Excellent gym. Upfront pricing no hidden fees, no obligations like a ridiculous contract you have to call “my cousin Vinnie” to get out like other gyms. Super convenient and great pricing for what you get. The tanning is a nice benefit if you’re into that. The staff are very professional and accommodating. 5 stars.

Was not as impressed with this as others I have been to. Selection of drinks were very limited and absolutely no energy drinks. The people behind the desk seemed more interested in each other than making sure paper towels and such was stocked on the floor. Unfortunately it also has been made harder to pull trucks into so truck drivers can try to stay healthy

Nice gym.. Smaller than other Planet Fitness locations, but clean and still had everything necessary for me to get a great workout and hot shower. As a truck driver, the multiple locations around the country are an asset to my well-being.

It is really clean but the smith machines are messed up. And i accidentally dropped the weight on ACCIDENT one time and the guy at the front desk threatened to kick me out over it. It is a gym not a library, i wasnt being obnoxious and i did not do it on purpose.

I love this gym! The staff is amazing, it’s always clean, well staffed, and the bathrooms/locker rooms are always pristine! No weird smells, broken equipment or rude staff- also, they have lots of fun extras like tanning, massages and customized workout plans made just for you for your goals and abilities!

All workers at the PFs ove been to have been great people. But the effingham PF has extraordinary people always willing to help in every way know me by first name and everything and only go there maybe 1 day a week being my secondary location.

I was skeptical when Planet Fitness came to town, but OMG do I appreciate their approach to gym membership. #1 is the "no lunkheads" rule that prevents loud obnoxious grunting, dropping of weights, etc. For those with anxiety of any severity, that stuff is detrimental to success at the gym. #2 is the Black Card amenities like water jet massage chairs, tanning, and red light therapy. And the employees are great, they are there when you need them but otherwise they let you just do your thing. So long as you aren't behaving like a lunkhead!

Stopped here while traveling. No issues entering with black card membership, and my wife got in with guest pass. Plenty of machines. No wait. Showers clean. Only two shower stalls in the men's room. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.

I discontinued my membership because they put channels with useless information on the screens. I really don’t like working out but news channels occupy my mind and I can ignore my body as to what I’m doing when watching them.

Visiting from out of town, pulling a 37 ft RV, trucks 22 ft, plenty of parking in the parking lot during the day, Tuesday about noon. This is a mini planet Fitness, to Smith's machines limited machines and treadmills etc, but they all fit perfectly within the facility and it's set up well. Small building, unsure of the population here this might be the perfect size for this population.
Staff were polite, bathroom is clean, machines were clean and all were working. Ceiling fans were moving counterclockwise which is the right direction for pushing an air down, ceiling is painted black which makes it a lot darker in this facility than other planet Fitness facilities with white ceilings. Lighting is LED and lights up the place well
