Just excellent. I used to frequent the Belleville location and it's nice but has a much smaller parking lot. The people here are all friendly and facilities are very clean. I often joke with my wife that the restrooms and equipment has that hospital clean feel about it. Can't recommend it enough.
Edit: After 7 months of eating right and coming to here regularly, I've lost 93lbs

I’ve had two horrible experiences with the front desk staff. Especially with front desk worker Amanda she’s very rude to children over the phone and in person. I’m teaching my children as they get older how to go and handle business and speak to people and socializing but with people like Amanda ruin it all and make children not want to deal with the public.

The O’Fallon YMCA in Illinois is one of the most awesome community places to exercise and get together with your community no matter whether it’s for youngsters or seniors, they have something for everyone.
The staff is amazing and helpful in every way every day and the facilities are clean, and the choice of activities from kids to seniors is amazing, including the overnight trips.

Poor customer service! Enrolled my son to a swimming class that was supposed to be a 4 session class. 1st day of class was cancelled due to the weather. Was informed that the class was cancelled 5mins before the scheduled time and we were already there. Totally waste of time!!!! They shouldve informed us at least earlier. Second, since the class was cancelled we were told that there will be a make up class. Last wednesday, June 25th was the last day of the class. Nobody informed us that there will be no longer make up class and that will be the last day. Today, July 2nd, We thought that its gonna be his make up class from the first day that was cancelled. The Aquatic Director, DARCY BENWAY said that there is no Make up class and the session is only up to 3 classes. Totally different from what we have told at the first place!!! She also said that if the class was cancelled twice then thats the time that there will be a make up session, which TOTALLY DOESNT MAKE ANY SENSE!!!!! If thats the policy they shouldve informed us before!!!!!! Our total experience was ruined by her RUDE BEHAVIOR!!!!

Nice facility, good equipment, nice staff, layout is terrible and cramped in the weight room. Also half the time it’s literally clogged with 15 year olds just hanging out on equipment. Not that big of a deal if you never shower at the gym but never any hot water no matter what time it is. If you take working out a little more seriously maybe not the place for you

I have recently gotten back into physical fitness and I love and look forward to my daily lap swim. Today after work at 345 I got into the pool knowing they closed at 5 and was stopped at 4 by a lifeguard and told the pool was closed.. probably should have a sign or something to let people know this.. Bullshit

5 stars to Laurie who assisted me in my complaint regarding a young counselor yelling at my 12 year old and another counselor trying to escalate the situation after it had already de-escalated by invading my personal space to get me to step backwards, stop talking and leave. I honestly didn’t even know how to describe the second counselors behavior when I spoke to Laurie. The second counselor was very intimidating though and treated me like I did something wrong after catching the first counselor screaming at my son for asking to play Poker and telling her they let him the day before. She demanded to know who let him play and became irate when he didn’t know her name.
I was very upset and disappointed with the actions of these counselors when I spoke with Laurie and she assured me she would speak to them and additional training was in the works. I’d say my current rating for the camp is a 2 but Laurie’s professionalism led me to rank YMCA as a whole a 5 and I am hopeful the camp will become a 5 too with her in charge. Thank you Laurie for taking my concern seriously. I also hope that her conversation with these young ladies went well and they are able to learn from this to provide better care for the children they are left in charge with.

We have been YMCA members for 27 years, initially at the Park & now at the Seven Hills Road location. YMCA is the major reason we live in this community. Today I mentioned massive pre & after spraying on the machine at the front desk. The young lady not only disagreed but defended the practice of spraying even though I mentioned the aerosolized chemicals frequently get in the airways of the person next to the machine. I suggested that Y put a sign so that members spray the paper towel in their cupped hands and use it on the machine rather than directly on the machine. As a medical professional, I know the Respiratory toxicity of such chemicals not to speak of COPD & Asthma.

We have only used this location for swim lessons. Through our multiple sessions, we were happy with the progress of our children. Most of the instructors were successful with improving of swim skills. The facility was always clean. When you have young children and you overlap with other classes, the family changing area gets packed and it is limited for space. You have the option to use the M & W dressing rooms as well.

