The staff are always friendly and make you feel comfortable the minute you walk in. The gym is always clean and the machines are in good condition. It's not intimidating like other gyms, everyone is focused on their own fitness and it feels supportive rather than competitive. I also enjoy the hydo massage beds/chairs. I wish they were open 24/7

Eric from Elk Grove village is a ROCKSTAR.!!! Sunday he closed alone and this guy was zooming every inch of this place to make sure it was tidy and prepped for morning shift. He managed to do front check ins and keep the bathrooms clean. It was astonishing to witness, he had a smile during the whole time. He’s so kind to everyone that comes in, thanks Eric ! Manager is never attentive, only there to be on her phone, and harass me mid set and humiliate me in front of all the other people. I don’t use their bathrooms or locker rooms due to them always being so dirty and smelling horrendous. The toilets are always dirty and full of excrement. Paper towel and toilet paper is always on the floor. The facility is poorly maintained with benches that are unstable and wobbly. When you walk in, nobody greets you because they are all on their phones. There is one older gentleman with white hair who is always great but everyone else, especially the employee Sisi who i’m assuming is the manager - is not attentive and is always glued to her phone. I’ll continue going to the Bloomingdale location, will never return to the Elk Grove location.

What a horrible experience! First time in my life a had a such horrific experience with a front desk receptionists, one named Karla or (Carly)don’t now the other ones name. My husband was minding his own business, pulling weights, and making a bit loud breathing. Not loud grunting, no slamming weights, no intimidating cloth. Just pulling heavy-weight breathing. These receptionists pull a very loud alarm, like sirens TWICE for that. I didn’t say anything at the first one, but when they did the second time I approach to them nice and quietly asked why they doing it, because my husband wasn't grunting loudly. The receptionist Karla gave me the and my husband a whole attitude, was rude and said we should not make ANY noises while working out. There was no threat, no intimidation whatsoever towards them. And then when we were leaving they called the POLICE on us. We had to talk to the police, explain how RIDICULOUS the situation was, and clear things out. We experience complete framing, humiliation, and toxic manipulative actions towards us. This is not our main gym location, in the other locations members breathe loudly all the time and we never had a problem with it, only this particular front desk employee was practically slandering us and trying to ruin our reputation for “grunting” loudly and with false accusations.

This gym and location used to be a 5-star experience. However, the new manager is ridiculous. She is constantly on her phone and often harasses members. Recently, she made a big deal about me carrying a small religious duffle bag, which I would hang on the equipment hooks, even though many others carry backpacks. I would avoid this gym at all costs.

I am very disappointed with the behavior of the new employee at Planet Fitness. I am a regular customer with a VIP card and often bring new clients to this club. Today, I brought my friend on a guest pass to show him all the benefits of my card and the amenities he could enjoy if he decided to join, such as massage and hydromassage.

However, a rude girl named Sarah at the reception refused to give my friend coins for the massage chair and was very impolite to him. My friend was extremely disappointed that such staff works here. Although he was considering purchasing a VIP membership to access all club amenities, he was not allowed to try them and was kicked out of the room with the massage chairs. She said that only I could be there, which was very rude.

Please take appropriate measures regarding this issue.

I must note that all other employees at this location are always polite and friendly, smiling and clearly enjoying their work. For example, Dobromira is an excellent worker. But Sara is a poor employee.

Planet Fitness EGV is my favorite franchise gym & PF location. I’ve been to many. I just cancelled another gym membership because they push amenities, and members are loud & distracting.

You cannot beat the PF price. They have machines for every body part and plenty of cardio equipment. It’s clean. I like the atmosphere, the members are usually respectful, and the staff is friendly and helpful, always. I feel welcomed and comfortable there. The staff acknowledges everyone coming and going and sometimes by name. Angelica stands out because she’s really helpful & friendly. I mention the staff because members underestimate their importance. They all keep the place running smoothly e.g., if a member is getting out of hand, i.e., slamming weights etc. the lunk alarm goes off, you might hear some giggles, and suddenly all the members are minding their manners & their business. LOL.
Carly & Anell (artist) take time to put up signage about special offers, reminders, etc. etc.

Even if you have been to other Planet Fitness locations and were not happy with them you should try this location. I was formerly a member with a different location and once I tried Elk Grove I changed over immediately. This is an excellent fitness center and I highly recommend you see for yourself. I’ve been around to several PF locations but this is definitely my favorite gym out of all the ones I’ve been to.

It’s definitely not as crowded as Schaumburg where I used to go. The night staff is nice especially the red haired front desk employee who never gets irritated when I ask to use the massage station. Some workers at competing gyms used to get an attitude or they just looked intimidating so I never approached them. Only con is I wish Friday’s they closed later and maybe add some more cleaning stations.

Awesome members, friendly staff. Why is it always below 64 degrees in there? I’ve seen it at 58 degrees before and frankly it’s way too uncomfortable to workout there. I’ve spoken with some staff and they say the heater works, but the manager won’t up the temp. It is noticeably warmer when the outside temperature is warm, but when it’s cold outside it’s cold in the gym. Turn the heater on!!!

Awful, horrible customer service. The manager is not helpful at all. Cancelled my membership and even have the document that was sent to my email that states the last day to use the club was 8/16/23, yet woke up to a credit card charge and her telling me it was a “typo”. Do better. If you admit you made a mistake, fix it. There are plenty of other gyms and since you’re “privately owned” why go to a big name that can’t stand behind their business bc they are privately owned and don’t care about customer service.

Floors are very dirty with all such dirt, debris and hair flying around and getting in to your nostrils while you work out. Folks at front desk are simply hanging around and enjoying their time instead of cleaning this dirt. Same is the case of water fountain it looks and smells like bathroom tub with all kind of lime and scales built up with no filter replaced. It's matter of time someone will fall sick and sue them for their negligence.
