Pure Barre Hyde Park is a wonderful, fun, friendly and rewarding community that I am so thankful to be a part of. The instructors and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The different class formats truly work you and offer a fun, full body workout. The studio is cute and clean. And my fellow barre-goers are some of the nicest people you’ll meet. Truly love this studio and couldn’t recommend it more!

I never thought I’d get into barre, but I’m so glad I gave Pure Barre a try! I originally signed up for an Engage class and an 8-class pack because the studio was close by, and now I’m hooked. I love that there are early morning classes that fit into my schedule, and the variety of class types keeps things fresh and challenging. The instructors are incredibly positive and motivating, offering great corrections and encouragement throughout.

Pure Barre-Hyde Park

I have been going to Pure Barre-Hyde Park for approximately 4.5 years now. I have truly enjoyed taking classes here. There are amazing teachers that teach different formats, and there are a lot times that you can go during the day, early morning and through until the evening . The new owners have really done an amazing job with decorating and sprucing up the studio. It's very bright, colorful and cheery in the entrance and Barre reception area. The owners have chosen exceptional teachers to help us through the different types of classes that Pure Barre offers: Align, Empower, Define and Classic Barre. These are all great classes to take. Each class is 50 minutes long, with a professional instructor that teaches and corrects your form. The studio is really worth trying, there really is something here for everyone. Lift, tone and burn you'll feel the difference after a class or two. Come meet the Barre instructors and take a class you'll love it!

There aren’t too many places where I’m guaranteed to have matching socks on but Pure Bare Hyde Park is absolutely one of them. Mostly because they sell them and the mood lifting sticky socks, amazing patrons, good music and fun instructors are always a highlight for me. I’ve been a member for years and really impressed with the quality of workout and consistency I’ve received even four years later. Totally worth checking out and trying what they have to offer. From pregnancy to postpartum, marathon training and everything I’ve tried in between, so happy to have such a great studio near me.

I came to Pure Barre Hyde Park about a year ago , I was managing both an ACL and a PCL knee tear, and I really wanted a rigorous yet low impact workout to replace what I have been doing. Pure Barre Hyde Park turned out to be the place for me!!! Even though I’m almost 250 classes in I still feel engaged, challenged and inspired to build a stronger body. I have also found that many of the exercises I do in physical therapy are complemented well by what I do in Barre, which is a plus! I also love the cultural diversity and inclusivity apparent! Try out Barre, you may struggle at first but stay the course and you will become hooked…

Pure Barre Hyde Park is a fantastic community! The teachers and members all contribute to an environment where you can get your best workout and focus on being your best self. The different class formats ensure a full-body workout throughout the week. Highly recommend coming to join this community if you want to both workout and have fun.

Love they opened a location closer to me. Teachers and staff are great. While I have taken classes at other pure barre locations, I love how the teachers push me to work harder and assist their students work on their form.

I attended an Engage intro class yesterday and it was wonderful! Jackie was a very kind instructor and even though it was a free class she still gave such awesome encouragement and personal feedback.

Update: took several more classes with different teachers, some better than others. I couldn't commit to a membership because of frequent travel. The amount of emails, texts, and phone calls once you take an Engage class.... Just isn't worth it. Had one of their staff call me at 7pm twice in a row so I picked up and asked if there was a problem. Did I miss a payment or something important/time sensitive? No! She then said she forgot her reason for calling and had to check her list or something. So basically she's sitting there making calls to get folks to buy more classes. Fine, but don't call me twice in the evening and maybe know who and why you're calling before you pick up the phone.

I love coming to this place. I feel better once I leave there, and I see results from it. ASHA is the best and the other trainers I haven't met them yet. I love this place.

I've attended PB Hyde Park for just over a year now. I used to run, but had a variety of injuries so was looking for an alternative. This has been a great fit for my needs - the classes are as intense as you want them to be, are always on time (starting and ending), it is a supportive, small group environment, and there is a lot of variety in the class offerings (weights, stretching, classic, etc). The instructors are all very good and I now feel stronger than I have in several years as the workouts are very comprehensive. It took several classes to really get in the groove and understand the flow.

Went using a classpass: you need GRIP SOCKS for the class, they sell them for $19 in the store and you can only attend one class using the class pass trial.
The class was good, however i believe 19$ for socks is way too much

This is a poorly managed studio that does not care about how members actually use the studio. They assume that you would read through and remember the initial email of cancellation policy when you signed up for the trial month, and the studio do not bother to send one single text message or email to check in or remind you that they have been charging you all the time. When I finally realized that my credit card has been getting charged after two months of not using the studio due to my herniated disc pain, they simply responded quoting their 30-day cancellation policy. Do not care at all. In addition, I experienced one last-minute class cancellation (30min before the class starts) and wrong charge amount. This is unfortunately the worst gym studio and PB experience I ever had.

Great instructions and instructor. The beginner's class was very welcoming and you could tell the curriculum was tailored to various experience levels. The instructor paid attention to each person present to give personalized tips and assistance which helped make a medium sized class feel small and personalized

The facility and equipment are very nice, clean, and you can visibly see they take pride in sanitation. Everything you will need for the class is available for free with the class or available to purchase before class. My only complaint is that there are no showers.

You can take a free beginner class--which is great. In taking that class you get access to special discounts that make the normal class packages a bit more affordable. However, the class packages are a bit pricey if you're not looking to spend over 100 bucks a month.
Overall, loved the experience and the customer service. Looking forward to trying again.

I started coming to Barre classes at this location since July. All of the instructors I have had so far have been amazing: they're professional, enthusiastic, and positive throughout each class. You feel very sore initially, but then you build up your muscles quickly and feel stronger and more confident. And, you can adjust the difficulty of each move according to where your fitness journey is and how you physically feel that day. It's the best class exercise I've ever done and I am very thankful to have found this place.

The workouts were perfect. The only two things i'd change is to not use gendered language since people have different gender identifications. Also, maybe reduce the amount of people that can be in a class. For part of the class I had to stop doing certain floor exercises because of lack of space in between people next to me.

Although the sessions are great, I would ONLY purchase a membership if you are committed to the classes. The process to cancel a membership is way too inconvenient for me. An individual should be able to simply call and cancel or freely do so from their app, but that's not the case. First it must be a 30 notice to cancel. Then you have to go through the facility's general manager via email. After waiting for their response you must submit another form to finalize it.

I tried the foundations class and it blew me away! It was challenging yet motivating enough to keep me going even with the modification steps. I will go back once I lose more weight. The moves were a little too advance for my size.
