We did tumbling and swim classes here all summer and celebrated our son's birthday here (jungle package for kids 0-6). Both experiences were great and I can't recommend the birthday party enough. Such a good value and what a way to spend a Saturday afternoon with his friends!

In the Ninja Warrior Training, the don't adjust the bars for the arm reach of the kids in the class. They are just always on the same position. The kid feels defeated, whereas if the bar was closer, they would be able to reach.....and feel better about accomplishing the task.

Had my son’s 5th birthday party here and it was so easy! The staff did all the setting up and shuffling the kids to the next activity, honestly it couldn’t have gone better. Love that we got in and out and the kids all had a blast ❀️

If I could give zero stars I would. My daughter was removed from pride due to abusive coaching techniques being used. My daughter was on the gymnastics team and after multiple witnessed occurrences I removed her from the gym. These have since been reported. I attempted to leave on good terms simply stating the pressure was too much for my daughter at the time. Coaches then began telling her former teammates that she had a β€œmental illness” as to why my daughter would not be returning to the gym. I quickly addressed this with the owner. I was never apologized to, never even a phone call. I spent thousands of dollars at the gym yearly and how I have been completely ignored is unbelievable.I would never recommend the gymnastics program at this gym to anyone.

My daughter does gymnastics at this gym and we both love it! Such a big difference from other gyms in the area! We decided to have her birthday party here this year and it was so much fun! We had 22 kids from ages 2-17 and all of them raved about how much fun they had! Great staff, great atmosphere, and very clean!

We don't do gymnastics, but we had a birthday party for our 9 year old at Pride. They were AMAZING! It was so nice to have up to 20 kids at a reasonable price, no clean up, and lots of fun for the kids. They recently added a "ninja" area which my son thought was really cool. I'd highly recommend this place. They also had excellent communication before and after the party.

This place is amazing ! Huge variety of classes, days and time. Super accommodating to help you find a class and switch if it wasn't the right fit. Also amazing staff that help encourage the kids and bring them out of their shell. All three of mine go here and I love watching them learn new skills and grow even through the hard things

My 4 year old has been going here a few months doing the explorers class in the jungle (the pre school area). She absolutely loves it. I love that they change up the set up every couple weeks to keep it new and exciting. My daughter has learned a lot and gained a ton of confidence through this program. And it tires her out nicely :) I will say that the level of instruction given by different coaches seems to vary widely. In just the few months we've been there she had several different coaches filling in so we have seen a handful of styles. They've all been nice enough, but some seemed super uninterested. In particular one only played on her phone nearly the entire time never giving more than super basic instructions which was really frustrating. I know it's "just pre-schoolers" and can get boring to watch the same thing over and over, but I had expected a little more effort. On the other hand, she has had a few others who were absolutely amazing and actually helped teach the kids what was expected and how to improve (which is what I was expecting).

As a parent of a young child I really love that we are allowed to observe the classes because I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving her without a parent at this age. The ladies at the front desk have also been super friendly and helpful when I have any questions. And when I signed up online to start I didn't explicitly select the new member special so I figured I missed out on that promo, but they caught it and adjusted our payment the second month which was a nice surprise.

An amazing gym with a coaching staff that truly cares about its athletes...all of them not just a select few. So glad I brought my daughter here.

They do not move students up. They charge good money and do nothing but cartwheels. The have favorites. But on the other hand the girls at the desk are super nice and helpful. Unless your child is popular and excepted socially I would not recommend.

My experience with Pride of Illinois when it came to my children I had there is this. At first we loved this place, loved the coaches my children had, felt that we mattered. One of my children left the program due to an auto injury and was talked negatively about by her "teammates" who forgot to remove her from their "group chat". This of course did hurt, but wasn't enough to make a big deal out of, or make the other child not be in the program. Then as time went on my other child started to not feel the same about the program and felt maybe it was time to look elsewhere for a better fit. It seems to be a great place provided you do not expect your children to advance and possibly move on. We felt we had to hide certain things when it came to what my child did, like visit another gym, or go to an open gym at another facility or school, we also felt any issues we had we could not freely speak to management or coaches regarding them. Seems some coaching may have been done through fear, which was a huge turn off for us. My child felt as though they could not speak up about any matter without being in "trouble", not sure of another way to put that, that is how my child explained it to me. The moment they feel your child may move on you are treated in a way different manner. Up to your child no longer being welcomed there, when exact same scenario happens with another child and they are welcomed to the facility. I realize favorites will happen anywhere, but would prefer it not be as obvious. They may want to advise on advertisements regarding open gyms, that children from other gyms, are not welcomed to attend Pride of Illinois and make that consistent with all kids, not just pick and chose which ones are allowed to attend and which ones are not. This spills onto the athletes and causes them to also be negative to other athletes that may no longer be a part of the Pride of Illinois program. I would say this place is good for your younger kids, but once they are a little older and moving up in skills this may no longer be the place for them. We didn't hate our experience here, but at the end we also didn't love it. If we had to do over again, I would still have sent my children here, but would have moved the one that remained to another gym once their skills advanced and basically outgrew what is offered at Pride. I feel bad and almost compare it to if I let my child repeat 5th grade even though they passed with all A's just because I liked the teacher. I wish I would have read a post similar to this prior, so I hope being honest here helps others to make the right choices.
