This particular location is what made me cancel my membership. It's awful, the staff don't care, no one cleans up after themselves, and it's just all around a bad time. Every time I'm there, there's a new person up front who is too busy on their phone or chatting with their friends to be refilling the paper towel dispensers, making sure the machines are clean, or making sure the trash is taken care of. One time I was there, there was an enormous puddle of water (I assume) in the middle of the floor. I alerted the staff, who not only did not clean it up, but put towels over it and a sign stating "Caution Wet Floor". That was it.
I will NOT be going back, and I will NOT be renewing my membership to this particular company.

Unfortunately had my $200 Sony headphones stolen while I was showering here the morning of 10/24/25... pretty bold act and naively thought I was safer (so kinda let my guard down) because this location is in a 'nicer' area. There were only so many people in the gym bathroom, so hopefully they catch the thief. 😐

If I could give a zero stars I would. I’m at this location 3 days a week only and the women’s locker room and showers are always disgusting. I keep getting “review us” emails but why bother, nothing that is said ever sticks so if they want my review so badly, here it is for all to see: the counters are always dirty (please provide paper towel dispensers in the locker room so I can at least wipe someone else’s mess if you’re not going to do it); the floors in the shower changing rooms are littered with what looks like little papers and hairballs; the showers and shower curtains are terribly dirty and gross (hair and other things are in the corners of the shower stalls and on the drains plus at least one shower never has hot water and its like Russian roulette, it’s never the same one) Finally, what annoys me the most about the showers is that the same hair and oddities will be sitting there all 3 days I visit. You need better staff, the kind that don’t stand around behind the desk, or sit on the floor behind the desk or only pay attention to their phones. FYI, the photos are from today but everything is the same as it was yesterday and it will probably be the same tomorrow too.

This gym was great. I would totally go back here. It has your basic needs which I appreciate. Straight to the point. I went for free off of the highschool summer pass last year. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here.

They let a “transgender” (it was an obvious cis straight white teenage male who was being a creeper, he wasnt a part of the LGBTQ+ community which I AM A PART OF) try and forcefully enter my changing stall. I called the police, filed a report, and they banned me to be politically correct and protect the predator who was obviously trying to hurt me. They obviously dont have cameras in the locker rooms so they automatically took his side to “protect his rights” to attempt to kick into the stall I was changing in after he could obviously tell I was in there. What about my rights? This was last year and I re registered and went for an entire week until yesterday when they told me im banned for this incident which occurred last year

BIG BIG BIG thank you to Noam and Will today for helping me out and being great! I'm still figuring out how to join the email list and turn on notifications, however I still wanted to put this review out here so that they get some recognition! I accidentally dropped my AirPods case and a very meaningful necklace in the stair master and they landed in a very difficult spot where you could not get it from the bottom or through the top of the machine. But Noam and Will were able to get my belongings back to me! It was definitely not an easy job and I thought I would just have to come back for my things a different day, but they kept trying and I really really appreciate it. This experience really helped set Planet Fitness apart from other gyms I have been to!

I love this gym so much. The staff is so welcoming every single time I walk in the door. Nicole, the manager is so friendly and her gym is always clean. If you ever have a question about a piece of equipment, someone is always there to help. I can't imagine working out anywhere else!

I never even got to use this facility because of the incompetence and outright laziness of the front desk staff. There was one person helping a lady sign up and a group of young kids talking at the front desk. I waited 15 minutes until the staff member asked one of the kids, a female to finally assist me. At that point, I was done. I now know why Planet Fitness is truly the bottom of the barrel for gyms in America. Never go here. Spend the extra buck for a better more equipped facility.

I moved recently and needed help with my membership and Nicole, the manager of this location, was amazing. She was kind, professional, available and helped me with my membership. She was very much in contrast with Stefano, the manager of the Deerfield Planet Fitness where my son was a member. She represents Planet Fitness very well and they are lucky to have her. This was a wonderful club and I wish I still had access to it -- clean equipment, friendly membership people, perfect location!

After I requested a refund online, Planet Fitness charged my bank account. When I called to inquire about my membership and cancellation, they claimed I hadn't canceled or made any online request, suggesting it might be a system issue on their end. Later, they provided a number for issuing the refund, but when I called, the office they stated that the club had declined to provide a refund.

Ive been to many planet fitness locations. This one is my favorite gym in the chicago/Skokie area. The machines count your reps. Not as busy as other locations. Cleaner too. I just wish you can buy the drinks using cash.

