I joined August 18th and everyone has been amazing! The people that are working out the staff and management! Shout out to Morgan who's always there to answer any questions. He never stops working! He's always either cleaning, greeting someone or helping someone. He is an asset to your gym! I have to switch sometimes from afternoons to early mornings due to my work schedule and Robert is always there with a smile in the morning when you're half sleeping trying to wake up! Other staff I don't know their name but there to always answer questions and even if you should know the answer, they're there to explain the equipment or whatever question you may have. I understand reviews and most are good and a few are bad. What I always say is if I'm pointing a finger at someone three are coming back at me. Overall you are doing an amazing job. Keep up the great work. No one is perfect and no gym is perfect but for me you guys are doing a great job going above and beyond. Keep up the great work!. One last story. A shout out to everyone in the men's locker room. I left my hat there. I went back 2 days later and it was still there! Also management is easy to talk to and there to listen if you do have a complaint or a compliment!

I usually have a pretty good experience here with the workers and with the other guests. Lasandra and Vanessa are always so friendly when you come in and if you need anything from there.
The Short manager with red hair has 0 professional skills. I filled out the survey sent to my email stating my issues with broken/out of order things and the cleanliness of the men's locker room, and I was confronted by the manager accusing me of being a liar because the Hydromassage chair #2 is not broken. She was really aggressive saying that nothing is broken in her gym and if it is broken she doesn't know and no one tells her. If she reacts like this every complaint no wonder people won't tell her what's wrong. I wouldn't have an issue if she just wanted to talk about my survey (which I thought was anonymous). The fact is the first thing that was said to me "You, just the person I needed to to talk to" looks like other reviews complain about her behavior so I wonder how long planet fitness will let her ruin their image.

I love this location. I mainly only use it for tanning, and the team never makes me feel bad about that. It is always clean and the staff is very efficient. I’ve even misplaced some items before and the staff noticed immediately and were able to return them to me. The employees are really what make the gym so comfortable, especially Morgan and Mya!

Compared to other facilities in Illinois and other states as well this gyms equipment is sub par. The cleanliness is OK. The layout is decent but they are missing some of the machines I love to use. Went in with two of my friends, we’re all 17, our parents is paying for our black cards memberships/planet fitness memberships. This guy at the front desk was VERY passive aggressive about not letting us in because we weren’t 18. If you look it up, anyone above 17 can have a black card and go in if their parents pay for it and have parent permission. Which is what my friend and I have, her dad signed something before signing her up for it as well. He made my friend downgrade her membership which is insane.

Vacationed at Mendota for a week, Planet fitness was the closest convenient spot for a workout. Overall a great spot for a quick pump and I had some solid workouts. Definitely not up to par with other gyms I've been to, didn't get a good workout in like other gyms. 4 stars no doubt.

Staff is great, good selection of protein snacks/drinks at front desk. Layout of machines throughout the gym is weird, but solid. Free weights is only dumbells up to 75ish. No barbell only smiths and cable machines. Water fountain tastes like hose water. Candy at the front desk (?) Basic PF, nothing fancy

Very disappointed how I was treated yesterday morning. 3 days prior I came in updated my info. I was bill that fine. But next more it was return. Confused why. I call the planet fitness In peru why I wasn't charge and return. I was told my info was incorrect. Told her I was there couple days ago to update with my new debit card. It be the 25 when I get bill. Why almost two weeks out and on top few days before my yearly fee. I get what do you want me do about it. I called the Bloomington store and have the assistant manager she deep dive look into the issue. I shouldn't have to transfer my account to have someone look into the issue. Way I was treated I was about close to cancel my membership. Peru planet fitness should thanks Bloomington il for saving there butt's.

Peru, IL - Planet Fitness has a lot of benefits. Varying from equipment, to different areas of training for specific body parts, to even a full lower body room. From my experience this gym is very clean, you will see staff cleaning a majority of the time you are there. A+ recommended

I belonged to this planet for almost 4 years. Of all the planets I've been to this is the greatest, with the greatest staff. In 3 weeks I've been to 3 different planets on the north side of Chicago and all are trash. I'm literally canceling my membership and never joining another planet for the rest of my life because I've never been to one as good as the Peru one. You guys rock and I'm going to miss the Peru planet very very much.

