the various specifics you would like in a facility. I think in the end you will want to join.