Just wanted to get a day pass which cost almost as much as a month pass. I was told I couldnt just pay and setup my account that I had to register online. Then when i went to sign up i had to have my bank account info on hand and couldnt just use a card. Facility was nice but was told they could ring up a 20 dollar day pass but not a 24.99 membership for a month.

For years I went to the one in Morton Grove.. One Sunday I pulled up and it was closed due to flooding.. I was just used to going to that 1 but I live in Glenview so I went to the new Glenview one and I could never go back to the. Old Morton Grove one again.. Newer bigger cleaner twice as much cardio..

Just to give some context to my opinion-

I’m someone that already doesn’t like going outside more than I have to, but there’s something nice about hitting the gym after a long day and bumping my favorite podcast to drown out the nuances of what everyone else is doing. The staff is always friendly! Machines have always been available when I went and organized in a sensible manner (take this with a grain of salt, I mainly go during the evening/night). This is a great place for your fitness goals.

Estera, the GM at the Glenview Planet Fitness, is SUCH as cool person; super outgoing and sociable. Honestly, without her friendliness and positive attitude, the location would feel out of place. I have been a member at this location for over a year. The location is spacious and, importantly, always clean. I highly recommend you guys try this location out.

Love this location because it's new. Was 5 stars but not a fan of the hours changing.

The employees are usually nice but not the most knowledgeable when it comes to the products / services offered.

Also, it's not the most hygienic gym.. and since it's a brand new gym, I wouldn't expect that.

Make sure to wipe down the massage / tanning areas because they do not.
Every single time I come in, I have to wipe it down at least twice with the spray (it looks like dead skin is coming off when I clean it.. 🤢)

There are no garbage bins in the tanning rooms. It would be nice if they included a mirror as well, like the other locations I've been to.

It's a clean Planet Fitness. Love the location only thing I did not like are there cardio machines. All of them are Matrix not the Life Fitness machines that are usually at other locations. I really dislike these machines nothing like the other machines.

There are no barbell racks or bench press racks here. You cannot do barbell movements at this gym. The site does not declare this or make this clear, but this seems to be pretty standard PF fare. The facilities are clean and staff are nice, but the gym is less than half complete since it doesn't have important equipment. Avoid if you're serious about fitness.

Recently joined this gym along with a few others in the area as I have a program through my insurance that allows you to join unlimited gyms so I figured I’d try them all out and pick the best. Well so far this one wins. All the equipment is brand new and nothing is broken. The place is super clean and the locker rooms don’t smell. All the staff and members are friendly.

The only draw backs are no regular bench press or squat racks (true of all planet fitnesses) and they don’t have a machine for calf raises. The place is never packed and there’s almost never a wait for a machine

Disappointed with two of my regular workout machines at this location. All the equipment is brand new, but new isn’t always better. The ab cruncher in the ab room isn’t as wide as the older model and I can’t pull it down over my hips. One style of rowing machine I use regularly has changed the hand grips. They’re chunky and thicker made for a man as well as textured with little nubs which are uncomfortable and distracting. The older handles are smooth and slimmer. Also, adding 5 or 10 lbs to the established weight has changed to manually loading little discs.
New is not better. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. IMO

"DIFFICULT FOR NO REASON."

This was the last comment that the front desk guy threw at me when I left the gym today because I was not ready to give my information for guest registration yet. Planet Fitness, I was pretty sure I was going to sign up tonight but you lost me as a customer.

I was so excited about this location because it's so close to my home so I went in for a quick tour. Because I already had an experience with Planet Fitness, I just wanted to do a quick tour to see how this location looked like. The front desk guy was friendly first, but despite my request to do just a quick tour, he insisted on showing me the black card massage room explaining all the unnecessary amenities I didn't want. I get it, you have to sell so I understand. After doing a quick 5 min tour, I asked some questions about membership. Everything was fine until he said I need to sign a liability form after I'm done with the tour. He should've informed me before I went around if this was the case. I also found out that the form was actually a guest registration form, not a liability form, where I need to put all my contact information. I didn't want to sign up yet so I request if I can sign up tonight after thinking about it. After going back and forth, he said, "Fine, you do whatever you want." As I pulled the door, I EXACTLY remember what he said, which was "DIFFICULT FOR NO REASON." I was so furious that I came back to him for a clarification, and he changed his words by saying "I just had a difficult day." It's one thing to have a difficult day, but it's another thing to say negative things about your potential customers when they can hear you.

That was my first and last impression of this location. I can clearly see that I'm not welcomed here with this attitude from the front desk guy. I'm not coming back.
