Made a stop in here as a veteran, wanted a guest pass to see the gym. Lady at the counter said that will be 20 dollars… i said absolutely not and turned around… planet fatness is not worth 20 dollars for a guest pass… please fix your policies! Like the rest of planets!

Was in club the other day and all the staff were so nice! I had some difficulty with working a machine, the staff members happily assisted me with the bicep curl machine and showed me how the Qr Codes & App Workouts worked! I love this place!!!

Every time I walk into Planet Fitness in Decatur, Alizjah is one of the first people to make the day feel easier. He’s always welcoming, upbeat, and ready to help with anything from explaining equipment to updating account info. You can tell he cares about the members and wants everyone to feel comfortable and confident while they’re here.
What really stands out is how attentive and approachable he is. If something needs to be cleaned, restocked, or checked on, he’s already on it before you even think to ask. Those small details make a huge difference in the overall experience.

I had a very disappointing experience with Planet Fitness in Decatur, Illinois. Despite calling multiple times over a week and a half, I received no callbacks as promised. When I finally did get in touch with the manager, they were rude and unprofessional, even hanging up on me. The misinformation about my refund was frustrating, and overall, the level of respect and customer service was extremely poor. The only positive interaction I had was with one kind employee, but the rest of the staff were not helpful at all. DO NOT GO TO PLANET FITNESS DECATUR, IL. there are so many better gyms to go to.

I encounter more incompetent staff than helpful ones. Three times I reserved the Enhancement room and went to the room, undressed, went into the chamber and it wouldn’t start because the staff member either forgot to start it or didn’t press the button properly. So I had to get dressed and go back out to the front and I ask if they could please start the chamber. Tonight I waited almost 30 minutes for the room and when I asked the staff if the room was ready, she replied like I was out of line and asked me to wait a minute. Why? Because she was waiting for two people just walking into the building and she was going to check them in. Meanwhile I’m standing around feeling disrespected. Black card membership does NOT have its privileges. Too many staff members on their cells not working or paying attention. They’re just there to collect a paycheck.
I’m happy to add that the manager immediately reached out and has spoken to staff about my experiences. I feel the staff has improved their service. I will continue to visit this location while in town for work.
