I am a 24 year old hispanic female and Ive been going to this location since 2023, i recently had an altercation that had a grown man screaming and threatening me in my face as well getting hands put on me by an older woman. Police was called and it was documented. Management handled this HORRIBLY. Aka Jordan Lanclos-Pannell, per the police i was the victim. But Jordan believes that just because the man didn't actually put his hands on me just verbally threatened me twice that he's allowed to keep his membership along with the lady who actually did put their hand me. All that was done was documentation on membership profiles on all three parties (including myself), even though i was the victim. This is not a safe place for hispanic women. The man is still allowed on the premises. Im very deeply hurt as this was my home gym and i literally go here everyday. I feel that just because I am hispanic that my safety is not taken seriously as the offenders as well as Jordan who are all white.

I’ve been going to this location for about 3 days, on my 4th day somebody broke into my LOCKED locker in the men’s locker room and stole my car keys from the locker and proceeded to steal my car while I was working out. I made a police report and everything that follows behind that , when I told the employee what happen, he just seem like he didn’t care at all. I was told only the managers can go through the camera which is ridiculous because if an employee car or personal items get stolen they won’t hesitate to rewind the camera that same day. So I have to wait a full 72 hours until the next manager comes in to even LOOK at the camera to determine who stole my car shit is ridiculous I will never go to planet fitness ever again 💯💯

They kept giving me the excuse that the "manager" wasn't in so they could not release the video footage (kind of sus) i then later found out my car wasn't the only one. Recently renovated over a long period of time it now has brighter lights. That's about it. Frequently the machines don't function properly and when you say something to stuff not says thank you and then doesn't do anything. I've had some things stolen from me at this location. If you ask serious questions about things that requires some deep thought, the replies we have new management which is a cop-out.

I like this gym a lot the people are very friendly staff is very friendly but be aware today 5-28-25 between the hour of 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. someone broke into my car and two more other cars. Now there seems to be a frequent thing that people's cars are being broken into in this parking lot they need better lighting especially along the fence of the alley where it seems like that's where the cars are most being broken into be aware that the assailants are driving in a black Dodge charger.

I've said this before and it stands true still to this day. This location has gotten better with time. Always clean and being cleaned. Alot of complaining about the remodeling, and I have to say it's a choice to come here or anywhere. Things take time and if you don't understand than that's a personal problem not a gyms or any establishment problem. All staff and remodeling crews are doing their best to make an experience better for members. The friendly staff has always been stellar and phenomenal on shifts. They know who to hire and they know who they need. This gym has everything you need to work out and get results. If you can get the work done here you are impatient and not knowledgeable in your fitness goals. Every gym in the nearest area do get crowded and that's unfortunate, but human behavior or crowds are an variable not controlled by the gym owners or staff.

This place needs to shut down for the time being they need to remodel . There’s no water fountain. No tvs . There’s construction workers trying to move around with heavy equipment while you’re working out. The machines are way too close for comfort. This location is small has it is so having partial of it closed for remodeling is making it worse! I tried giving this location another try after my brother got his license plate stolen. Today reminded me why I stay away. I will not be returning !

I’m extremely disappointed with this gym’s management and maintenance. The men’s locker room has been under renovation for months, which was already inconvenient, and once it was finally ready, they redirected all the women to use it while they began renovating the women's locker room! Now men are once again without locker room facilities. On top of that, the equipment is always broken, with little urgency to repair it.

