Couple areas for improvement.

1. Cardio equipment is never clean. Hairs, sweat, they need the workers to help clean and not just stand behind their desk. They just rely on the users to clean the equipment when they are done.

2. Half the cardio equipment is not plugged in. It’s useless and makes no sense. Either fix it, or plug it in.

3. Pin selection equipment is small and limited. Many older folks sit in them for a long time, I’d suggest getting more of the most used machines, especially leg press.

4. Matrix equipment instead of techno gym like many gyms, just cheaper equipment which as I said half is never working or plugged in.

5. Employees are nice, indoor track is nice to have.

6. It’s a hefty fee, make the place nicer.

Great facility. Extremely clean, quiet, and not too busy. Machines are always in good condition. Hot tub and pool are great. Having towels provided is a huge plus as well.

The main downsides are:
- No child care anymore.
- Hours are too short. Not sure why Friday closes an hour early and 6pm closing on weekends is way too early.
- The 2 person membership should be the main user + one guest of their choice. Instead it has to be assigned and only that person can come with you.
- Price is a tad bit high with these cons. If these weren't issues, I feel like it would be worth the premium.

Very clean, lots of equipment and decent staff. But over two weeks now with inoperable TVs! They say it’s a Comcast problem, but hard to believe fixing cable service is that hard—especially since Northwestern is such a huge client. I can see two days, but two+ weeks? Staff have no clue when it will be fixed.
OK, after about 2 months the cable TV programing finally got "fixed". Unfortunately we went from about 70 channels to 25 or so. No news, no CNN, no CNBC--you have to be happy with sports or something like watching old Matlock reruns! I come in the early morning and expect to catch up on the day's news--no longer. I suppose I'll have to purchasing a live streaming news channel for my personal phone.

Pricey, but worth it. Very clean with a multitude of machinery, lap pool and therapy pool. They do not honor silver sneakers program. Locker rooms are amazingly clean, fresh towels, showers with shampoo, conditioner, soap, shave cream. Hair dryers, hair spray, body lotion, mouthwash and even q tips! Great classes available, but they fill up quickly. Thing I appreciate most is that, unlike some gyms, it is NOT a 'meat market' filled with 'muscleheads' . Just a pleasant environment where you can focus on your health goals, individually. In groups or with one on one trainer. Accessible for wheelchair, walker, rollator. Great indoor walking/running track. No kids, no daycare, which is a good environment for me. Helpful, friendly staff members in all areas. Elevator available. Great hours from early am to late pm.

Although Northwestern Medicine Fitness center has signs posted, there is a constant and flagrant disregard for the "no camera's, no photo taking" in gym locker room. I have mentioned this to fellow gym members over a dozen times and complained to staff whom have an almost equal disregard and disrespect for allowing this illegal activity. I don't care if the camera phone is pointed at me or not. This activity in a gym locker room is illegal! If the staff continues to be uncaring to the issue, maybe this issue should be reported to the Illinois State Health department who employ people who give surveillance to such places so they and can start fining and/or ticketing people!

This was the best experience for a gym/fitness center in my life personally and worth every penny. A great ambiance. For a health club and great friendly members and staff. Very clean and just a pleasure to go there. Felt like a spa experience in the locker rooms to me too. I had to move and signed up for the Dekalb facility and it it horrible compared to Geneva. I feel like I am at a PlanetFitness there and Geneva was much more professional and executive type crowd. Older and mature not meat head and younger.

Highly recommend Geneva location and highly don't recommend Dekalb.

If you have to do therapy or anything like that, this is the place to go. It's not your regular health club where there's a bunch of kids. It's definitely for people with a lot of therapy plus health club experience, and people that want to get fit and healthy. Very clean, the help is very good.
Looks beautiful inside and outside the locker rooms are beautiful. Swimming pool areas and therapy pools are great. Exercise areas are beautiful. I just started my cardiac rehab here and I will become a member I think.

Do not allow Dr. Lawrence Martin to perform any surgery on you or your family members. He performed a rhinoplasty surgery twice on my daughter and then offered to take her back a third time when he did not perform the surgery correctly the first two times. Her nose is worse than before. She will now need major reconstruction on her nose. He should be bared from the OR. I will pursue him within his professional organization. My daughter will need surgery by another plastic for the third time for a basic deviated septum repair. In addition, I paid over 10K out of pocket. Feel free to contact me via LinkedIn. Zero stars.

The cancellation policy is predatory.

They won't let you call to cancel because "it's a financial transaction, so it requires you to be there in person." (What?)

So I went to cancel in person, and I couldn't because "membership isn't in today." I asked if I could just leave a signature with a note. "Nope, that's not our policy."

They also don't prorate the cancellation, so this circus is costing me an additional full month at ~$90. Do you really want to give your money to an organization that's going to be this hostile towards you as a customer?