Signed up as a Black Card member and so far it exceeds my expectations!!! Very happy with the cleanliness and friendly staff. So far I've been in the stand up tanning which gave me amazing color!! The water massage bed was definitely a bonus for rejuvenating my muscles after a strenuous workout. Gave me a new spark to fitness. Would love a squat rack but will and can deal with a smith machine. Thumbs up 🙌

I went to this sorry and pathetic Planet Fitness to sign up and Enjoy a workout on my 1st day off in weeks. Can you believe that the reason why I couldn't sign up or workout is because it is mandatory to sign up on the App and using your BANK Account Number and Routing.

Everyone knows that NOBODY walks around with their Bank Account Number. The Front Desk lady with a huge attitudes and horrible energy told me "EVERYONE HAS THEIR ACCOUNT NUMBER ON THEIR BANK APP" This is a huge lie!! I am a business owner with 4 Bank Accounts and all apps show the Last 4 Digits. No app shows a Full Account number.

So I was Left with no choice but to leave due to not having Personal Financial Banking Information in a place of Fitness.

This Ruined my Day!! I'm not even working out now cuz I'm pissed!! I will never go to this place again and I will make a YouTube Video about this for my Thousands of Subscribers. How is it possible to walk into a place, you try to hive them your money and they Reject you?? 😡🤬💯

The place is clean. Staff has been great. I have been a member since the beginning. Great place to workout. Recently since the growing memberships have gone up the amount of people sometimes is overwhelming. Several people including myself have written to the manager with suggestions and none of us has received a response. We are asking that the 30- minute cardio room be blocked off during busy times maybe 3-7 for people who just want to do the 30- minute circuit and follow the rules of the red light get off and switch and green light you exercise. Or blocked off permanently and only used for people doing 30- minute circuit as it is stated. There are people that sit on the same machine for 10-15 minutes or more doing sets of things, taking snap chats, texting etc. It takes away from the people who are trying to follow the circuit and the numbers. And most of time when asked if done or can move, they don’t. I have been to over 10 other planet fitness and they have a sign that says for circuit training only or your membership will be terminated. The same machines in that area are out in the purple area for people to do their lifts and arms and legs. Please help the ones that are trying to use the room properly and following the rules on the wall. I can send you the picture of the post other planet fitness gyms have.

Trying, for the second time, to cancel my membership as I have moved out of the area. I sent a certified letter to the Peru gym six months ago, asking to cancel, included all of my information. They continue to bill my account. I called again today, was instructed to send a certified letter with all of my account details. Sending another letter, this time certified AND return receipt requested, with my information, to try and cancel the membership. I would definitely do some research and reading about cancellation BEFORE you sign up for a membership!

I would give 5 stars but the showers in mens locker room need updateing really bad they had water scum all. Over the walls noticed a locker messed up other then that everything eles was clean the employees were friendly amd i was able to do a ten hour break in the parking lot with out being disturbed by anyone thank you planet fitness for allowing big trucks to park over nite amd let get fit the following morning before we roll

I have contacted the place many times to cancel my membership and they continue to charge my account. Super sketchy. You can’t cancel unless you go in person. I moved out of the area and cannot get there. They continue to take my money. Purposely scamming customers by restricting ability to cancel. Crazy. Beware. Overall, not a bad gym. Compared to other PF gyms, the staff needs more training and/or coaching on PF rules. A lot of grunting, weight dropping, machine abuse, and people freely talking loudly on their cell phone the four days a week I go. Considering going back to Anytime. While it’s more expensive, the rules are enforced strictly. Very frustrating when you’re trying to workout and meatheads are clanging and banging weights and machines while the staff stands and watches and does and says nothing. Every other PF I go to does not tolerate any of this. They also confront you if you’re talking loudly on your cell phone in workout areas and ask you to move to the lobby. Wish this place enforced the rules more and stood around behind the counter a lot less. Probably one of the reasons there are less people there now than since it opened. The new hours also totally suck. No consideration for people who work third shift.
