This is my favorite location at all of them and I go to many. I love that the people greet you and they’re so upbeat. They’re so helpful. They don’t make you feel like you’re bothering them. It’s always clean and they have all the best equipment I just love this location.

I’ve never had a problem with this planet fitness until one of the workers told me that the manger wanted to speak to me. The manger then told me that people were uncomfortable with what I wear to the gym and asked if I own longer shorts or can I wear pants. I was literally wearing black shorts and a T-shirt. I didn’t say anything to the lady because I'm not confrontational but this made me feel so embarrassed and genuinely dumb. I think I’m going to cancel my membership here to save my embarrassment

Brand new gym. Love how open it is, as well as how many machines are available. The manager Cory is awesome and makes sure each and every person that comes in feels welcomed and that they should be here, and the staff are very nice and helpful as well!

Edit: I've been going here for almost a year now and I still love this location. The new manager Sarah is great, and Allen & Grace are always there to greet and help anyone that comes in. Equipment and facility is always clean.

I looked into joining this location, took a tour and spoke to one of the workers, but what I found is that this location has the highest startup fee ($59) of any others in the area, and there is also a 12mo contract, whereas all the others have no commitment for the $10 p/m plan. Not sure why this gym is different, but I would be concerned that if this franchise is not following the form of the other gyms, I unfortunately don't trust that they won't raise prices even more and sneak in other fees. Lockport or Woodridge locations seem like a better option.

This is more of a non rating. Just for context I will say that I have gone to a plethora of gyms (former active duty) all around the country, and numerous on the south suburbs (xsport, LA, even PF in Lockport) for many years. One of the things that comes with gyms is getting a day pass (or 3) so you can see if the gym truly works for you. There is only so much you can get from a quick walk through. I live in Homer Glen and would have loved to see if the new location on Archer worked for me. I called at 9:17 am on October 4th. After I was told that the IPAD was possibly broken I l was told that they don’t do passes for prospective new members. I could pay $20 and work out for the day if I choose. Seems like a strange policy but enough to dissuade me from coming in. Again a walk through I one thing, I work out enough to where I know I need to look for certain things and certain factors that other people may not care about, best of luck to the business though.

This place is beautiful. Spacious with plenty of equipment for everyone. The cryobed is something out of sci-fi movies. From the water massage chairs, to the regular massage chairs, stand-up and lay-down tanning beds, special lights. I don't even know what to do there are so many things. Bathrooms are pristine. Kudos to the new team!! This is what planet fitness should always look like inside!!

I just joined and this location is big and clean and quiet. I know it won't stay that way (quiet) but there are a ton of machines here and they are really nice, brand new. The staff has been great and always happy to help. Dominique and Jack (I think) have been especially helpful showing me what the hell I'm doing since I'm new to the gym and they always remind me to use the spa before I leave, which is much appreciated since I somehow never think of it myself.
