About the Club

Being in shape comes down to Consistently Eating & Working Out correctly. The Key here is consistency and that’s exactly where most fall short. POE is a BIO-HACK in the fitness industry allowing safe eccentric training. POE members can get a full body workout in around 10 – 15 min that is the equivalent to working out over an hour using traditional equipment. Our muscles are 40% stronger in the lowering (eccentric) movement than the raising (concentric) part of the movement. You simply can’t work to your max potential with traditional equipment safely. There are no weights involved with POE so it is safe for everyone. POE STRONG is one of four places in IL to offer a BIOHACK in Cardio called CAR.O.L. (Cardiovascular Optimization Logic).

I have been going to POE for nearly two years now and am extremely impressed and satisfied with my results and my experience. I would strongly recommend this program for those who have challenges maintaining consistency with traditional gym or at home exercise programs. The efficiency of the program and the flexibility of being able to book an appointment on-demand as my schedule changes throughout the week has been invaluable. I would also recommend this program to those who have chronic injury or are looking to build strength as part of their recovery from an injury. In my experience the program is very adaptable and can be customizable to meet individual needs and training goals. All of the trainers are great too!

Poe has been the best workout, I have ever had! My issue with traditional gyms has been its time consuming, with very little results, POE is 15mins and I have gained so much upper body strength, without bulk and as a a female this is important. Before POE I couldn't lift a 40lbs bag of dog food, now I can not only lift it, but don't need help pouring into the container. Also without going on some crazy diet, I'm leaner, having been single # sizes all my life, then ballooning to a tight 14, with adding POE 2-3X per week, and one lifestyle change, I not only feel better, I look better, I'm no longer bloated and in pain. The 1:1 training is fantastic, everyone gets we don't all have the same goals, and everybody is different, oh and I haven't mentioned CAROL, this is a AI driven bike, and you can get the equivalent of the 45min run in 15mins. The space is clean, welcoming, and you really feel like all the trainers listen. It doesn't matter if you are young, middle age, or a senior, you can do this workout, the only thing stopping you, is you.

No frills and very reasonably priced gym. Unlike bigger name brands, I'm never fighting for machines or being pressured into expensive annual fees. You can do anywhere from month-to-month, to 3 month, 6 months, or a year and there's no hassle. Gym is small but the quality of clientele speaks for itself-- from sports celebrities and Rolls Royce drivers, down to high school students and retirees. All are welcome at POE Strong Barrington.

I've been going to POE for about 10 months now and have never felt stronger! Doing a 10 minute workout at POE feels more effective than lifting weights for 45 minutes. I love how quick it is and how effective it is without being hard on your joints. Because it is so quick, I also love that I can bring my kids with me if I need to!

Having been out of the work out world for way too long due to back injuries, I tried POE STRONG at the suggestion of a friend. Within a week of 15 min eccentric exercises, I felt as strong if not stronger than before I had to limit my workout activities. The back pain I experienced before POE STRONG is diminishing as my core gains incredible strength in such a short time! Additionally the Carolle Bike gives me a 15 minute fat burning cardio workout that would normally take me 45 minutes to achieve. It’s counterintuitive, but it works! Thank you Dave and Candace and your dedicated staff for getting me back to a healthy routine. My kids have taken notice too! 💪🏻

Loving these workouts. Visible results in a couple of weeks. No one has time to workout anymore. Commutes are painfully long in this city & they eat up valuable time that could have been used to workout. Now, you have an option that focuses on building some muscle mass. We have all heard of , "working the negative," in weightlifting. This is where you can do that and do it quickly. Come in for a free trial and you'll see. Highly recommended!

I've been a POE client for nearly six months now, and I can't help but to go almost daily. The trainers (Dave, Waide) are kind and personable. The facility is clean and safe with sterile wipe-downs in between every client. But most of all, the results! In a five to ten minute session three times per week, you will notice yourself toning up and losing weight, while feeling stronger with more energy. I highly recommend taking advantage of the three free trials, it will get you hooked and on the road to being POE STRONG.

At first I was skeptical, but members in my family had tried it and swear by it so I thought, why not? It’s free my first 3 times. So I ended up doing this 5 minute workout and felt like I did work at the gym for hours! I woke up this morning and my whole body is so sore in the best way. Definitely worth a try.
