Going to Washington Square Planet Fitness since January of this year, the staff always with a smile on their faces, greeting when arriving and leaving. People working out and doing their business. Equipments are always clean and the bathroom is as well. I like the environment, balanced public.

I come here to workout. The staff are really friendly and always greet and say goodbye when I leave. I love the fact that they are always cleaning. I've been to different health clubs and I've never seen staff cleaning. With all the sweaty people and smells that helps tremendously. If you come at the right time you don't have any problems finding open machines. I try to come before 5pm. After 5pm is when a lot of people start coming and it's hard to get a treadmill or machine. Only problem I have is sometimes some machines have a out of order sign on them which definitely sucks if it's only one of that machine. All in all this is a great place to workout at.

Today August 23 around 8:30am the girl in front needs to find another job.
I asked her to please help me to buy water from the fridge since I've never used that fridge and she just turned away scrolling down on pictures on her phone I was standing looking at her without having the help I needed. She is the employee she is supposed to help. I had to ask her again to please help me and she did not want it to help me she never put her phone away owner needs to see the camera to know that he is paying her to be on the phone and not really helping customers

Hello i would like to see if i could get the name of the overnight employee i forgot to ask the young guy, but recently he hasn’t come in, in about a week or 2 but recently their was 2 of them but one of them hasnt been going and i would like to make a commendation on him to corporate, he was an awesome employee, i liked the way he used to maintain the gym clean and making his travel paths around the gym, also liked how he had an answer to every customers question, but over all liked the way he maintained the gym clean every night! We need more employees like him that love to maintain their shift clean

My main location I go to. The vibe is chill and never ran into any problems. My only thing is I’m a black card member & my first time there I wasn’t told about anything that comes with it (still haven’t been told) nor did I receive a free planet fitness t shirt that I read I was supposed to get for being a black card member. Customer Service SUCKS!!! I had a dilemma w/ my PF club in St. Louis but they FIXED it. Upon relocating to Chicago, I tried using this location as a BLACK CARD MEMBER and was met w/ cold and very rude service. The young man at the front desk refused my access after I'd been told that I would have access. I followed up w/ my previous location (in St. Louis) who informed me that the staff were wrong for doing that. No worries, I'm canceling my membership and will gladly take my money and influence elsewhere.

Told me that I cannot bring 2 kids (13 & 11). The 13yr old will work out with me and the 11yr old will sit at the tables in the front. Meanwhile I watch a man bring both of his children 5 days a week. Only the oldest scans into the gym and the youngest walks on by and the workers never stop him. They must know each other. Unfair. My first time at this location and it was a great experience. Went close to 11 am and not a lot of people and I welcome that.

The summer program for teenagers is awesome! I saw many kids when I went today. Hope you keep this program in the near future!

No Kids allowed. This is crazy, especially for single parents or parents in general. Horrible horrible. A decision like this affects an entire family and I can say it personally affected the dynamics in mine. I have the option of looking for alternatives but my issue here is that I shouldn't have to. How do you encourage people to come to the gym if they need to also pay for baby sitters?

Me and my friend just decided to check out the Planet Fitness. Upon exntrance Tania was very helpful after helping me set up my guest pass my friend and i walked around the gym and we decided to go to a different location , due to construction being done and the machines we needed were being used. As we were leaving we saw tania and her coworker looking at us and pointed at my friend and I, we had assumed we left something because we saw them pointing and staring we didnt think much of it but as we got into the car they were just staring out the window at us. we looked around and noticed nobody else was around us , so we went back because we didn’t know what was going on. We went inside and respectfully asked, “if there was an issue”, the coworker girl started to say “ I don’t know is there, you’re not the only person in the world” with the nastest attitude while holding her fist in her hands. if or there was an issue, the staff should’ve addressed us instead of staring at us while we got into our car. and if there wasn’t an issue, why did she give hostile answer as if she wanted to provoke something? Nonetheless, Tanya was very lovely thank you for all your help. Your coworker should learn some customer seevice tips from you.

