EVERYTHING I EVER wanted in a hot yoga class, was here!
- On Classpass (I'm visiting Chicago)
- Dark, sexy vibe in the room
- Pick your level of heat - the deeper into the room you go, the hotter it is
- Candles everywhere
- Mirrors everywhere to check form
- Massages during class!
- Freshly laundered face, shower, AND mat towels provided!
- Mats provided!
- Mat clips for your mat towel!
- Incredible playlist!!
- Movement is cued to the beat of the music
- Instructor (Mimeki) was incredible at cuing new positions. She's also a dancer, and I love classes taught by dancers - they know how to choose music that you can move to, and the flows are always so fluid.
- Adjustments given for most poses to adapt to your level of ability
- Slow the first time through a flow, then quickly for a few flows!
- COLD EUCALYPTUS TOWEL AT THE END
I was in heaven. I'm moving to Chicago, and I'm so happy this is here!!!

Never thought I’d be a hot yoga girl — the idea of working out in that kind of heat honestly sounded miserable 😂 But after one class at Ritual, I was completely hooked (now I’ve done 20+). The atmosphere, the music, the instructors… it’s all such a vibe. The heat hits in the best way possible and leaves your body feeling so good after.
Every class feels different but always grounding. I love that no matter your level, you can walk in and feel confident. It’s become one of my favorite parts of my week — I always leave feeling lighter, stronger, and a little more centered. 🖤🔥

I took 2 morning classes back to back & it was exactly what my traveling body & mind needed. The studio is dimly lit with candles, mats & towels provided is very much so appreciated & class itself was great. Jake’s cues were so clear & fluid we never had to look up to see where we were supposed to be & kept our minds on the mats with his mindset alignments. Thank you again, until next time Chicago <3

Wow, what a beautiful gift of a space. I am not local, but I travel often; and instead of physical souvenirs, I collect yoga classes- I’ve been to them all over the US. This class with is ranked top 5 for me. 💛💛💛💛💛 The people here are guided and gifted and they are standing and sharing that and it’s seen. Extremely welcoming and safe space. Thank you 🙏🏼 namaste Radha xx

They didn’t have instructors showing the poses, they just called them out. They call out certain levels for the poses but don’t effectively demonstrate the poses. The mat towels did not stay in place (one of my mat clips was not even working). The yoga instructors themselves were sweet though and they were helpful with adjustments. Studio itself is not really that nice it’s kind of just like a heated attic. I wouldn’t pay to go here if you want to actually learn because YouTube videos are free.

I really love Ritual, especially the restore classes, BUT: I left my water bottle behind and called right away to ask them to set aside for me, to which the person working said they would / agreed to. I then went by every day or 2 for nearly 2 full weeks and there was never anyone there to help me find it OR the door was locked (even when I looked at the schedule ahead of time and they should have been open). Honestly, really disappointing because I like this studio and the teachers, but I no longer feel like my belongings are safe here :/

This place is AMAZING. I started with the 10-day unlimited introductory pass for $75, and it was a perfect way to determine if this was a good fit for my practice (spoiler: it was!). It is super convenient that everything is included, so the only thing to worry about it showing up on time. I bring my own water bottle, to fill at their water bottle filling station, but they have bottles to borrow if you don't want to even worry about that.
The classes are ALL amazing (I am partial to the Yin), as are ALL of the instructors. I have been going almost daily for 2 months, and cannot think of a single negative thing. All of the instructors are SO incredibly nice, genuine, supportive, and accommodating. The studio is so clean, well-maintained, and truly has everything you need. I also appreciate that it isn't "too big", as well as the private 30 minute session per month with my unlimited membership.
Being a 7 minute walk from the Red Line and 30 second walk from the Brown/Purple Line, it is a super convenient option for those of us who prefer not to drive and worry about parking (though there is always street parking available, from what I can tell).

My favorite yoga studio out of the countless I've tried! Their flows are definitely challenging, but that's part of the appeal. If you're new to hot yoga, I believe they recommend starting with their yin class to get a feel for the heat. They offer various levels of postures, so there's something for everyone from beginners to advanced yogis. A special shoutout to Nicole K – she's very kind and an amazing teacher. One of the best parts- the mini massage and cold eucalyptus towel.

