OYM is one of those places that has truly transformed my life - I am stronger and healthier than I ever thought I could become.
I've been attending classes for over ten years, as well as doing some personal training for the last two. It's a supportive, welcoming environment with encouraging, knowledgeable trainers who will help you achieve things you didn't even know you could do. The other gym-goers are also across the board great people who create a friendly, fun environment. I honestly look forward to going every time, and the results speak for themselves.

One of the best gyms in the west loop! The trainers are all extremely knowledgeable but the classes are made for anyone of any skill level to participate in. I always leave sweating and in a good mood! OYM has created such a great, friendly, inspiring community. You won’t be disappointed checking out a class.

I have been working out at On Your Mark for 12 years and they will never get rid of me! OYM is an incredible community of trainers and members. From personal training, to small classes, to their new expansion upstairs with additional offerings like yoga, pilates, massage, etc, you can't go wrong. I’ve been training with Emily for about 4 years now and my experience has been outstanding. I appreciate the personal attention and encouragement towards my health goals. The gym is always clean and everyone is incredibly friendly. I feel comfortable and relaxed there and always motivated to keep pushing forward. Would definitely recommend!

I’ve been training with Emily at On Your Mark and couldn’t recommend her or the gym more highly. Emily is incredibly smart, patient, and encouraging. She meets you where you are, and I’ve felt totally supported getting back into strength training. The space itself is welcoming and so well-equipped, and the entire team is knowledgeable and accessible. Their group classes are also top-notch, both challenging and fun, something for everyone. Truly an amazing gym and community!

I discovered OYM two years ago. The first thing that came to mind was "this is the way a gym should be". It's unpretentious, the trainers are the best; they take time to understand your goals, and check your form to avoid injury. The classes are challenging, but fun. I'm thrilled now that OYM has expanded to include pilates, yoga, mobility ('cause who can't benefit from that?). I wouldn't want to go anywhere else!

I have been working out at On Your Mark for over 6 years. Before that time, my exercise routine was not consistent (and mostly non existent:)). I needed to find a welcoming gym with motivating trainers. I found a great gym family and set of trainers with On Your Mark who have changed my perspective on health and exercise. I am excited they now have Pilates and Yoga to round out my weekly routine. Lucky to have such a great gym in the neighborhood!

Whether you’re looking for a drop-in class or a place to complete your fitness journey, OYM is a place to check out. The trainers are very knowledgeable and will accommodate all fitness levels and injuries to make your workout the best. Classes include a variety of interests from yoga/mobility to strength training and endurance running and cycling to meet your needs. There’s also in-house physical therapy to enhance your overall fitness/health needs. I come to OYM for all these reasons, but also because I love the culture and have really forged good friendships with the staff and members. Come check out OYM!

I’ve been coming to OYM for a while now, and it’s still one of my favorite places to move, grow, and challenge myself. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and always bring such great energy to every class.
As OYM continues to grow—adding regular yoga, Pilates, stretch, mobility, the sauna/cold room, massage, and more—it’s become so much more than just a workout space. It’s a place to recharge, connect, and feel part of a truly welcoming and motivating community. I’m so grateful to have it close by.
And as a bonus, you just might catch the resident dogs, Bama and Herman, who are always happy to provide pre-, post-, or mid-workout cuddles!
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a space that’s both grounding and energizing.

Absolutely love On Your Mark Training and Coaching! This gym is hands down one of the best in the city. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by an incredibly warm and welcoming community — both from the coaches and fellow members. There’s a real sense of support and motivation that you just don’t find everywhere.
The trainers and coaches here are exceptional — knowledgeable, approachable, and truly committed to helping you meet your goals. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned athlete, they know how to push you just enough while keeping the workouts fun, safe, and effective. Their ability to tailor sessions based on individual needs is truly impressive, and their personalities make every class something to look forward to.
One of the biggest perks is the wide variety of classes offered throughout the day. No matter your schedule, there’s always a class you can make — early morning, mid-day, evenings, and weekends. They really make it easy to stay consistent.

I discovered this hidden gem of a gym in 2011 after reading about it in a DailyCandy. I can honestly say that in less than 3 months, On Your Mark Training and Coaching literally changed my life! I was running on my own and training on and off at a big box gym, but because I wasn’t doing any of it the right way, I never saw results. The trainers at On Your Mark put me through some of the toughest workouts ever, but because you’re in small group classes, you get such personal attention and form corrections, that in just 45-minutes a day you see amazing results. My favorite trainer and coach, co-owner Annette Fiscelli, has an amazing passion for her work, and her support and encouragement gave me the confidence that it’s never too late to become an athlete…not to mention how strong I felt and how good that made me feel about my body. These trainers and the amazing people I’ve met in the small group classes have become close friends and now going to On Your Mark is one of the best parts of my day. And after years of fun runs, with Annette’s coaching, I completed my first triathlon and am totally hooked! The On Your Mark gyms in Bucktown and West Loop are so much more than gyms, and I can’t recommend this team more highly if you’re looking to improve your quality of life, develop your passion for athletics, or just flat out feel great about your body!

Warning: If you are coming to a class via public transit on a night there is a Blackhawks or Bulls game - you're gonna need extra time.
This is actually a pretty convenient place to get to from the Loop and is one of my go-tos for an after work workout.
Same charm and aesthetic as the Damen location in Bucktown. They have a lot of supplies available at this location as well - protein, bars, etc. so be sure to stock up.
