Dr. Adam Weiss has been helping me recover from Lumber Discectomy surgery! He has provided private Pilates lessons for me with introducing me to Pilates as I have never done. I am gaining strength after two weeks of consistency with him and advancing quicker than I ever thought. I wanted a place that was small and very intimate to focus strictly on form and adapt to what my needs were post surgery. I highly recommend him for recovery or trying to get back into shape without injuring yourself. I will continue to utilize him and the facility as I LOVE it!

I needed a new chiropractor and I found Doc Adam at PilateSmart. It turned out to be a double bonus! Chiropractic care (if you need it) and Pilates classes to strengthen to keep everything in place. I am new to Pilates and found the environment pleasant and unintimidating. The workouts are challenging and fun. He incorporates floor work and light weights for a full body workout. Doc Adam’s welcoming personality in addition to his years of experience fosters trust and confidence in his classes and treatment. After I tried the I introductory offer I was hooked! Come join us. All over body workout! These classes include the pilates reformer -- but, Doc Adam has you working out your arms and core with weights and crunches -- it's a great work out and makes you feel parts of your body that kind of been hiding for awhile! Casual, welcoming atmosphere. One of my main pluses is that there is no judgment - don't have to worry about my workout 'outfit' - make-up or hair -- just at class to do good for yourself. Bonus that the location is in the middle of everything -- so I can get shopping and errands done after class. Try it, you will be surprised how you feel!

I really enjoy Pilates with Doc Adam. I’m not very active but this class really helps me build up more core strength and energy. I definitely notice a difference when I miss a class.

I have been attending Dr. Weiss’ classes for almost 20 years! I love the pilates class so much that when I moved to Colorado, I purchased a reformer and now take his classes via ZOOM. His pilates class targets every muscle and helps me feel strong, steady and healthy! He also is an amazing chiropractor and has helped me through many physical issues (neck and back). I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Weiss as a pilates instructor and chiropractor! Absolutely the best!!!

I had started Dr Adam Weiss Pilates Smart workout classes almost a year before COVID. This was my first experience with Pilates, and I have to say I really missed being able to attend classes during COVID. I am now back to the in person classes and love it. Dr Adam Weiss cares for all members no matter how long you have been a member. I love the reformer board and all of the different routines, it has increased my strength and flexibility. The workout on the Mat really adds variation to the Core workout. I would recommend this studio and workout to anyone.

Dr. Adam's practice is my default "go to" place for all back and joints related issues. He is one of the best therapists I've every dealt with: very attentive and knowledgeable. His books on stretching help me a lot with avoiding workout injuries. Highly recommend!

I’ve been attending Pilates classes for over 3 years with Dr. Weiss at PilateSmart. He has a welcoming environment and has helped me build my core strength, gain flexibility and overall toning through his enjoyable workouts. I’ve also suffered from lower back pain and his chiropractic services have helped me live a pain free life. Dr. Weiss is an expert at working with each person’s needs and body movements and truly cares about every person who walks in his studio. This is by far one of the best workouts I have ever had with the best results! Dr. Weiss makes the class fun and always changes up the workouts so you get a different variety week by week. I have always had lower back problems and this class really helped strengthen my core to the point that I barely had any problems at all. I have also used Dr. Weiss as a Chiropractor because I have felt so comfortable with him by taking his classes. I highly recommend Pilatesmart- very professional and a very good environment for an amazing workout!!

This is an edit to my previous review from several months ago. I still stand by my previous post, of enjoying the workouts, and the benefits I have experienced. This is more towards the upkeep of the practice, and my concerns not being addressed and the customer service.
I had pointed out to Dr. Weiss several months ago that his studio was not clean. There were layers of dust and hair all over the place. There was some cleaning done after, but not maintained regularly.
After Covid, one would expect that the level of cleaning would increase exponentially. Since the studio has re-opened two months ago, it looks like it has not been cleaned even once. I tracked the same dead bugs and cobwebs in the corners, and layers of human hair and dog hair through out. To the point that it was becoming unbearable. He also started to bring in his own dog, which would bark through out the class, shed dog hair all over the place, and at one time also urinated in the studio.
I brought up my concerns to Dr Weiss yet again, reminding him that the studio had to be kept clean, especially during Covid. Wiping down the reformer machines is simply not sufficient.
His response to me was "Thank you for sharing your insights, reformers are cleaned twice a day - I am sorry you are not comfortable in this current environment - we will miss you in class". Basically telling me to get lost....?
Dr Weiss as a sole proprietor and a small business owner, would rather lose a 2 year paying client AND Chiropractor patient, than purchase a vacuum? Fantastic business acumen and great customer service.
I have since then not returned to Pilates Smart and signed up with Move Studio Pilates in Palatine, who are charging me the same rates, but maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of their studio.

I suffered from a number of aches and pains over the years. Dr. Weiss is always there to pick up where we left off. I feel so much better exercising at PilateSmart - the combination of mat, machine and hand weighs really helps me stay in shape. Dr. Weiss’ comprehension of body mechanics and caring nature has keep me moving for over 15 years.

I started with Doc Adam's classes approximately 20 years ago. The variety of exercises has helped me to maintain my flexibility and strength throughout those years, especially after having both hips replaced. Class is conducted under Doc Adam's watchful eye as to proper form, and individual attention is given when needed. He's willing to answer any questions and always sets a casual, friendly atmosphere.

I have been doing PilateSmart for more than 10 years. Dr Weiss makes the classes enjoyable. It's a great group of people encouraging one another while working out. I have been to other studios and fitness centers with trainers- none of them caught what Dr Weiss see’s with the proper positions, I feel my muscles work and I am not stressing my joints. I also see Dr. Weiss for Chiropractic care. He has has helped me immensely over the years. The combination of pilates and chiropractic care really keeps me going.

My husband and I have been taking classes with Doc Adam for over a year now. We have both experienced increased flexibility, core strength and reduced aches and pains. Each class is slightly different, and you are working on muscles you didn't even know existed.
My massage therapist has commented on my "visible back muscles".
Classes are super fun. I actually miss going to class when I am out of town.

Fabulous work out. Each class is a different variation of exercises. Using both reformer and mat for abs makes the classes go by quickly. This has toned my body. I have seen mass improvement w joint pains as well. Instructor is very knowledgeable w the body and muscles. This studio is NOT A CHAIN. It is a private studio which makes you feel less of a “number” in your small class sizes. I would live here 5x a week if I could!!!

Awesome place!! After 6 months of Pilates I feel so much stronger than when I started. ALSO, Doc Adam has helped me with a persistent neck issue through gentle chiropractic care, conveniently scheduled right before class. I have been coming to PilateSmart for years. Dr.Adam Weiss has put together program that strengthen different muscles group and keeps you in shape. The exercises Dr. Adam Weiss developed are easy on joints, help with posture and are great combination of mat and reformer Pilates. You can control the weight you utilize and the speed of your movements. The program is Smart.

I have known DR WEISS for 20 years first as my chiropractor and over the past year as my Pilates instructor. he runs a great program I have lost 20 pounds and become very fit as a result , its an enjoyable class and I will continue as a member in the future.