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a new yoga experience! I hadn't been very into yoga prior to joining Ritual and now I've been coming consistent for two years. It's very different than any other yoga studios I've been too, it's dark, it's loud, it's intense and all the instructors are great! The yin class is also amazing if you're looking for something with a slower pace. Either way you're going to get a great sweat in.

Absolutely LOVE Ritual. My Mondays and Fridays at Ritual have become parts of my week that I really look forward to. Alyx is an exceptional teacher. The flows that she creates are so intentional and string together so beautifully (every. single. time.). She never misses a beat. Not to mention, she is just a warm, welcoming face to see at 5:45am! Ritual has done a wonderful job offering a variety of classes for those that want to slow down with “yin” and for those that want to push it with “hot yoga”. There is so much opportunity to grow in the areas most important to you. I cannot recommend Ritual Yoga more!

This is not a yoga studio in the sense that you are practicing yoga. It is in a pitch black room with some candles in the wall for minimal light. Makes it incredibly hard to balance. A lot of counting to the beat of the music, similar to an 80's aerobics class. Instuctor is kind of yelling (think it's supposed to be motivating maybe?). Left 20 mins in. And a drop in is $34, which is STEEP for not knowing what you're getting into. Would not recommend to the person who is used to "regular" hot yoga or traditional yoga studios.

I scheduled a hot yoga class during a layover after a friend recommended it a year ago. I’ve been doing hot yoga for almost 20 years so I always love trying a new studio.
Mark Franklin Jr was my instructor. He greeted me at the door and gave me a tour. Your towel, mat and mat cover are included and they even have water bottles that you can borrow if needed. The room was dark and hot enough. There was a lesson about the asanas which I appreciated and there were mini-massages with nicely-scented oil before, during, and after with a little adjustment during the class. It’s all the things that I miss before COVID changed how some studios practice. A eucalyptus cold towel was given during Savasana and there was well-planned sequencing. It was at times a little fast for me because I get concerned about malaignment but overall, I really enjoyed it and look forward to returning when I’m in town again.

I’ve attended a series of classes at Ritual Hot Yoga and been a member for almost one year. I love all the instructors at Ritual Hot Yoga. Each one brings a unique energy to their classes, yet all share a deep knowledge of yoga and a genuine passion for teaching.
In addition, I can confidently say that it has been a life-changing experience. Since joining Ritual Hot Yoga, I have noticed significant improvements in my flexibility and mental clarity. The combination of heat and mindful movement has helped me to release tension and stress, leaving me feeling more balanced and rejuvenated.

Just moved to Chicago in May and was looking for a yoga studio to go to. I tried several of them around Chicago areas but this one is IT. My first impression arriving at this studio was - it is not like the other studios in town. They make it very welcoming and it feels like going to someone's home. They do not have reception counter... but simply ipads on the wall to check into the class. I thoroughly enjoy the fast pace hot yoga as well as the slower, deeper stretching hot yin yoga. Most places do not have hot yin yoga but this place does. I love how I started sweating but just simply sitting in the class waiting for it to start.
Love the instructors.
The cold eucalyptus towel at the end of the class is such a nice and thoughtful touch! Highly recommend this place to everyone.

Even for seasoned yogis and fitness class takers, it can be intimidating to try somewhere new. Not only is Ritual worth trying, it is worth staying! From the first moment I walked in the door--greeted by the truly kind and respectful teachers and assistants, heard some RnB tunes, and smelled incense--I was hooked.
I love both of the main classes: Ritual Hot Yoga and Ritual Yin. And while I'm sure folks have class/teacher preferences based on their personal vibes, truly all of the teachers are excellent and I encourage folks to take them all to find what speaks to them. I'd say each teacher has their own style for their flows, but there is serious Ritual consistency in their teaching, vibes, and attitudes (which speaks to how intentional this community is). Regardless of your teacher, classes follow the same general structure, are the same fabulously toasty temperature, offer hands-on assists and massages (which you can opt-out of if that's not your thing!), and include a cooling towel at the end. There are also regular "themed" Ritual Hot Yoga classes, which are all just so well done, and other workshops and events. The website and app are both great for navigating the schedule.
After a few months of buying class packs, I joined as a member for unlimited monthly classes and it has elevated my practice even further, as members are able to have 30-minute private sessions with a teacher EACH month, included with the membership. They further give new students a free 15-minute private lesson--even without unlimited membership--which is so cool and welcoming.
River North is my primary studio, but I have attended a class in Lakeview and it was fantastic. My friends who are regulars at the Lakeview studio also share my sentiments about Ritual!!
I could still write a full review just on how fantastic the music always is, but I'll end by saying that the Ritual studio is my favorite place to be in Chicago, and I have heard many other students and teachers say this too.