Child Watch is located on the first floor, on the entrance to the right. Extraordinary nursery room! Plenty of natural light and huge compared to other YMCA's Child Watch rooms. My only observation to the staff is, and I know dealing with kids is not easy, is not to yell to the kids. It looks like some of the staff also have their own kids there, and the way they were talking to them was kinda rough and they also used the same tone with the other kids. I stayed 2 full hours on the tables next to the Child Watch room and I could clearly hear everything that was going on. I will still bring my kid to this place, but not as on a regular basis.

My family and I love this YMCA! It might as well be our second home. My children are recognized by the staff like Lauri, Blanche, and Lindsey in Child Watch. The facility is well kept and maintained. I have never had to alter my workout due to workout equipment being broken, unserviced, or unavailable and I appreciate the approachable and friendly staff. Happy the mask mandate has been lifted so smiles can shine bright.

I like this Y location because there seems to be less unsupervised children in cardio and weight areas than other Y locations in the area. The equipment is nice, and there’s a variety of cardio machines. The only drawback is there isn’t a lot of space to do floor exercises—Belleville is a better location for that.

My kids attended summer camp at this location. The counselors and facility were fabulous. Camp definitely helped my pre teen focus on something else besides a tablet and her brother was usually so exhausted that he was falling asleep by 7 and excited to go back to camp the next day. I highly recommend this camp. Register early!!

Class was amazing this evening. They have childcare and a huge child facility with 5 childcare providers in the care room - plenty of room to play tag hide and seek and art projects! Pool is nice with a sauna 😍 great after lifting. Locker rooms are all under renovations but almost complete within the next 2 weeks. Nice flooring and swimsuit dryer in the locker room. Basketball court is a full court and volleyball court for pre-k - adult leagues. Staff is plentiful & very warm. Guests were friendly. Like the cardio overlooks the sunset 🌅 plenty of space cardio, track and weight room, yoga studio - upper class rooms with free weights and cardio rooms. Well organized facility.

I have fallen in love with Zumba thanks to Benita’s 4:15 class! I’ve been going regularly for over a year now. There is such an amazing energy with a great group of people, the music is on point, and it’s so much fun! She always says there are no wrong moves, just have fun. I try to get to her class as much as I can. It makes working out so much more enjoyable. Keep up the outstanding work Benita!!!

Seems a great facility though the men's locker room/shower reeks of mold and mildew. You can smell it and see it at the bottom of the shower walls. It's black and orange and really nasty. There is no way this can be healthy. Needs to me remediated immediately.

They use your money to order hundreds of dollars worth of catering orders then use it as a tax write off.dont tip the driver not one cent.but try to say they use the income from memberships to update facilities there. shamefulness on their part! And management thinks it's ok to stuff their faces with your money but not tip someone that drives to restaurant waits for order and drives it to them.using their gas. miles on their car.with no compensation!

I like this YMCA, and I’ve been pretty much going to this YMCA my entire life. I’ve never had trouble getting a swimming lane, and the workout area is always super clean. I remember a time when I myself as a young child, playing in the YMCA daycare area, and now, over 15 years later, I’m still using this gym. It feels like family, something that has always been a part of my life. I enjoy working out here and the staff is always so kind and helpful. What I feel like the YMCA has that no other gym has, is that it centers around family. It really is a family gym. Im excited to continue working on my health journey here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the YMCA.

Parents and staff allow children to play on gym equipment while people are waiting to actually use the equipment. Much of the time these kids are utilizing the equipment inappropriately and when the parents refuse to monitor their children, the staff doesn't circulate to oversee and correct the misuse. It's not safe and distracting.

I have 2 children and they are monitored and kept occupied in the Child Watch facility or I don't bring them.

I was running on the upstairs track. I felt like I was done, and decided to give up and start walking. Some random person saw me stop running and yelled, “c’mon, don’t stop now”. I mustered up the will to keep going for a few more laps. I don’t know if he works there, but it inspired me to keep coming back and working on my goals.

