I’ve been a Planet Fitness member for many years across different locations, and the Moline location has really stood out lately. The new manager, Rashi (cant recall her full name), is outstanding — professional, smart, and very tech-savvy. While resolving my issue and helping me with the app, I also noticed her efficiently handling several other members’ concerns at the same time. The club is clean, well-maintained, and clearly under great leadership. The morning staff is also friendly, courteous, and professional. Truly impressed!

This is by far the worst ran planet I have ever walked into. The facility never seems to be cleaned, bottles are half full and paper towels are left empty for long periods. Equipment isn’t maintain by any means. And of course to top it off there is a man I see regularly that will take his shirt off not wipe down his equipment after and I see how other patrons look annoyed to even see him and I feel that the complaint falls on deaf ears. For this facility to have won best club in the franchise it sure doesn’t seem like it.

I have been going here for 2 years. I pay for the black card membership to bring a guest and tan.
For at least the past 2 months, the tanning beds have been out of order or there is ONE running that is dirty and doesn’t work well. What is the point of paying for the black card when I can’t even use it for what I want? Waste of money. And I highly doubt we get reimbursed for any of it.

The Planet Fitness in Moline is a nice facility to come and exercise. The Manager and her staff work really hard to ensure a clean facility, with machines in good working condition. They are very helpful, and attentive to the facility.

I will share that I did witness a concerning situation awhile back, on a Saturday night, around the time the gym was closing. There was a male employee working at the time, who spoke with some type of accent. A woman with a disability was in the restroom. The male employee was a bit harsh in his tone with guests to get everyone out of the building due to it being closing time. The woman with the disability, finishing in the restroom, requested to another female guest to please alert this male staff member she wound be coming out soon. Unfortunately, the male staff member was very rude to the woman alerting him of the woman with the disability who was still in the restroom. This male staff member was very unhappy learning the woman with the disability was still in the restroom, and blurted out a disdainful remark to the woman who was alerting him saying, “We don’t need people like that in here”. This male staff member’s remark was very inappropriate, and very concerning toward the disability community.

Staff needs to stay off their phones and pay attention. I scanned in, had to run out to my car to grab my charger for my ear buds, was back in less than 5 minutes later and was told that I had to rescan in. Had he not been so wrapped up in his phone when I came in and walked out he would have known that I had just scanned in. PAY ATTENTION and get off your phone!!!

I really enjoy working out here. I have been going here for like 3 months now. The atmosphere is great, and the people are respectful. The only downside is that the gym has started playing loud music lately, which they didn’t use to do before. It can be a bit annoying, but overall, everything else is really good.

I've been coming here to this specific PF for about 3 years. I've seen staff come and go but the staff they have today is 10/10. They're part of the reason why I won't go anywhere else, along with the equipment in great condition. Even at the busiest times, they do a good job with the upkeep. Other gyms around here aren't even close, and I've trialed most of them.

My 17 year old went into the Moline, IL location. An employee helped him sign up online for the $1 promotion and $15/month there after. AT NO TIME did the employee mention anything about a $49 annual membership fee. Also, HE IS A MINOR and this employee allowed and helped him sign up WITHOUT a parent present to give consent!! Now 2 months later my son sees the $49 charge show up at his bank and is confused so when I called the gym that he signed up at they told me that there is nothing they can do and refuse to reverse the charge even though my child is a MINOR that cannot be held responsible for this contract! When I went into the gym I spoke with Christina who even confirmed that I was not listed anywhere on the membership which shows that he did NOT have parental consent! I will NEVER step foot in Planet Fitness ever again and I will make sure thatvI blast their poor customer service everywhere!! This is wrong and I've already contacted my attorney!

I am still not able to cancel my membership over the phone. I do not understand why? The only way to cancel the membership is to come in person is what they said. Someone has to take charge and realize and use the technology we have at this age. With all the tech and devices at our disposal to tell me to cancel in person only is a new way of robbing people.

I tried canceling my membership through the app. The app said it had been successfully canceled and I shouldn't be charged anymore. I got a $50 charge still. I called the PF I went to and on the phone and they said my membership is canceled and I would not be charged for anything else. She said no need to come in as it was canceled. I was still charged for it and when I called back they said it was never shut down and I need to pay all of the fees and coke in to sign before I can close my account. I do not suggest PF to any of my friends or family and direct them to a family owned gym closer to my house. If you want to be scammed for $50 a month, this is the place to go.

The facility is always clean. My Black card membership, the tanning beds have been maintained and operating at 100%, which was not the case in 2022. The staff has always been present when I arrive, and always treat me with professionalism. The locker rooms have been maintain immensely, giving me a good sense of confidence. The only con is some of the machines I use for weight lifting exercises have a long duration to being fixed if damaged.

Got overcharged for a month of my membership. Called to discuss it, girl that answered the phone kept asking the same questions over and over again, despite giving her the same answer multiple times, so I asked to speak with the manager. Her reply was “you don’t gotta be like that” and then hung up on me. Tried calling back multiple times, they kept hanging up on me. Had to call a different store to get anywhere and speak to someone. Finally got to talk to this absolute jerk who claimed to be a manager, refused to allow me to say that there was multiple charges and kept interrupting me to be able to say that there was 2 different charges. I get it, gross old men go in there constantly and go out of their way to make as much of a mess as possible, but it’s too much. Planet Fitness Moline has the friendliest staff. Laurel is my favorite there. She knows me when I walk in and knows which hydrobed and which tanning bed I prefer. She encourages great workouts when I am able to come work out. The entire staff is like family to me and Dan, the manger, keeps things running smoothly and clean. It’s a great place to go for self care.

So many locations fail to maintain being open 24/7 throughout the entire week. Really takes away from the expense of black card membership and traveling all the time. Don't waste your money joining here unless you know what you are doing. They have no trainer, so when you schedule training sessions, like orientation, there is no one there to lead it. Big waste of money!!! Wish I would have known that before getting charged the different fees. They must not pay attention to people scheduling for training sessions, where they could have had the decency to let you know that no one will be there. If I was able, would get a 0 star rating.

My first work out I Burned 200 calories. One of the staff showed me that increasing the elevation burns calories faster. Below is the summary of one of my work outs. Today I burned 662 calories. If you are overweight and are embarrassed to be seen walking in to the gym, don't worry I started at 300 lbs no one pays attention to you, they have their own work out to concentrate on.

in general, a good gym, but there are several disadvantages:
1. one shower is not working (you need a sign that the shower is not working);
2. one faucet for washing hands does not work (you need a sign that the faucet does not work);
3. there are no shelves in the showers to put shampoo and soap. you have to put it all on the floor.
4. there is accumulated debris in the pockets on the treadmills.

Many people are sensitive and/or allergic and many different fragrances flying around at once make the locker rooms nothing but harsh fumes and incredibly hard to breathe for even the average person.

workers are awful here. came in to speak with a manager about my account, and she unfortunately couldn’t help me. i told her that was okay, and asked if there was a number i could call for more info. she gave me a number and i was on my way, no hassle and i wasn’t upset or anything. it wasn’t until i called back a few months later with a different question, just to find out from another employee that there was a “note in my file” stating that i was “difficult to work with and could not be helped” and that i “refused desk service and insisted on calling corporate”. it baffled me since the conversation i had in person was not like that at all? i never asked for corporate and i told her it was fine if she didn’t have answers to my questions. it makes me wonder what else the employees are commenting on in people’s personal files. i will be cancelling my membership and not returning.
