The trainers at Movement First are great. They are all very knowledgeable and motivating. Corey has helped me develop a workout routine the takes into account my back issues without sacrificing strength. He mixes it up and keeps it interesting. I really enjoy my time spent there!

The trainers at Movement First are top notch. As a college athlete that has worked with many professionals in the fitness industry I can confidently say that Alex and his team are among the best in the game. They work diligently to understand the individual needs, strengths and weaknesses of each client and address them w customized and systematic fitness plans. I cannot endorse them enough. The facility is also top of the line. I would highly recommend Movement First to anyone at any stage in their fitness journey. At Movement First you’re in good hands!!

Alex R. Is an amazing trainer who is more like having your own PT/ trainer combo who customizes onging assessments and routines and sets you off to both do workouts with him and on your own. He is always learning new things through trainings with other health care professionals that benefit his clients. I have personally gone through being flat on my back with back issues to being in the best shape of my life - Alex has played and continues to play a critical role in this journey.

Without a doubt, Movement First offers the most highly educated and knowledgeable trainers I have ever worked with—and I have never been in better shape. I've worked with many good trainers over the years, who've all had different, but good methods. I can honestly say that working with Alex Rodriguez weekly for the last two years has been a better experience than I can ever have hoped. Beyond the personal training for increased muscle and mobility, they bring so much more.

I tore my Achilles years ago and have never fully recovered to where I hoped/expected to be, but working with Alex and Josh Ellis has given me so much hope that I'm getting closer to my goal each day. I can go on and on with other "out of the box" things they work on with me, like breathing out of a balloon to open up my airflow and mobility, but will just end this by saying they are the best and I truly look forward to my weekly training sessions at M1!

Josh has been my trainer for many years and is literally the best! I seem to get stronger and more agile with age which I didn’t think was possible. He’s not about the short term gains but more about longevity and looking good always without having any pain which has been the result of previous trainers I’ve had.

I would highly recommend Movement First to anyone! They are beyond personal training and I would put them in a category beyond that!

I love working out at this gym! Not only are the trainers super nice and professional but they come up with new innovative ways to work your body. Everyone there is great to work with. Alex is a fantastic trainer. He doesn't just dictate to you, he really teaches so you understand how you're improving your health. As an XC and T&F athlete, I have worked with many sports professionals, PT’s, chiropractors, and trainers over the years. Alex, by far, is at the top of my list. I’ve never had someone take the time like he had to document and comprehend my injury.

My time working with Alex was cut short due to me living on campus, but he taught me exercises and breathing patterns that I still implement today. Alex is a holistic and wellness-centered person, and he delivers his knowledge to clients with ease.

Training with Alex has been so great. When I started training with Alex it was clear I needed work on my form, hip flexibility/mobility and I wanted to work to prevent a recurring hamstring injury. We did mobility, stretching, strengthening & more. I saw improvements in my performance during races & practice as well as reduced pain! I first came to see trainer Alex Rodriguez because of pain in my lower back. In our very first session, he corrected breathing and posture issues with me that made me feel better immediately. I was excited about all that I was learning from him. Over the course of a year, I learned so much from him about stretching and posture. He is enormously talented, and a pleasure to work with. I feel much better after working with Alex, and he gave me tips and exercises that I use regularly every day. No matter what question I asked him, or what body part was giving me trouble, he had a stretching technique or a fitness technique to make me feel better. I highly recommend Alex.

Absolutely extraordinary! I cannot even begin to describe how amazing Alex is. I am an amateur bodybuilder and have been training and competing for a while now so I know a thing or two but nothing compared to what Alex knows. About a year ago I injured my back very badly while deadlifting and when I say bad I mean I thought I’d never walk again. Alex was referred to my by one of my best friends and I was more than happy to see what he could do for me and hopefully one day I could be able to compete again. From day one of my therapy with Alex not only was I able to move my feet again but he was also very detailed in his explanation of the whole process and movements. I cannot stress how important it is for people to understand what they are asked to do and how they impacts their performance. With that being said I was with Alex for just about 4 months by the end of my therapy not only was I back on my feet but I was back in the gym 4 times a week as well as I felt like I had acquired so much knowledge about my body and how to take care of it that I felt like Alex was a college professor. I seriously cannot say enough about how professional and intelligent he is. He has such a keen eye for the smallest details that create a huge impact. Alex is one of the most brilliant professionals I’ve ever worked with and it goes with out a thought that he is my NUMBER ONE recommendation for anyone no matter if you’re seeing him for recovery or just to enhance your performance. From the bottom of my heart I am thankful for Alex and the life changing work he does.