I went to two Yin classes during the Chicago Marathon weekend as part of my race prep and was totally wowed by the sense of inclusion and the quality of instruction. I've done a lot of hot yoga in my hometown, but this studio was much different. It is a smaller and more intimate space and I found the variations novel and challenging. Gamechanger. Ritual Hot Yoga is the best thing that has ever happened to Chicago, and to me. I started out with a 10 Day Unlimited Pass, which I recommend using first if it is your first time flowing at Ritual, and definitely try every teacher to see which styles connect best with you (they each flow uniquely and play different music) - you have got to try all the possibilities. The studio has gone out of its way to make sure that there's at least one style that works for everyone, doesn't matter whether you are advanced or a beginner.
After I tried the 10-pass, it was a no brainer for me, I knew that Ritual is where I wanted to be and new exactly which teachers I wanted to flow with, I've been a member for a little over one year now. I've tried all of the other yoga and dance studios across Chicago and New York and none of them have soul like this one, I can confidently say that with absolute certainty. Ritual truly has taken the yoga experience to an entirely new level, I feel like I'm in my own world when I'm flowing in my sacred space. It's the one thing I look forward to every day after working my very busy Data Science job, and I even started ditching my friends to come here because there's literally no other place I'd rather be. This is a solid community. The founders have gone out of their way to make sure that people have a magical experience, and the passion shows.
As part of the yoga experience: We always start with a meditation where we close our eyes and practice to be mindful (The "breath-to-beat" is timed perfectly), which helps to set the tone for the rest of class. The infrared-heated room is next level. Teachers bring their A-game. Lavender oil is provided at the beginning of class and then followed with a cold wet Eucalyptus face towel at the end of class during shavasana. If you don't want to be touched, just place your hand on your heart and you will be left alone - Ritual respects everyone's space. We are advised to stay quiet during all of class so that none of our spaces feel disrupted. You will leave the flow feeling beautiful, euphoric and sexy.
The studio offers showers, changing rooms, hair ties, water bottles, yoga mats, shower towels, hair spray, deodorant, sweat towels, a cute waiting area, private lessons, sound meditation workshops, member events. There's so much love, laughter and great energy in the air, you can just feel it from the people who have especially been attending for a while now, who have a great sense of appreciation for the experience.
The retreats are super awesome too, the last one was in Mykonos, Greece. I'm signed up for the next one in St. Lucia, can't wait. Sign me up for everything you got Ritual.
Good vibes only

Unfortunately this studio wasn’t for me. The staff are friendly and welcoming and it’s a nice space— I especially appreciate the clips every mat has for the yoga towels! However it was so hot that it really started to feel unpleasant and the flow we were led through was really fast and had limited modifications. I noticed almost half the class stopping and just standing there because they couldn’t follow along. That should be a sign to a skilled instructor that things need to be adjusted. We were also told to push through and wait to drink water which seems a little irresponsible to me.

Took seven classes here while visiting Chicago, and absolutely loved every one of them. They have a really figured out how to make the experience absolutely enjoyable. Everything from the candle lit space to the perfect heat and mind-bendingly solid instruction from positive teachers.
All you have to bring is your workout clothes because they have mats and mat towels for you. They’ve also got three showers and a couple of changing rooms and lockers all included in the price. Also lots of little amenities like hairdryers, razors, etc. so you can prep for your next destination after class.
I signed up for an intro special at $55 for 10 days unlimited. I didn’t see a traveler special on the website but the owner of the studio suggested I email them next time I’m in town.
Overall, these folks have it going on. If I lived in Chicago this would be my home studio. Hopefully they are successful in expanding across the country because they really do have it all figured out. Can’t wait to come back!