HORRIBLE customer service and discriminatory practices by the staff at this location. Had an extremely unpleasant experience visiting this gym today. While this is Not my home gym my home gym is in Chicago and I have visited this location a hand full of times in the past 2 weeks. This evening after scanning in I was abruptly halted and denied entry into the club by a staff member who identified herself as "Zuly" due to the fact that I had a suitcase.... According to Zuly "suitcases aren't allowed in the gym. I meant to tell you that the last time I saw you." I repeatedly stated that my suitcase would be in the locker room with me and not on the gym floor and was then told that I cannot enter with a suitcase because it has to be able to fit inside the locker.... Why would my suitcase need to go inside a locker if I'm right beside it??? People aren't placing their water bottles in a locker every time they sit it down. I asked to see this policy in writing. I was then told by 'Zuly' that I signed a waiver that stated that they can make up whatever rules that they want to...... Good to know.... I asked if she could repeat that so I could record her statement. She quickly told me "you're not allowed to record us". .. Mind you this exchange is happening an there are a decent amount of patrons in this gym and they are witnessing her speaking to me in a very demeaning tone and watching this whole situation take place. Some of which are standing right behind the desk (which is temporarily relocated for construction) working out and some of which are hearing this as they are coming and going.... Needless to say it was an embarrassing situation, which I'm sure was partly the goal. Mission accomplished. So I say to her I will be back because I have a duffel bag in my car. I go out and come back in and then get stopped by 'Zuly' and told that I need to scan in again. I replied that I scanned my key card the 1st time that I came in. She said it didn't matter, that I have to scan my key card every time I walk in and out of the door... Ok.... So I scan my key card again.Then a 2nd rep who identified himself as Alonso turned the screen to me and said that I couldn't come in because I had passed the 10 visits limit... I have been a PF black card member since before 2019 and have NEVER been stopped at the desk let alone denied entry on this basis. Hell I have only visited my "home gym" a hand full of times after the 1st year... Alonso says "it's not personal", but it is because 1. That wasn't even the initial reason I was being denied entry and 2. It was after 9pm on the 31st day of the month. The month is over already, so what was the point in trying to use that as the reason to deny entry especially after I had already scanned my keytag 5 minutes prior without being let in.... So I say to 'Alonso' well at midnight it'll be a new month and that number resets so I should be able to come in right? He says that is correct.... So despite having been a PF black card member for over 5 years I was sent out to the parking lot to wait for 3 hours until midnight. Planet fitness definitely has an anti-discrimination policy which they apparently need to do a better job of coaching their workers on. Not sure whether it's because I'm black, queer, masc presenting or a combination of the lot that subjected me to this bullying behavior today, but I will be reaching out to the GM because the way i was treated should not be considered acceptable.

Poor customer service. Receptionist gives you a very hard time. They refuse to verify you with the photo you have taken upon signing up for membership. Myself and 2 other black patrons experienced this from non black staff. The other 2 patrons expressed it being a theme. I did reach out to management, to no resolve. He appeared to have the same mind set as the receptionist, but stated they should have been able to verify me, using my photo, they took, upon signing up (my initial ask of them, considering my phone was not charged, and I’m trying to comply). Receptionist threatened me with security, which whom I was happy to speak with however, they never came. In addition, the staff made snarky comments under their breath as I exited. Manager response was, this is their version , and threatened to cancel membership. Yes everyone knows you are supposed to scan in, but if your phone is dead etc. that is what pic is for. Very poor customer service. Historically customer is always right. You won’t get that from this manager, given the previous complaints below about management, reception(SOME NOT ALL), and their rudeness. The only thing I was looking for is for staff to be appropriately in-serviced on customer service, and the alt to phone, with ID or pic (PF has on file). Simple right, not according to management and his staff. I did report to BBB as well.

Tried asking the Manager a question about the gym & equipment & he literally stormed off without responding or saying absolutely anything. asked him face to face while making eye contact & he just completely ignored me! He’s always behave unprofessional in all my interactions with him.. never greets or says hello, or makes eye contact when crossing path.. so this time I decided to go to the front desk & ask for “corporate information” to address this matter. everyone including him! Refuse to give me this information! They told me to go online & search for it myself! I asked multiple times & again they all gave me the same answer & even one of them threaten to call the Cops! Just for me asking the question again.I’m sure there’s recording & everything & u can see that in no moment I was hostile in anyway.. I don’t believe that’s the way you treat a human or a paying active customer..And I’m sure u don’t want someone like that representing your company & brand(Matt is the employee) found information online for corporate and sent them an email.. also reached out via social media and will be following up very soon.. Unacceptable behavior by staff completely
