Overall the gym / massage accommodations are okay. I've been tanning here for over a year and the beds have never gotten deep clean under the glass. I have requested it multiple times it does not get done lately. I have been having to spend the whole two minutes before the tanning session to clean the bed because hair and other debris is left on it from other people and probably from the fans that don't get cleaned either. It needs dusted daily and they do not do that. There is much dirt and hair in the cracks of the bed, I have been looking into other tanning locations because of this I did notify staff today 11/20 am but I am not confident it will get taken care of. It is often not vacuumed either which could cause hair to fly around during the tanning session very unsanitary not sure if the city should be contacted because of this. I would also like to note I did not notify a female staff member a few weeks ago that the bed was not clean enough and she tried to tell me she cleaned it. Even if she wiped it down, it was not done properly so staff probably needs to be retrained.

You pay the prices for a 24 hour gym and this gym is not even open before 7am. Also not open pass 7pm on Saturdays.

The club is always clean and it's usually easy enough to get every machine I want on each visit. The staff are always very friendly and helpful too. My only complaint is the showers. The design of the rainfall shower head means the water is cold by the time it falls to me and the pressure is weak. It's always cold in the shower area too and I can't dry off fast enough before literally starting to shiver. The monthly price is right too!

I never in a million years thought that I would like to go to a gym. Boy, was I wrong. This place is so clean and the staff is becoming like family to me. Marisa is the absolute best. She needs a raise, although I have no idea what she makes. If she is gone, there is a whole different vibe. I also enjoy Kyle and Nick. If Kristain were to come back, that would be icing on the cake. And that's why I go to Planet Fitness. Because I REALLY like cake. Great job everyone!

Review written 9/22/2025. They have the hydromassage beds for black card spa members. Flat and reclining; your choice.
Note you need to press the button on the wall to start it once you have the front desk assign your machine.
I’ve never seen this button at any other planet fitness locations so just a heads up.
(All other planet fitness locations I’ve been to, the massage starts when you lay down on the bed)
This location treadmills have the built in fan on top

I like that this location has all the equipment I look to use from the Total Body Enhancement machine to the Hydromassage Beds. The gym has a good layout. The locker room makes sense. There was repeated hot water issues though. The water in Bloomington has a smell to it and the gym wasn't able to stop it.

Been coming here consistently over a year and a half alternating from both morning and night shifts. But have been coming to this location since 2022. This place has always been improving, whether it be machinery, staff, or cleanliness.
I'm always greeted (sometimes by name) before even checking in (shout out Xavier and Billi). The Staff has always kind and friendly throughout the years.
A couple of months ago they've upgraded some of their machines, and expanded them so if you haven't been here in awhile, it's worth scoping out.
This location has its busy times and with that the inconveniences of not having access to the machine's you want, showers being occupied, or sometimes the odors of others. But they generally do a great job keeping gym cleaner sprays/ paper towels stocked so you can wipe down machine's, even during busy times.
You'll see a lot of the same faces here at the same time once you start going consistently, some aren't afraid to have small talk, give compliments, or even give tips or guidance on a machine.
My only complaint was when I was on night shift, this place wasn't open late night on weekends, but I understand that will only apply to such few people.
Overall I don't see a need to seek another gym, as this place fits my budget and I have sort of figured out the busy times and work around them or work with it.

I absolutely love my experience at Planet Fitness! I've been a member for 2 years, and this location feels like my second home. The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to help with a smile, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The cleanliness of the gym is top-notch, which makes every workout much more enjoyable.
I’m also a huge fan of the new machines they’ve added—they're modern, effective, and really enhance my workout routine. Billy Jo has excellent service and provided me this link not knowing that I was going to praise her. She deserves recognition. The other thing that I asked her for was to turn down the music, esp on the back speaker. It is ENTIRELY TOO LOUD, and staff doesn't have the ability to adjust it. It is so loud that two of the patrons checking in had to ask staff to repeat themselves because they couldn't hear, and staff had to do the same for them. I have some hearing loss from military service and it's way too loud even for me. It is the second time that I have had to end my workout early because the volume is giving me a headache. Keep the music but please turn it down by half; loud music is fine in your own car or at a concert or club but not in the gym . I would like a response to it if possible. I will update to five stars when this is addressed, as it is excellent othery. Thank you

I got a gym membership at this planet fitness back in April of 25’ and this place absolutely provides! I always refer to my schedule and gym meter to dictate when I go and most of the time, there’s little to no wait time on machine usage. Highly recommend if you’re looking to get a good hour, hour and a half session on a daily basis.
