I love that the gym is truly a no judgement zone with all the different skill range and body types. Going to a gym is intimidating but not here. The employees are very friendly and helpful as well. I would suggest this gym for beginners or someone who has been going for years.

I’ve been going to Planet Fitness in Marion for about three and a half months now, and it’s actually my first time ever being part of a gym. When I first walked through those doors—the day after signing up online—I honestly had no idea what to expect. I’ll admit, it was a little intimidating at first since I wasn’t sure where to start, but those nerves faded quickly. The staff has been incredibly helpful with any questions I’ve had, and the other members have been just as friendly and welcoming. I really like that there’s such a great variety of equipment, plenty of weight machines and lots of treadmills, which I’ve actually grown to love using. The gym is also super clean, well-maintained, and comfortably spaced without ever feeling overcrowded.

I can confidently say I have zero regrets about joining and look forward to going every day! I’ve made so much progress with my health and fitness since joining, and it’s truly been a life-changing experience for me. To top it off, I even convinced a friend to sign up recently, and they’ve been enjoying it just as much as I have. Planet Fitness has genuinely made working out something I enjoy and look forward to, and I couldn’t be happier with that.

Tired of paying for the Black Card membership and signing up for a tanning bed slot only to be sitting around 5 or 6 minutes past my slot. I don’t know if my slot was given up, but I signed up for 1220 today and walked out at 1226. Never had this issue at my last PF Club. Doesn’t do any good to say anything because it keeps happening.

I’m a truck driver, so this review is mainly for other drivers looking for a workout stop. Staff here is super friendly and the place is nice and clean. Not semi-truck friendly anymore since Planet Fitness rents the place, the staff member told me that they gonna lay new asphalt so they have put no semi parking board recently, but there’s a Target behind the building with no “No Parking” signs. I parked there overnight, no one bothered me, and it’s just a 5-minute walk to the gym. If you park there, please be respectful and keep the area clean so we can all keep using it without problems.

I really enjoy/like all the different equipment offered from beginner to experience there's something for everyone. I also love the NO judgment in the past at a completely different gym that was NOT situation. Having the massage chairs after a good workout is extremely amazing. Lastly being able to bring a friend or family member and can workout at any Planet Fitness in the USA.

Do not go here to tan. Their tanning beds don’t tan at all. Asked for a refund and Pace the manager was rude and insinuated I didn’t know how to use a tanning bed. Even though I regularly tanned at Beauty Glow prior and could most definitely tell I had tanned anytime I went. I will be going back to Beauty Glow. Don’t waste your time tanning here.

Me and my friends exercise 6:00-7:30 AM, Monday-Friday.
Many employees barely do their job, wear a fake smile while forced to say the company slogan and disappear because they don’t want to be bothered. Not yours! All of your employees are pleasant.
HOWEVER, you have one that shines brighter than the rest of the crew, TIM. He wears a genuine smile and he is eager to help answer questions with enthusiasm. He is happy to share his weight loss story and full of encouragement for everyone.
For me, it’s nice to walk into the gym at 6:00 AM and be greeted by someone that’s truly genuine with a joyful heart. (Rarely does that happen anywhere.) You are lucky to have an employee like that. My suggestion, please give Tim kudos and a pay raise for being your best employee, a true supporter of Planet Fitness and making the gym a little more meaningful.

I rarely write negative reviews, but I’m not quite understanding all the 5 star reviews for the Marion location. I went exclusively to the Carbondale location for about 2 years and it was immaculate. Always full spray bottles & paper towels, completely clean & stocked bathrooms, and at least 1 employee was CONSTANTLY cleaning all the machines- wiping them down with disinfectant as well as dusting them off, and frequent vacuuming of floors as well.

I switched to the Marion location 4 months ago when I switched to a job in Marion & was disappointed. I go twice per week & every time I go, more than 1 spray bottle is empty and/or paper towels are out; I’ve seen trash cans around the gym overflowing with used paper towels, the women’s bathroom frequently smells unpleasant & no air freshener to help. The machines have visible dust on them, & today, I used a restroom stall and found out that it was completely out of toilet paper. And what I don’t understand is that I usually see 3-4 employees behind the counter every time I’m there.

I really didn’t want to give a bad review and I waited awhile to see if things would get better before writing this but they have not gotten better.

The people that rate this location 5 stars have obviously not been to other PF locations.
Crazy hours Not open 24 hours Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday even though they say 24/5 on the front door. Terrible black spa as there is ZERO ventilation so it’s boiling in there. The tanning beds are an oven and even the massage beds and sitting area are unbearable. I won’t tan at this location. Workout area is tight everywhere, not much elbow room anywhere between machines, no real stretching area.
I usually drive 20 more minutes to workout at Carbondale