I am not one that really likes going to the gym, but to help with weight loss and start working on strength training. I looked at several gyms trying to make the best decision. I chose O'Fallon YMCA - Illinois and it has been the best decision. I loved working with Ryan. He provided many great workout options for my level of strength training. I enjoy the variety of workout classes offered. The child watch center takes amazing care of my son while I work out. I feel very comfortable with him in their care while I take some time to work on myself. The facilities are clean and the equipment is well taken care of. All the members of the YMCA are friendly and it's a nice environment. It doesn't feel like a "gym" but a family and friends. The swimming lessons provided for children is great and we have done several sessions with our son. I am very happy with our choice to use the YMCA for our family and highly recommend it to others!

This place has amazing programs for kids and the child watch is too notch. However, the weight room upstairs is a mess. And the setup of free weights completely separate from machines downstairs makes it difficult to accomplish certain workout styles.

The O'Fallon, IL YMCA is amazing! The kids love going to the kid area. The equipment and rooms are always clean. The pool is a huge plus! The people are always so nice. My family and I are very thankful for the O'Fallon YMCA! The employees (always wonderful), the classes (always great), the facility (always clean), Kids Zone (my kids love it!) but I have to say that we are most thankful for the amazing swimming program. Our children becoming strong swimmers is very important to my husband and I. We are so impressed with how the program is run. Sometimes with group lessons the kids don't really learn much. The YMCA program was revamped and it was done well! We're so impressed with the program, the class sizes, the instructors patience and hard work with the kids. I cannot believe how well my kids are doing with their swimming. My oldest who was once very nervous about the water is now a strong swimmer...entering Level 5! My son (7) who wasn't a huge fan loves the water now and is making great progress and my youngest (4) is just doing so well! They have reached this point with the amazing instructors that they've had...Brett and Nicole have been absolutely amazing with my kids. They are wonderful instructors and should be very proud of their accomplishments. My family and I thank you! Keep up the great work!

I am at the Y pretty much every day. The staff is super friendly and most know my family and I by name. My kiddos have taken swim lessons and one session of soccer. The member rates for kids activities is fair and worth it. I do wish I qualified for a corporate discount but my current employer does not have a contract with the Y. (Hopefully they will eventually).

My family includes 4 children ages 4-10 years old, and mid 30's parents.The front staff at the front desk, child watch, and swimming department are GREAT!! I could walk to the East Belleville location without breaking a sweat, but I still choose to drive the 13 minutes to the O'Fallon YMCA. Every question I have they are able to answer or at least get me to the best person to answer it. The swimming instructors are thorough in both general lessons and semi-private. All four kids and one parent are on their 3rd session of swim lessons; and we will continue to take lessons at O'Fallon. The locker rooms are always clean, as well as the child watch area. Added bonus for my family is running into the kids Great-Grandma as she is also an O'Fallon YMCA Member :)

Up until last night I would have given you a 4 maybe 5. My daughter came home from trying to use the pool during Open Swim hours last night, 09/17/19. Why do I say trying? Because while there were 2 open lanes there was already 2 people in one lane and the swim class gentleman decided to take up the second "open lane." On top of all this a water aerobics class was taking up the remaining 1/4 of the pool-which to my thinking would leave a 1/4 for the swim lessons. This gentleman teaching the swim lessons refused to move. My husband and daughter did what they were supposed to do, they addressed it to the Lifeguard and then the front desk. The front desk told them to have the swim class move. Did they go back and address this themselves with the instructor? With the Lifeguard? No. They leave it up to the PATRONS to take care of it for them. This is unacceptable. It is not our job to do yours for you. The entire situation took 45 minutes and my family did not get to step foot into the pool. What is the purpose of the "Open Swim" (and I use that term loosely" if you can't utilize the facilities because the "staff" isn't willing to work with the patrons to make it work for everyone. This was an entirely resolvable situation to everyone's happiness too bad it didn't happen that way. This is extremely frustrating.

