This is the only gym that I've been able to commit to and show up. I've donated thousands in membership fees to other gyms and rarely went, but Performance Fitness makes you want to show up and helps you get stronger. I've made some great friends here and have been a member for over 7 years.

If you want to challenge yourself to work hard for great results, this is the place to train. The workouts are always changing and challenging. They are never boring. PF is so much more than just a gym. We are all family. You don’t go in, say polite howdies, work out, then leave. You go in, chat with your friends, catch up on your lives, work out together, then announce with a smile “see you next time!” When I saw the Facebook ad about PF 2 years ago, I made the call and haven’t been more happy about it. I have been going to Performance Fitness for 7 years. When I joined I needed to lose about 30 pounds and my cholesterol was high. After 3 months I lost 30 pounds and my cholesterol was and still is perfect. Now it is 3 years later and I have kept the weight off and feel better and stronger. I really like going here on a regular basis - at least 3 times per week. The trainers are like having an accountability partner to keep me in check. The exercise program is varied to consistently focus on different areas and to keep the program interesting.

This is an excellent place to get into shape, I'd say especially for older people. I'm in my mid-50s and have some physical issues, and the trainers are always willing and able to modify the workout to something that I can do that gets the job done while minimizing joint pain. The atmosphere is very relaxed and encouraging; everyone there is very pleasant and focused on what they're doing, and certainly no "gym bro" business going on. There is a monthly checkin where they utilize technology to give you a progress report using a variety of metrics. Overall, they excel at accountability without judgement. Highly recommend.

We’ve been going to this gym for about 4 months now. I can’t say enough great things about the trainers, Tanner and Roger! Whatever your goals are and whatever accommodations you need, they will help you any way they can. The classes are different every day with a new set of exercises. You’ll never be bored. You get personalized attention every time and never feel like you’re on your own. I have been going to PF gym for a little over a year now. This time last year I went to visit my son for Parents Weekend in Ohio. The shorts I wore were a little snug during that visit. This past weekend I went to Ohio for Parents weekend again, wore the same shorts, and they actually looked bad because they were TOO BIG!!!! It was such a confidence booster and the perfect incentive to keep working out. The trainers are always friendly and helpful with teaching correct form, pushing me when they know I need to be pushed, but also modifying the workouts to meet limitations placed on me by my old joints. I love the small group exercise setting using free weights. It allows for the flexibility and personal attention you get with a personal trainer at an affordable cost, and makes me feel more productive than using just machines like at other gyms. I look forward to my workouts and always feel so much better after every class. Thank you to the staff at Performance Fitness for making it all happen!

Performance Fitness is such a fantastic gym! I have been a member for about 5 months and have already noticed so many positive changes in my strength, stamina, and overall health. They are able to modify exercises at any time to make workouts accessible for anyone so that you are always able to reach your goals one day at a time. The trainers are always ready to joke around and do what they can to make your workout fun, while still providing a lot of knowledge and support. Going to Performance Fitness and training with Tanner and Roger helped my husband improve long-standing physical conditions, and he is over 70 years old! After about 6 months working out at Performance Fitness twice a week, he had to go for his regular cardiology check up due to slight arrhythmia. His cardiologist was amazed as he rarely sees the heart of someone that age IMPROVE. Recently he had to have surgery and afterwards the doctor shared how remarkably healthy his blood flow is—for someone his age. The only changes he has made to his lifestyle in the last year has been working out regularly with Tanner and Roger at Performance Fitness. Thank you, Roger and Tanner.

I’m happy to find a gym where the trainers are knowledgeable, and willing to work with me on my goals (weight lifting wise, mobility wise, and nutrition wise). Best gym around. You won’t get lost In the mix like you would in a big box gym. Roger and Tanner know everyone by name.
Give them your goals- whether it be weight loss, diet, mental health; they will do anything to help you achieve them. Each workout is fit to your personal needs, and small group workouts lend themselves to help you achieve the goals stated above. My favorite part of the gym is truly the small groups that makes a person feel like you have your own personal trainer too. GIVE THEM A TRY ASAP! You won’t regret it!

