Horrible experience. I was interested in checking out the free class to see if it was a good fit for my health goals. I tried signing up online but it was asking for my credit card info so I stopped trying to make an appointment. However, shortly after I guess they still received my number and called me so I was able to sign up for the class. The day before the scheduled free class I got a call to get at the studio at 6:15 early to be set up with HR monitor and the class would start at 6:30am. I was excited. I got their early around 5:55am and waiting until right before 6:15 to go in because it looked like the class beforehand was still finishing up through the windows. I get in and they basically tell me I arrived late and that they won't let me do the class. I said I came exactly when the girl on the phone told me to come. They claimed that no she told me to come at 6. I literally asked her like 3 times on the phone to confirm the correct time. The staff was rude and basically made me look like an idiot in front of everyone when it was their mistake. Then they called me again the day after not realizing I was that person asking me to reschedule and I said no thank you I dont want your services. I feel like I had a horrible experience. No apology just the staff member continuing to blame me. This place is awful. I hope no one else has to deal with this.

I’ve been an Orangetheory member quite literally all over the country over the years, and after a year at this location, I can honestly say it’s one of the very absolute best (tied only with the one in Columbia, MO!). I’m so truly sad to be moving away, because the staff and atmosphere here are truly unmatched.
The front desk team is amazing; they learn your name right away and always make you feel welcome. But the instructors are the absolute best part: Marché is incredibly kind and motivating without being pushy, Danny pushes you to improve while keeping things light with his humor, and Terence is the perfect blend of both with the balance of encouragement and challenge.
I truly appreciate that the weekday classes almost always have space, which works perfectly for my unpredictable schedule. This studio makes it easy to show up and give your best every time. I’ll miss this team so much and can’t recommend this location enough!

I took an Orangetheory class today at Kildeer. Coach Melissa was the coach and she was AWESOME!! The best coach and class I have ever had at Orangetheory. She has so much energy and her play list is so motivating. I wish she was at our location more often. There should be more coaches like Melissa. Although coach Danny is great too!!!
Becky the manager is another great person at Orangetheory. She’s very helpful to everyone. It’s a great studio!!

I have been here three times now. Good way to learn new training methods, and it does not allow you ignore cardio like most people do in the gym. Also, the social aspect of working out with others makes for a good community atmosphere. Splat points is a good way to track progress. Becky was really helpful.

OTF rocks! Coaches will walk you through the day's training. Follow along and self pace to what your body can do. Keep on going and you will see improvement. Lots of time to choose as early as 5am and as late as 7pm. Just go. Your body will thank you.

I’ve be coming here for a little over a year and love it. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. The coaches are amazing and are always there for any questions or concerns you have during the workout. This has not only been great for my physical health but my mental health as well. I love working out at orange theory fitness but had a call with Jamie and was greeted so rudely and so unprofessional. I am a fitness instructor and teach at different boutique studios and it doesn't take much effort to show positivity and kindness... literally part of our job. Wont waste my time here, would much rather head over to vernon hills or take a longer trip to avoid this person

Went to this studio for the first time and took Frankis class. Probably the worst instructor I’ve even taken from been for a couple dozen studios. She didn’t leave the corner in the room, no motivational messages, only demoed one exercise, did not explain the complication exercise, did not correct anyone’s form. She basically just stood there, could’ve done it without a coach. she only spoke like a robot. I’m not sure if it’s a reflection of the studio, training or maybe it was her first class, not sure. But I definitely would not be going to this studio or instructor.

Coaches: 5 Stars
Management: 3 Stars
Let me start by saying the coaches are AMAZING! I started coming here in March 2021 & was new to Orangetheory. I loved it & decided this was my long-term workout plan. The coaches are so welcoming & encouraging.
When I signed up for a membership I asked about the class cancellation policy because my schedule is very busy with full-time work & a full-time masters program. They said “as long as you call we won’t charge you the late cancellation fee.” I have demanding clients at both work & my internship, unfortunately sometimes my schedule changes last minute. I was going between 3-5 times a week & often did the 5am class. On a couple occasions I needed to cancel & it was fine, on another occasion I overslept & they charged me which was totally fine, that was on me! I get that if you miss/skip a class they’ll charge you & I’m fine with that, but sometimes I had critical client demands & they weren’t accommodating. I decided to cancel my membership when I called to late cancel & they said they’re “really cracking down on late cancellations.” I couldn’t get to the 4:30pm class because I had a client who needed to reschedule a call for the same time as the class. It started to feel stressful instead of something enjoyable, so I canceled my membership.
The manager called me and she was nice, but wasn’t overly interested in talking. It was that & one of the other front desk staff who just kind of made it a place I didn’t want to be anymore which really sucked because the coaches are the best!
I found the situation really frustrating because I’m not a member who just cancels all the time. I really enjoy the workouts. I really wish my schedule was less crazy & it will be come December! You can go to any Orangetheory with a membership. I canceled at this location because I don’t feel they ran things the way they initially told me. I’m going to start a new membership at a different location & while I know it’s somewhat all the same, I just didn’t want to benefit this specific location anymore. I’m not going to leave Orangetheory because of poor management, but I won’t be going back to this location & I don’t recommend it for anyone who might need a little flexibility.

