It's actually the first place in the area that I've found I like to work out at... At the times or day I typically exercise, the crowds are pretty minimal, and even at peak times the building is large enough that things don't feel cramped. The day staff (at least) is excellent (friendly and hard-working) and all machines function and are well-maintained. As well, the floors are vacuumed consistently enough where everything appears cleanly and orderly. Also, this PF has a lot of treadmills and quite a few ellipticals, which makes rush hours much more pleasant.

First time here last night and let me tell you it was excellent! Amazing customer service. My guest i brought with forgot his phone and had a new number yet they were still determined to get him in, they were very nice and worked a way to get him signed up quickly. I had blast working out and I'm excited for my fitness journey. Very easy to sign up, no hassle. You can purchase a membership on their website, after that download the Planet fitness app and you check in with that, you can purchase drinks through your account and all in all it was a great expirence! Highly recommend!

I really loved this gym I’ve been going for a few years to this location, it is very clean but SO many machines are broken. They only have 2 stair masters and both are broken one smith machine is broke and the hydro chairs.. like come on people pay a monthly fee and half the machines are not working makes me want to cancel here. Is it that hard to call out someone to fix them it’s been months and now no stair master maybe get more machines if you can’t keep up on fixing the 2 you have. The ab machine is broken to! I’ve never seen so many out of service machine what’s going on here? Pretty dissatisfied

Very friendly people at the desk. I love the Tootsie rolls but only the chocolate ones I get them on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. They keep me going very clean. And I like that nobody hits on you. It’s not competitive love the equipment very easy to learn to use. The free weights are also excellent. Wish there was more of them. And I love the 30 minute workout unit.

Planet Fitness Woodstock has been pivotal in my health journey. I had weight loss surgery 4 months ago and despite being a former athlete, I was terrified to go back to a gym after so many years. PF Woodstock’s staff has been wonderful; friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The facility is clean, easy to navigate, and I love the black card zone…all at a price that makes it much more affordable/accessible than other gyms. I’m down 80lbs and I couldn’t have done it without PF Woodstock!

I have had my membership on freeze for several months and decided yesterday that I would stop by to cancel. The person that assisted me told me that it had been canceled. I called this morning to find out that my membership had not been canceled, so I had to return to the location to cancel again!

This is very inconvenient and your employees should know how to properly provide good customer service! Good customer service should not include your members or past members to have to travel to your location twice to cancel.

You need to do a better job at training your employees. I am utterly disappointed in the services that I received!

Even though it maybe one of the smaller of the Planet Fitness in the McHenry County area it is one of my favorites. This is due to the layout of equipment and that the cable machines are the most up to date in the area, the Smith machines are truly vertical style, and the 30 for 30 room has great steps and the layout works great for that room. It also is the only one in the area with a true TRX station with Bosu equipment.

I moved out of state and tried to cancel my membership over the phone and they said I have to send a letter in the mail or come in when I live 5 hours away now because they can't prove it's me over the phone. When I questioned why I can't send an email canceling the general manager said "how would we know it's really you." I don't know, maybe it's because the email I'd be sending it from is the same my account is under. How is a letter in the mail proof that it is me? They just make it as hard as possible to cancel your membership on purpose to keep scamming money out of you. Did you know in California and Florida you can cancel your membership online? Don't sign up for a membership here.

It's never packed and the staff is very nice. They are always cleaning and the facility is well maintained. I go around 730-830 every morning and have never had to wait for a machine or had any kind of problem. By far the nicest, most affordable gym in Woodstock.

This was a really good gym at one time! But now I am very disappointed in how things here are! I as well as most I'm sure that come here In the early hours when they open. Are very tired of this gym not being open when they state they will be! We as members get up early to workout before work. We can get here early so why can't their staff or their manager? Under the former manager this never happened! But with the new management this gym has lost its appeal to myself and I'm sure other members. I really am not sure if I should cancel my membership here and go to another gym in the area that is more reliable. I loved working out here for a few years. But now I think it's time to try somewhere else...

The gym is very clean and staff are friendly. It can get pretty crowded when it comes to the free weights, but the cardio machines are very open. Very satisfied for the price.

Jessie (manager) is welcoming, cute, and speaks clearly.

My two concerns though and I'd hope the management team would consider:

1) the music is VERY loud in this gym, especially considering how relatively small the building is for the planet fitness traffic. They should turn it down a tad since most people listen to their own music. It should be loud enough to listen to if desired, but shouldn't be a competition for your own headphones.

2) there's no fans in the building. Literally zero fans on the ceiling, like other planets have. They should consider getting them installed because it gets pretty hot in that gym compared to other locations. Even during winter, it's hot in there. I know it's costly to install, but it would be great to have that subtle breeze, especially during summer.

This gym is clean and the staff are somewhat friendly. They'll greet you, but never say anything else after that, such as when you're leaving. My husband and I have been going here for a few months now and my biggest complaint is the lack of mask enforcements... There are so many people (primarily near the free weights) that don't wear masks. Guys will walk around with no mask at all, like not even under their chin temporarily - none! I noticed some of the guys wear hoodies with their hoods up and they tend to be the ones that don't wear masks the most. I would imagine they're trying to hide it?? Not everyone cleans their equipment either, which is kind of annoying and there is no monitoring for it.

Staff are seen walking around cleaning, yet there are always a handful of people not wearing a masks every time we go here. Why are they not saying anything??

Probably the worst gym experience. Employees are rude. Management ineffective. Ownership non-existent. There are other gym choices in Woodstock, support another business. The also do not follow Planet Fitness's mantra of judgement free zone. It is typical to see many wearing muscle tee's or "lunks" as they are referred to by Planet Fitness. Go Somewhere Else!

For 10 dollars a month this gym is perfect, that being said you’re only paying 10 dollars so they won’t have top notch equipment. For what it’s worth it’s overall a pretty good gym, staff is friendly other members are friendly and it’s never too crowded.