Hot tub out since July, 2022. Still not replaced or operating Feb 5. Fees went up to over $92 individual membership. That's 14 higher than Lifetime Fitness Life which has much better year round facilities, pools and hours extensive on nights weekends. Delnor has location nothing else and their hours are awful for working people. High market price but treat members like we are meaningless. Staff repeatedly given no or bad info on hot tub return to service. The club is operating like a not
for profit but charging over market prices.
Really sad no respect for existing members.

Went there for aqua therapy. The therapy pool was in an extremely closed in area. Between the 92 degree heat and so much chlorine it made your eyes water, I left feeling dizzy and unwell! To top it off we had to wear a mask in the pool! Could barely breathe! Won’t be returning!

NMDH&F Center does not make it easy to join with only one membership coordinator on-site daily. On a good day the coordinator might stay until 5pm. Some of us still work 9-5. Promotions only add another layer of inconvenience to the membership process, with the inability to post-date a membership (for 3 days), forcing potential members to make another trip to save $150. How about simply lowering your membership pricing for the convenience of your members and as a service to the community?

If this wasn’t the only game in town, I would certainly be taking my business elsewhere.

Don’t get a comfy feeling about the ability to respond to a medical situation at Delnor Fitness Center because they are less prepared than XSport!

My husband and I decided ti join Delnor and drop our XSport membership because we felt that with my spine disease I would be safer at a healthclub affiliated with a hospital. We also thought it was cleaner until I got an infection from the therapy pool but that is another story. Back to the medical response…

This past Saturday my husband And I went to the club. I cannot do very much in the way of exercise because I have some nasty issues with my spine. I ended up having a severe pain episode as my vertebrae slipped out of place and was pressing on a nerve so I was unable to move well and just needed a WHEELCHAIR so my husband could get me to the car. We were told by both of the women on duty that the club does not have a wheelchair and they would need to call paramedics to get me to my car…Yes I am serious. Today I received a call from the club manager telling me they do have wheelchairs - three in fact - but the people on duty dis not know about them. Seriously - your two people taking care of the club do not know where wheelchairs are?(!!!!!). If they don’t get training on where the wheelchairs are what are the odds you will live if you have a heart attack or an accident that causes you to bleed significantly? Isn’t there a law requiring emergency training at health facilities? Seriously? Call ab ambulance to get me to my car in the parking lot of a hospital-owed healthclub?

Great facility with 25 meter lap pool, steam room, dry sauna, & hot tub. Locker room provides towels, shaving cream, hair dryer, & the lockers come with their own lock. Good gym with great equipment. Great pool for lap swimming and also a warm pool for therapy. Many choices for classes both in water and on land. Exceptionally clean. Locker rooms provide more than 10 private showers, towels, soap, shampoo, spray deodorant, hair spray, many blow dryer stations. Like a resort! Also has a cafe with good soups, salads, sandwiches. This gym only caters to stay at home moms and people who do not work. They change their fitness class schedule providing no options for members who work. After being a member for over 10 years I reached out to Joanne, the Center Director who provided no solutions or options for rectifying this problem. My wife and I love this gym and the fit-n-fun (child daycare) services. The staff up front are awesome and very friendly and our 1 year old loves playing with the kids/toys in fit-n-fun (especially when Dani is working), so it's a win-win. This gym has a ton of amenities like pools, hot tubs, saunas, huge locker room with showers, tons of cardio machines, an indoor track, free weights, resistance machines, studio classes, massage therapy, full court basketball,...etc. They have just about everything you could want to be active and they are never too busy to get a great workout in. The only bad thing is since the gym doesn't have personnel on the floor that wipes down equipment and they don't enforce the "wipe down" rule, the equipment is 9 out of 10 times still sweaty from the previous person. I have never seen anyone wipe down equipment BEFORE using it, so I think the sweat just compounds on itself. Great gym, but I honestly have never gotten sick (cold/flu) as many times as I have since joining this gym and I have always gone to all my gyms 5-7 days a week.

Ive been going to the workout center for few yrs and never had issue with classes but recently they have made some changes to schedule and rooms. The class size today and in past week has been very large. To accommodate everyone it should really be moved to a different area. The room they have us in will not accommodate all members wanting to do this class. I hope within the next week they come up with a plan to satisfy members.

They have a nice warm therapy pool with lots of aqua aerobic classes scheduled. For those who want a bit colder pool, they have that as well with many classes. They have swim lessons for all ages from beginners to those who just want to polish off their skills.

They have a large gym with plenty of equipment including free weights and drags. All of their fitness staff have college degrees and are happy to help. Spin classes, yoga classes both seated and regular, and others are available from early morning to 10 pm.

A cafe is open during the day as well as a child care area.

Exercising at the NW Health& Fitness Center is the most pleasant exercising experience ever. Each tread mill has its own TV - time flies while watching sports or your favorite show. Fresh terry cloth towels everywhere. Latest machines and a comprehensive variety of free weights and benches. Togs shop, water dispenser to fill your bottle, comfortable locker rooms stocked with toiletries and free lockers with built in combo locks.
