I've been working with Coach Brooks James for weeks now in private lessons. I've gone from no previous boxing experience to being able to show up with confidence. My skills are improving weekly, and Coach Brooks does an incredible job! I highly recommend the private lessons with him for anyone looking for an attentive, focused, and effective boxing coach. The youth boxing program at PSE is fantastic. One apprehension I had before beginning the program is that it would be too competitive or high-pressure. No such worries here. Coach Brooks is unfailingly positive and supportive while still doing an excellent job teaching and motivating the students. My daughter loves training here and it has legitimately built her confidence.

We are so grateful to have found PSE!! We were struggling to find an activity our son would love. After a few sessions we knew our son was hooked. I came to PSE with very little experience in combat sports, feeling very nervous coming to the gym for the first time Coach Brooks, and Coach Ramy made me feel welcomed and comfortable at the gym. I met Coach Ramy through another gym in Chicago, I was a beginner with zero striking experience. Ramy is very patient and thorough explaining movement and drills. Even with a bigger group he takes time to individually work and design a program just for you. I’ve trained at bigger gyms where it can be overwhelming and it’s feels like you have to figure it out yourself. I live in Indiana and the drive over to Naperville/Lisle is definitely worth it!
