I’d love to say Daniel and Lauren are the most amazing staff members that PF has. I understand planet fitness is for more of the newer people getting into lifting. I’m an experienced lifter of color and I’m decently bigger because I’ve gone from fat to fit..but everytime I walk into the gym instead of getting smiles and greetings, I get snobby looks ignorance from the staff. As I walk around the gym all I can feel are eyes on me because I’m a bigger guy of color. Every time I see someone else my size they always get the basic friendly treatment, but when it come to me I don’t feel that same typa of “friendliness” from everyone…ever since the old GM left nothing has been the same. Staff has been more rude and acting like they don’t want to be here, gym isn’t held as uptight, and the environment has become very uncomfortable.

I have had an ongoing problem with my account. I have membership through my blue cross and blue shield, but pay extra 11.99 a month for the extras(tanning, massage,ect..) I always seem to pay this fee late, but do so on the app. Always, I paid late in March on the 28th to be exact, when doing so it showed my yearly membership fee off $10. So when I hit the make payment button, it said for 21.99, being my normal monthly fee plus the yearly membership fee, so I paid the 21.99. Then on April 1st, I get a text saying I have declined payment. So I called the number provided in the text they sent. Garbage, no human on the other end and no prompt for my problem. So I called Sterling Illinois planet fitness, the girl seemed lost and confused, said wait a few days it should recognize I made the payment earlier. So a week later I check my app, it says I owe 20.00. The yearly membership and a late fee. So I just pay it cause I was planning on working out. Then come the 17th I get another declined text. I'm like oh hell no. I call Sterling again, girl was rude as heck, not comprehending anything I was saying. Acted like it was an inconvenience to do her job. Said she was to busy to handle it on the phone come in. Was very short with me and very rude. So I go in, that same girl no name tag walked away from counter as soon as I got in. Then when she did come to the counter did not greet me at all. Once I stated I was the lady with the billing issue, she walked to get someone else. Makayla came up to help me.She pulled it up I said several times what happened and that I have paid a total of $30 for this $10 fee and I'm not paying 11.99 cause you already got an extra 20 out of me. I got penalized for paying early which the app made me. So after showing my proof of both payments, still nothing.Was told to come in next dayto speak to manager. I asked fora corporate number which they couldn't provide. I neverwent inthe next day, cause I was just going to call my insurance and have them switch me to Westwood cause I've never had a problem there. Then today april 21 another declined text call number in the text, nothing. Very disappointing Planet Fitness has no customer service number, cause no one I. Store can help either. Like get it together. I could see if I couldn't provide proof but I did. It's so frustrating 😫

I was SOOO SCARED the first time I walked in the door. This my first time ever joining a gym, first time working out, Actually my first time EVER WALKING INTO A GYM.LOL I was greeted with warmth and friendliness by the young man at the counter named DANIEL DANIEL, made me feel at home. In his first paragraph, he told that PLANET FITNESS IS A NO JUDGEMENT ZONE. That PLANET FITNESS was for every day people. He took me on a tour while explaining every area in detail. DANIEL also took the time to schedule an appointment with the trainer JAYDEN. JAYDEN the TRAINER, met with me for a new member orientation. Super helpful, super supportive. JAYDEN, shared his own physical fitness struggles, his strengths and what keeps him on track with his journey with me. I AM SUPER EXCITED TO EMBARK UPON MY OWN JOURNEY WITH PLANET FITNESS.

Excellent Gym with Amazing Staff!

I can’t say enough good things about this gym, especially the staff! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and supported. The trainers and front desk team are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to help. Whether it’s offering advice on workouts, helping with equipment, or just providing encouragement, they genuinely care about the members.

The facility is always clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything you need for a great workout. The positive atmosphere and attentive staff make it a place I actually look forward to coming to each day.

Only complaint would be that I have gone in multiple times and have been faced with 5-7 employees all crowding the front desk staring at you as I you walk in and no one greets you, you’re just met with stares. I was planning on using planet fitness for the winter months. So I purchased the black card so they wouldn't charge me when I canceled the membership when it warmed up. Five weeks later I was charged 49.00 for their annual fee, somehow they conveniently didn't tell me there would be a 49 dollar annual fee 5 weeks after i signed up or I wouldn't have joined.I also wasn't real found of them being able to take money from your account when they want. I then tried to pay cash and was told they don't take cash. I was thinking maybe there she can't figure it out. SCAM is the only thing I can think of.

Just started at planet fitness to workout with some family and friends and since going the staff are super friendly and helpful...place is always clean .only thing I'd change is some disinfectant wipes vs the spray and paper towels to wipe down equipment...That's pretty much it it is a very good place to frequent rather you are a beginner or advanced in the fitness world...keep helping people change their lives guys n gals!!!

I downgraded my membership . They illegally charged me the 22.99 for the black card . I called them to have them make sure the account was correct and get my money back . They hung on me . I would never recommend this planet fitness to anybody . They are crooks . Be sure to protect yourself when dealing with them . Not a very friendly atmosphere and very bad customer service . First time checking a planet fitness out. Very cool place plenty of machines of all kinds. I warmed up on a recumbent cycle then hit the 30 minute circuit. The 30 minute workout course was great can really feel it.

I've been going there for 6 months. The facility is clea. The staff friendly. Other members don't care what you look like or watch yiu work out. The machines work well - except the ellipticals stop if you move your legs slowly. The massage chairs and beds are nice. I've never used the tanning beds. For the price - about a dollar a day when you factor the yearly fee - it's worth it.