To make matters worse, the stretching area, which was already small, is now even more cramped because they decided to put two vending machines right in the middle of it—talk about poor planning. There was a shooting that took place in their locker rooms and no members were notified about the incident to address safety and let their members know about the incident.
After I voiced my complaints, instead of addressing the issues, they contacted me saying they would cancel my membership because they felt I ‘wasn’t a good fit for their gym" after I wrote my review To add insult to injury, the general manager, Ivan, went as far as to forge my signature on a cancelation form saying that I had requested the cancellation. (Highly unethical and illegal). I reached out to the franchise customer support line and they basically did not do anything or give me any update on any of my concerns saying because its privately owned they couldnt do anything even with the forged signature. I can’t believe the level of dishonesty and illegal practices going on here. I would not recommend this gym to anyone looking for a well-maintained, professionally managed facility. Save your money and go to literally any other gym.
UPDATE: 11/23/2024 The franchise has still not reached back out to me regarding their employee illegally forging my signature and canceling me because of my review. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR MEMBERS. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GYMS ILLEGAL AND UNETHICAL PRACTICES.
Update 12/10/2024: planet fitness's franchise customer support has sided with their regional manager and stated "they believe the signature was not forged". I have reached out to the illinois office of attorney General fraud department to report the illegal practices this gym and its franchise has committed against me. Ivan continues to still work at the gym so be careful doing buisness with this gym. They will sign you up and screw you over if they had any chance. Especially with their unethical practices.
Update 1/4/2025: Franchise has given me an update that was unsatisfactory. They said they stand behind the gyms decision to cancel me because "the nature of my conversation with the GM". What are they talking about i have no idea. They seem to all be quiet and sweep everything under the rug to let time pass because they know they can get away with it. The GM Ivan forging my signature to cancel and then with the continues lies from this gym is outright wrong. I have never delt with a buisness that cares less about their members. What a shame. Trust me when I tell you if you are looking for a gym around the area which there is a few... this is not the gym to go to. Read all their recent reviews. All terrible and all things I've brought up in my previous review. Suprise, suprise when you don't listen to your members then cancel them for trying to improve the gym, then a general manager literally forging peoples signature on a legal document it doesn't suprise me all the recent negative reviews. Next steps... I'll be reaching out to the cicero department of health to address health and wellness related concerns as well. By the way... a friend of mine that uses that location says now their drinking fountain does not work. One thing after another. PF of Cicero is the biggest JOKE

Customer service is for the most part really good. The area where the equipment is is usually also well kept in regards of cleaning. However, the lockers area and particularly the showers are not being taken care of. The showers and their curtains look like they haven't been cleaned in years. Some look like vegetation is starting to grow there. I wish they paid a little more attention to this.

The staff is great. They’re friendly and attentive. The issues with this gym vary. There was a shooting about 2-3 weeks ago. I have yet to receive an email ensuring the safety of me, as a customer or their staff. The machines are outdated, and not enough smith machines. And, lastly, the AC is broken. It’s been so hot lately and it’s scorching in there.just imagine a gym with limited ventilation, a bunch of sweaty people and no AC! They need to fix this asap.

I’ve been a member of this specific PF since August 2013 and workout here regularly! I’m not one to complain but this facility is getting more and more out of control every year since they’ve allowed teenage kids to hang out here FREE all summer! The locker room is tagged in gang graffiti and the kids are openly hanging out Vaping and smoking weed in the LOCKER ROOMS… please get a handle on this I understand kids need somewhere to be productive however they need to be supervised as well.

Ok gym to go to but there are a few caviats to be aware of,
#1 alot of lockers have cut lock holder rings so they cant lock at all which can lead to easy theft. People always seem to leave their belongings in unlocked lockers too so be careful if you plan to leave your things without a proper lock.

#2 Some of the machines don’t work properly and haven’t been maintained in a while so be careful choosing which ones to use especially weight oriented ones.

#3 The water fountain/bottle refill station is just plain horrible, The water definitely seems to have some trace of lead in it and has a very odd taste so I don’t reccomend drinking from it and just bring your own water.

Overall it’s pretty dissapointing they haven’t fixed any of these issues since i’ve been going for almost a year now and with a price increase coming soon, I would’ve expected alot more from PF

My husband opened up a account with them. They took my husband's money from his prepaid debit card then canceled his account. He asked why because you need a bank account credit card. Then why did they take his money from his debit card. They told him he has restart a new account and pay over again. He never used they equipment ever not one time. Now they sent him to collections saying he owes 1,000 for breach of contract. Don't do business with them. Is this how you get rich by over charging people making them double pay for their contract with you. Worse place ever people don't do they jobs and make you pay for their mistakes. Get it together people it's TIME to get a lawyer involved.