Performance Fitness is the perfect fit for people like me who walk into a gym with crazy equipment and have no idea what to do and it stresses me out but here they let me shut my brain off and walk me threw all the workouts and if I can’t physically do one they are right there setting me up with one that I can do. The staff and other gym members are all really welcoming and nice. I can’t believe I’m now one of those people who can’t wait to go to the gym and I have to admit it’s all because of Performance Fitness😁

It is like having a personal trainer and working out with others at the same time. A small group doing a similar workout, tailored to your ability, strengths and weaknesses.
I was having issues with mobility, flexibility and getting old and stiff too soon. I started with a personal trainer but that got expensive. I heard about Performance Fitness and decided to give it a try. I have continued to see improvement and weight-loss without feeling any decrease in my workout. Roger and Tanner are great and would highly recommend them.

I absolutely love it here! I have been coming to this gym for about a year and a half now. When I joined I wasn’t very motivated or confident in starting a new healthier lifestyle but the trainers keep you accountable. They make sure you get everything you need to succeed. Tanner is a great trainer! He is knowledgeable and can easily customize the workout to make sure you get the most out of your workout if you have any type of restriction. Roger is easy to talk to and relatable. He’s done an amazing job making sure the gym feels like a safe space during the pandemic. Everyone who comes is very friendly and encouraging! I really love Performance Fitness! I never thought I’d be lifting the weights that I am today. Performance Fitness is the first work out facility that I have ever been to that keeps me coming back. The team training and group support keeps me motivated and feeling like we're all in this together. I had joined other gyms but either didn't know how to use the equipment or felt self conscious, or couldn't use the equipment at the time I was there so it was frustrating and I'd stop going. But I joined PF in September at the recommendation from family and friends who go there and for
5 months now I am still driving 30 minutes to Edwardsville to be at the 6 am class for team training 3- 4 times a week. I love the flexibility and the fun. There are always little challenges to add a little competition to the regular work outs. It's definitely work but the results show in how great I feel and how much stronger I am.

I love my gym! It truly is a gym family. I have made so many friends here. There are guys and gals of all ages in both Team Training and Small Group and we all encourage each other.
Our trainers are great. Because they know us all so well they know just how to motivate each of us individually. They push us to get a good work out but we still have fun.
Our workouts are always changing. I love that I don't have to think about what to do to get a balanced workout. We just show up! We have different challenges throughout the year. This month we are playing Bingo with a specially designed Performance Fitness bingo card. Each square is filled with an activity that will help us become that healthier person we want to be. It's amazing how hard we will work for a Bingo stamp!😀

Roger is simply the best Personal Trainer/Bootcamp in the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Area. I have seen the 'results' of many personal trainers in my health center on a regular basis. I joined the 21 day challenge and it is almost finished and I have had great results. I have been going to the group sessions 2-3 nights a week and it has really paid off. I signed up for the 21-Day challenge. Just over a week in I signed the papers to give Roger more of my money because it's worth every dollar. It's become an integral part of my morning routine and I look forward to 6AM every day. I would never be able to challenge myself like Roger & the crew at PF can. I get bored very easily with working out, so over a year ago when I was looking for a new place to start working out (trying to do videos at home was not cutting it) I seen a groupon for performance fitness bootcamp in Edwardsville and thought I would give it a try. Im not going lie I was a little nervous about going to workout in front of people I did not know. Once I got there I realized there was nothing to be nervous about. Roger Ernst is an amazing trainer who makes you feel comfortable with the workout and always makes you want to push yourself harder. I have been attending performance fitness bootcamp for over a year now and still have not found myself getting bored with the workouts. Roger is always coming up with challenging new workouts to avoid the boring repetitious workouts!! I would say I am in better shape now than prior to having my first child 2 1/2 years ago!!