The Ofallon Y is a great gym! It is my home away from home. The childcare is great. My kids went to summer camp there this last summer, and had a great time. We also do swim lessons, gymnastics, personal training, and some of the sports programs. The Barre and Piyo classes are my favorite.

Friendly staff, often greeted upon checking in. Schedules for classes are up to date. Child watch is the best feature for parents wanting a moment to themselves. They take pride in keeping our kids happy and safe and learning. Cardio room and weight room can get busy but the track is a good back up to walk until the crowds move out a bit. The pool and sauna are both well maintained.

Have been a member for years and attended many of the classes. With four kids, Taekwondo, swim lessons, and gymnastics have provided affordable activities that they all enjoy. The staff are all friendly and welcome everyone through the doors. My family couldn't ask for a better place to go!

This Y has become an extended family. This family has celebrated the good things and the bad with me. When I retired the classes gave some schedule to my week and got me out with people and the exercise got me healthier.

This location has very friendly staff and some excellent programs. Julie Murphy, the Youth and Family Program Director, does an excellent job working with both parents, coaches, and kids from the community. I'd highly recommend this facility and the YMCA in general.

So far the best YMCA in the gateway region that I have visited. There is a sauna, pool, track, basketball courts, cario equipment & reasonable weight selection. It is very good in terms of cleanliness & staff support.

I am a member of the YMCA in Central Florida. I worked out at this site for two days while in town visiting family. The facility was very clean and the staff was extremely helpful and polite. I was also able to take 3 group fitness classes and found all 3 to be very good. I was extremely pleased with the experience.

Staff is friendly and facility is clean, but good luck ever getting to swim laps. The pool is either full of screaming children or there are no lap lanes available at all. I would also love, love, love to use the climbing wall, but it isn't open as they do not have anyone certified to work it. I would rate higher, but those are the two main reasons I joined. I'm now considering the MetroPlex, as there are more swimming lanes/times available.

The YMCA SUCKS!!!! Even for swimming if your wearing a life jacket u can't go on the deep side🙁🙄🤔 and if a family member works out u have to be a certain age to do something I'm 10 and my bro went to go workout and they made me wait in the lobby while they worked out I was just SITTING there doing nothing The ppl there are nice and all but still

I worked here for years in High School and even now as a twenty-something I can firmly say this is the best gym in the area to be a member of. Between the vast array of programs, reliable equipment, and clean facilities there isn't anything like it that I've tried in or near the O'Fallon area.

My nephew visits every summer from New Jersey. He loves the summer camp. The staff are young bur well. trained and professional.. The front desk staff, Charlotte, Lisa and Anne are wonderful. I enjoy the family like atmosphere of the YMCA as well.

I love the community atmosphere here. After working out, it's common for members to hang out around the tables, drink coffee, and socialize with each other and the staff.

The cardio equipment were replaced and updated in 2014 and has been kept up nicely.
The staff are extremely friendly.

The child care available is actually structured a little. Big kids separate from little ones and there is consistency with staff members so they learn the kids names and temperaments.

The only negative I can think of is I wish there was more floor space for equipment free workouts. It's difficult to find a space to do push-ups, work abs, or stretch out without being in the way for someone.

Great size track and pool! Gym and classes are ok. Daycare service is ok ( workers are as small as the children). Too many young workers not professional enough.

Been a member since 2003... Great Y overall. If you are a lap swimmer though you are always placed at the bottom of the list when it comes to being a priority in the pool. Even when it is designated lap swim time, more often than not, the lanes are tied up with private lessons. Other than that it is a great YMCA.

We had been paying 70 dollars a month for my son and wife to use the pool every couple of weeks. At my wife's encouragement, I went to go check it out and decide if I might want to be added to her membership. An employee stopped me, called me by my son's name, and requested I pose for a picture. When I explained who I was, I was told that I'd have to pay another ten dollars a month to use the facility. Being put on the spot in public made me lean towards cancelling the membership altogether.
