My only real critique is the overwhelming amount of mirrors. While I get that mirrors can be helpful in a gym setting, it can be uncomfortable if you're someone who feels self-conscious. Most of the cardio machines, like treadmills and bikes, face directly into the mirrors, which feels a bit ironic for a place that markets itself as “Judgement Free.” It would make a big difference if at least some of the machines were turned away from the mirrors to give members the option.

If you’re looking for a clean, well-equipped gym with no frills (and you’re okay seeing your reflection often), this Planet Fitness absolutely gets the job done.

Planet Fitness has just about every piece of equipment you could need (minus a pool), and for the size of the building, it's impressive how much they've managed to fit inside while still keeping things feeling spacious. The massage chairs and hydro beds are a fantastic bonus – definitely a favorite part of the experience.

Outstanding! This place is very clean and huge. Staff seemed very pleasant and was helpful. One of the few reasons to enjoy being in Galesburg. Just kidding...

It was a five but the stupid computer would not let me pay for my water or give me the discount for buying with the black plan or whatever... So paid full price and had to use the app on my phone to pay instead of the planet fitness app...

Update: I called in to ask a question..... He answered it and then asked me if I had any more questions and I said no and he said good and hung up. Not sure what the hell just happened.

The facility itself is very nice (highly recommend the showers), and the person who was on the overnight shift with the blue eyebrows and blue and black hair was amazing and extremely accommodating to my fiancée and I as disabled individuals. However, the guys that were there around 11:30 were rude, and had a problem with us being remote check ins. I understood the need to ask for my ID if my photo is for some reason not showing up on my guest account (a fault with the planet system cause it was there before but I digress), asking my fiancée why we "chose this gym" was completely unnecessary and not something they are supposed to ask. The difference in treatment versus their home gym memebers to remote check ins should NEVER be so distinct. - A previous Planet Fitness employee at a different location.

I come all the time to tan I am one of those who only tan. I use multiple locations as I travel. I have had the worst customer service at the Galesburg location , the short haired blonde in the mornings and another guy who works her shift are amazing best customer service. The over night guy and morning lady girl with purple hair are plain out rude. I wish there was a closer planet fitness so I could change my home location. I love planet fitness as a whole but from Colorado to Missouri to Ohio this is by the worst customer service I experienced.

I can't say enough good things about the staff; whoever hired them has an eye for what makes a good crew.
Way more affordable than I thought, especially for all the amenities. The value for the price is extraordinary. The machines are always clean and in working order. Since I've never been to a different PF, I can't compare, but this is far superior to the YMCA, especially for the price!

I find it absolutely appalling that the store policy requires a doctor's note to place a hold on my membership for a few months. I find it a violation of HIPAA, patient confidentiality and a violation of personal health information to request this in order to place a hold on a membership. It is not like I am trying to cancel my membership, I am just trying to place a hold on it for a few months, which I have done in the past about 2:00 or 3 years ago. I have been a member of Planet Fitness for over 5 years. I will now say that I will not be a member anymore after this appalling and absurd violation of my privacy. I am concerned for the safety of the members and their PHI.

I had high hopes for this planet fitness. I used to use one back at home and never encountered any problems, but that's not the case in Galesburg. Myself and 3 other people have been completely disrespected by employees one too many times. What's PF's saying? Judgement Free Zone? Yeah, right. Employees have laughed at us, acted like us asking for a tanning bed was the end of the world, glaring at us while we work out and moving from the main counter to sit and be on your phone and watch us? It's disgusting. We paid to be apart of this gym and be welcomed into a community of people wanting to better themselves, but instead, we got the complete opposite. I'd gladly go back to my old gym, or pay $60 a month if it means I'd never go back to the Galesburg Planet Fitness.

Watch your payments and make sure you do not have an expired credit card on file. They will continue to run it before they run the secondary card each month just so they can charge you a late fee every month until you catch it. This went on for 9 months. While I understand it is my responsibility to update a card, I would think out of courtesy to their customer they would notice a late fee for 9 months and contact me. Also when asked to cancel membership, I was told I have to pay $20 for late fees. I asked to have a statement of my account sent and it says as of todays date I have a $0 balance. I am also being told the $20 late fee is from September and January but on the statement I was charged a late fee every month since August and each month it shows a $0 balance. Also, we were told we had to send a letter in to cancel membership which we did 2 months ago. When asked about the letter, they asked if it was sent certified so I have proof of it. Nice excuse.

Do you people not value safety you’re blonde exercise police decided to tell a female to put her jacket in a locker 40 mins into my workout so I had to stop the treadmill and I almost got hurt and fell off it needless to say I just had a surgery in my neck major one two months ago so I feel she should have waited until after I was done or before or me walking to another machine instead of causing someone to possibly get hurt! I go for tanning. Every time I have gone bulbs have been burnt out. Today I went and 6 bulbs in 1 bed were out. I told the assistant manager and all he could say was I’m sorry. That’s all they say. Said they can only order so much because they are not just a tanning salon.But I’m paying for tanning... But before I even joined I asked several questions. They told me they were checked every night. Excuse after excuse. They also told me that only one person is in charge of ordering. And she lied to me and said she was sick for 2 weeks and I saw her there the week before. They need to close it down or get it together . Not happy at all. They haven’t even offered a free month or any thing. Just I’m sorry! I’ve had enough sorrys
