Rude staff.
Went in to go and tan as i always do and rude front desk lady said i couldn’t because i didn’t have any eyewear which i did. Super disappointed and left front desk attendants should be trained on how to talk to customers especially ones who pay for the black card. waste of my time and money.

Absolutely love this location. The staff is amazing!!!! They always greet you when you come in and when you leave (other locations don't do that) and they are always willing to help.

On Friday Sept. 5th. I observed a group of four individuals in their 20’s who used multiple machines but didn’t clean any of them. That’s just gross, I guess the Lunk alarm is no longer a thing. One of them was wearing a Palestine shirt. Respect is earned not given, do better.

I was happy to find a Planet Fitness that was open 24hrs until I entered and saw construction happening in the gym. I figured it'll be fine as long as I'm able to work out. It was great until I wanted to work on my legs - all three leg leg presses were out of service and no signs were up. Someone needs to maintain these machines and some look run down. Overall, I appreciate the location and the hours.

A lot of useless machines, Whoever picked them up has no idea about working out. Do the abs on one of the machines by the reastroom by the back wall. I haven't seen anyone using them.for 3 months i've been attending. A lot of kids coming in and occupying the machines sitting on the phone instead of working out. Management closed part of the gym during the peak hours, because they were hanging monitors. That should be done after the peak hours possibly during the night.

the level of attitude and poor customer service and management I've experienced at my local Planet Fitness. Recently, the gym has been undergoing construction, which has caused significant disruptions to my workouts.
When I inquired about potential incentives or accommodations for members during this time, I was met with a dismissive attitude. The staff seemed unconcerned with the impact of the construction on members and suggested that I either "deal with it" or find another gym.
As a member, I expect a certain level of service and respect, especially during challenging situations like construction. I hope that in the future, Planet Fitness will prioritize member satisfaction and consider offering incentives or alternatives to mitigate the impact of disruptions.

The gym is cleanly and has great equipment but the employees show little to no care for retaining members. On march 5th I was accused of stealing a water bottle from the fridge and was chased down all the way to my car for this - I had purchased the water bottle on the way in and the worker was adamant he saw me steal it until I returned to the gym with the staff and proved them wrong. This was an absolute waste of my time and a serious accusation all for a 3$ water. Fast forward to April 12th and I was stopped mid workout and asked to leave because I had brought slides and not closed toe shoes. I have been a member for close to 10 years so I had honestly forgot the policy and asked if I could finish my workout which they denied. I understand the policy but I also raised the previous instance to the “manager” and was shown little to no remorse on it.
I have had no issues in my whole fitness journey at any other gym I’ve been to, I'm very disappointed in the little regard they have to their members as a long time member of pf. I was forced to terminate my membership as I have never been treated this way at any other gym in my life.

Even though the workout machines are ready to retire, the staff at this location is outstanding. Their dedication to helping members and addressing issues more than makes up for the frequent machine breakdowns. Chino and Aden were quick to listen to my concern about not just one, but three treadmills being out of order. Chino came right over, inspected all three, and made me feel better with a great conversation while resetting the machines. Thank you so much, Chino and Aden, you men are amazing!

During my last workout shortly ago, I was verbally abused and accosted by a racist black woman. I had walked by her area and accidentally stepped on the very corner of her workout matt (which I didn’t know was hers since she was not using it). She was so outraged that she decided to use vulgar language to verbally abuse me, swearing and raising her voice and calling me names, so the entire gym could hear. She looked like that type of a person. I had brought this up to the staff members a few different times, after the third time I told the staff then the agreed to go speak with the member. You could still hear the members carrying thru the gym - and still nothing was done to remove the member. This member needs to be investigated and banned permanently from ALL planet Fitness establishments. This is definitely being brought up to corporate, This is definitely being brought up to corporate and the club owner for a full investigation.
For me, personally being verbally abused, accosted, called names while backed by racist intentions does not fly in the Planet Fitness ‘judgment free’ zone.

Love the Elmwood Park location it’s always clean especially the locker rooms which is a huge plus. Showers are clean staff is friendly and they all always greet everyone that walks in the door. Black card Member/Community Advocate - PF in Elmwood Park, IL quality of care with customer service and up keep cleaning isn't done frequently. This was formerly my home gym, for many years. This location is convenient travel. When the District Manager doesn't return customers' calls, this demonstrates lack of quailty management. This is a sign why some of this mangers' location have similar issues - same manager. I rather travel miles to the Planet Fitness at Belmont/Pulaski, where the quality of care is much better. You can always transfer your home gym. There is lack of cleaning, in many businesses, now that the pandemic is over.

This location has newer equipment than the one on North avenue, but the machines are filthy! People don't wipe down after themselves at this location at all so most of machines have this weird stickiness to them. I get people don't like to think about COVID anymore but it feels like people here don't wipe down the machines to prove a point. They also don't enforce the circuit rule so people go there and hog machines.