I planned to go to Kildeer to see if I liked the facilities because I usually go to Mt. Prospect but my friend wanted to join and she lives in Lake Zurich, so Kildeer was in the middle. When I got there (11 min early) to sign the paperwork, the man at the front basically kicked me out in front of 6 people saying I couldn’t come in until 5 minutes before class. Not sure why it mattered since there were 6 people in a 10 by 10 space anyway...so, when I came back in, he apologized for “kicking me out”; I didn’t even care except for the fact that he embarrassed me in front of people. So, normally when you get there early, you start on treadmill, that is my preference, but they started me on the floor. I asked to be switched by apparently they’re the only OT that doesn’t follow that rule, they “pre-assign” as they said. Okay; I started on the floor, no problem. I had to ask twice for my name to show up on the TV (I only waited 3 min but I wanted to be sure it was on for the class). Both times I asked they asked, “is your monitor turned on?” Ummmmm, really? Don’t you think that’s the first thing I checked? Ha!
The other things I didn’t like:
- the wipes were barely wet
- if you’re on the floor, you can’t see your stats
- if you’re on rower or treads you can’t see the stretches so I left before stretching. I was like scared to move thinking I’d be reprimanded like I was in my next point.
- they make you go around in an orderly fashioned; I waited for rowers to leave so I can get on from tread but maybe I didn’t wait for the coach to “allow us” to move? Because she said “remember to wait until everyone is away from rowers before moving over...” clearly she was talking to me in front of the whole class
Don’t worry, I won’t be back! Of course will advise my friend not to join this location. Thanks for nada and enjoy your Saturday!

As someone who has been a member of this studio since November of 2018 and has visited other studios (including out of state, I would love to add some feedback.
The great: The staff and coaches here are absolutely outstanding. The feedback they provide is meaningful, done so in an effective way, and they are all so personable when you walk in. The facility is also very clean, including all the equipment.
The good: I have had to put my account on freeze and the desk staff really helped me. They were very accommodating as I had to take a 3 month break. If they wouldn't have helped me out, I probably would have dropped my membership. I have also had to move classes and cancel. They have been able to help me out, but I also understand they are under pressure from corporate to keep things consistent. I respect and understand that.
Areas for growth (because "the bad" is just so negative): My only complaint is with corporate, which is why I am not taking a star away from this lovely studio. I absolutely despise that corporate is going studio by studio and asking them to remove the things that provide individuality. I LOVED the calendar in this studio and all of the awesome things written around on the walls. With the changes and being asked to take everything down, it has become cookie cutter. Instead of lowering the bar, corporate should use studios that are killing it as a new standard and have others step up and figure it out. Rant over.
I would recommend this studio to anyone looking for a good workout and to meet good people.

They take the time to check on your progress and are fully invested in your success! If you are looking to try it out try Coach Alex or Coach Melissa’s classes they have a great energy when they coach and the 60 minutes fly by! Also, the staff and studio itself is pretty awesome trust me after only a few classes everyone starts to learn your name and they always greet you when you come in. This location has the absolute worst customer service I have ever seen. I am extremely disappointed by the staff members and the manager that owns this locations as well as the Riverwoods location. They make it sound so glorious, you can go to any gym to workout nationwide, but you can only handle business at the studio in which you signed up at. I could walk into any other location and work out, but I can't place my membership on hold, or do anything over the phone. I was out of the country and they said they couldn't do anything for me, which is ridiculous considering how much they charge for a monthly membership. After being fed up with how they conduct business, I went into the Kildeer location, (well before the billing cycle might I add) to cancel and the lady at the front desk assured me that I would not get charge again, yet, I have just been charged once again by a gym that I haven't even attended in over two months. Don't expect a phone call from the manager, because you won't receive one. If I could post negative "stars" I would, but since one star is the only option, I guess I will have to leave it at that. For a company that claims to be so great, you really don't put people first. I could walk into to any other "chain" business if need be and take care of account matters, all they have to do is transfer files, but I guess that isn't an option with OrangeTheory. Really such a shame.

Been coming here since they opened in Nov 2017 and absolutely love it! The coaches are all very friendly, helpful and if you're open to it, willing to give advice. The people are for the most part very friendly, especially the 5am-ers :). For many years I paid for a gym membership that I rarely used. I'll be honest OTF is way more expensive than a membership at an XSport or LA Fitness, or others of the like, but when you come here you get a full body workout. The coaches keep you motivated, the workouts change daily, they have challenges that encourage you to push yourself.
