What can I say, I wish there was a hundred star reviews!!! Ed/Pulse Owner and Trainer is a spectacular person… Personality, Communication Skills, Knowledge, Attention, Ability to get the Motivation out of someone is above par!!! And his assistant trainers he brings on board are kept to his standards also… Whether it’s you or your kid that needs physical training of any sport (mine swimming) he meets those needs and listens to your concerns… Plus, if your child has a hard time responding to certain coaches they will have no problem with Ed and his group… Trust me, I know… Beyond stellar!!! Absolutely gem of a find in New Lenox.

I cannot say enough about the high quality character, integrity & involvement of the trainers at Pulse! Coach Ed & Coach Casey are invested in you from the minute you walk in the door, to the minute you leave. They never quit and refuse to let you quit on yourself either. When you train with Pulse, you train with talent and the coaches soon feel like inspirational relatives. I chose this place for trainers for my son but it never felt like a traditional gym. These gentlemen worked with my son on such a personal level, they now feel like family. Please consider Pulse for your wellness journey, you will not be disappointed.

After injuring both shoulders (two torn labrum, no surgeries), taking a seven-year break from structured workouts, losing muscle, gaining weight, and being in pain daily, I found Pulse.
Pulse is an investment; one that has paid dividends for me. The personalized workouts Ed builds and training Casey provides push me to perform and get stronger. Ed’s past sports injuries and recovery means he structures workouts with intention; Casey and I don’t ignore my injuries, we strengthen muscle groups around my injuries. After trusting Ed and Casey and their process, I’m strong enough to do pushups without pain! Daily pain is a thing of the past, I’m gaining strength, and my clothes fit better. This place is a game changer! I’ve been dealing with a condition that was really holding me back, but thanks to Ed and Casey, I’m getting my strength and mobility back. They’ve built awesome routines that push me in the best way. The workouts are tough, but super motivating and I actually look forward to them! I feel stronger every week and love the energy here. After cancer diagnosis, and having to undergo various treatments, hormone therapy had the worst impact on my body. I lost my balance significantly, gained weight, and lost most of my muscle mass. Although this was a major setback in my life, I knew I needed to change. My daughter has gone to Ed Knoblock for the past 3 years, and has experienced various weight training, while still maintaining athleticism with coach K. I reached out to him, knowing that he would be able to help me reach my goals through a very hard milestone. Not only has my balance gotten better, but I have also lost significant amounts of weight, and learned how to move my body in more manageable and effective ways. Ed Knoblock continues to push me to keep going in the weight room, and is understanding of everyone’s challenges.

Went to Pulse to train for my CPAT which is a national firefighter physical exam and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to train. The owner wrote up a program for me as well as simulated an obstacle course that mimicked the cpat. Incredibly professional and knowledgeable. My form improved immensely and two weeks later I passed the cpat with ease. Very thankful for Pulse!

We are from Florida and were coming to New Lenox for a family wedding for 2 weeks. I found Pulse online..... I was looking for a place to (1) work on speed, agility and strength with my son who plays varsity basketball, AND (2) do a fun workout with my 10 and 13 year old sons. PULSE is awesome. I wish we lived here to continue working out with them. My boys love it and Blake and Ed are so knowledgeable. Where we live, this kind of training is much more expensive. So glad we found Pulse!! I started going to Pulse almost 3 years ago because I decided that it was time to invest in my health. I chose Pulse because the gym was the only one in New Lenox, at the time, and they were willing to meet me at 4:45 AM and commit to my goals and accommodate my work schedule.
I wanted a meaningful work out in a timely manner with no disruptions.
The trainers have had no issues meeting my needs and I could not be more happy with the results.
I have since gotten a physical and blood tested and I am in the best shape I have ever been in my life and actually got a health insurance premium deduction due to my blood work.
I am never bored, I have never plateaued and I continue to be impressed with the strides in my performance and confidence.
I would recommend Pulse to anyone that wants a "No nonsense" impactful, informative and killer training session.

My two sons, Zack 15 & Vinnie 13 have been going to Pulse since the beginning of the year.
They absolutely love going and we can already see the improvement in them both physically as well as mentally. The trainers are professional and encouraging. Ed has a great facility with new equipment and awesome trainers.
We've been to other places for strength & conditioning and Pulse is by far the best around.

My kids would definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants to get in shape and improve themselves .

I decided to go to Pulse when I stopped progressing with my fitness goals on my own. I had the motivation, but I didn't know nearly enough that I needed to take the next few steps.

When a friend recommended Pulse to me, I was a little taken aback by the increase in price from my current membership, but after I was brought in for a couple of days to lift weights with Coach Ed and the others on the powerlifting team, I immediately found the immense value in the environment that Pulse has. I've never seen the type of consistent progression in overall fitness than I am experiencing now that I'm going. Another great aspect is that if I do something incorrectly, I will always have someone to point it out and correct me before it becomes a habit.

Just like you should never trust a skinny chef, you can't trust a skinny personal trainer. There are no problems with that aspect. All of their trainers have proven themselves time and time again in the gym. After months of training, I'm still amazed at the feats that are achieved every time.

Beyond strength training, I've seen many others, kids and adults alike all with different goals being trained by Ed and his trainers. When I see them once, I know that I'll see them again. There are no limits to the type of person that goes to Pulse, whether they're a 12 year old who wants to improve sports performance, or they're an adult looking to lose weight and get healthy, Ed will provide a friendly and encouraging atmosphere tailored to helping them get the best out of their experience.

I wish I had known about Pulse when I first starting taking interest in my health, I'd be a lot farther along than I am today if I had gone from day one. It really takes personal training to a whole new level.