I took a late night Yin class to wind down from my busy work week, and was awestruck. Shelby created such a grounding experience, that I was able to focus on being present instead of reflecting on deadlines. She creates such a lovely atmosphere and the music played was impeccable. I booked a class shortly thereafter since the calm presence she creates melts my worries away.
The in person experience is beyond; gentle massages (optional) during the class, a cold towel laid on your eyes as the experience winds down, a shower (shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided), with the option of having a hot cup of tea while waiting for your ride energizes you for a most enjoyable evening well after you’ve left the studio.

The most horrible place in the name of yoga. Trust me, this place has nothing to do with yoga but the fad of yoga...they have silly lights, silly poses and instructions from worn out teachers who are just copy cats. Mind you, I came to this place because I found one of their teachers soliciting their studio at a different studio I go to which is actually sneaky and border line unethical...sending your teachers to take class at different different studios in the city of Chicago and then tarnish them in the locker room and invite them to their studio? Quiet sneaky wouldn't you say...Well I fell for it and it was a complete waste of time. I hope you don't.
Essentially they are about creating an illusion of yoga and but you won't get any real benefits of proper yoga practice...

I have been going to Ritual Hot Yoga for over a year now, and I still love it. I am a Member and go there as much as I can. I love so many things about this place; it's essentially my church, gym, and therapist all in one :)
They have water bottles, mats, mat towels, bath towels, and showers with toiletries... so all you really need to bring is yourself and whatever you are wearing. The staff is so encouraging and helpful, and they know what they are doing!
I like that it's in the dark, so I can just focus on myself and not subconsciously compare myself to others in the class. Also, the music is awesome, which allows your brain to forget all of the stresses of life, and just focus on breathing and getting stronger, focusing, etc. I highly recommend this place, can you tell that I am obsessed? :)

One of the best experience I’ve ever had in my life! Nice place, great people, clean, hard class, special perfumes and unforgettable sensations. I had a massage in the middle of the class. Amazing!

Using yoga in order to alleviate back pain and this studio makes everything convenient and easy. Great workout in general all in 50 minutes. I would recommend it to everyone.

The best yoga studio I've ever been to. I went for the first time in October and was immediately hooked, I became a member and have been one ever since. So many good things to say about this place:
1. The fast-paced yoga style that focuses on your breath with every movement is the most unique and greatest part of why I love this place. It is unlike any other studio I've ever been to.
2. The teachers are AMAZING. They know so much, they show you how to do basic poses correctly and are very welcoming to new yogi's (I was new when I started). My first class was with Nicole and her calm voice and inspiring words are a big part of why I was so hooked. All of the teachers are amazing at their job, don't be scared the first time you go because they make it really easy.
3. The facilities have everything you could ever need for class and you don't have to bring anything. The mats are already set up, they have towels, showers, face wipes, hair ties, tampons, hair dryer, straightener- literally everything. Makes your life so much easier.
Pro tip: introduce yourself to the concierge at the desk and say you are new when you get there. They will make sure to show you around and tell the teacher it is your first time.
Also - don't be intimidated after your first class! Especially if you see everyone around you doing handstands and crazy stuff. It takes TIME to learn these things and there are a lot of members or regulars in class that go every single day and have been working on those poses for months/years. Don't be afraid to ask questions, they are very open to new people and want people to learn.
Couldn't have a higher recommendation for this place - it is THE best.

Where I plateaued at other studios, Ritual after several months of practicing continues to diversify my practice and challenges me.
Modified for everyone’s individual level (beginner to advanced) you practice under dim candle lighting, with upbeat music synced to the vinyasa flow that changes daily. Staff and practitioners crest an upbeat and cool environment to practice.
Provided by the studio (no additional cost): towels, water, mats, post class chilled eucalyptus wash cloths make it incredibly convenient.

I am so happy I found Ritual. The teachers and assistants are so welcoming. I leave class feeling like I've gotten both a fantastic workout and a therapy session, and I crave it if I ever have to miss a day. I love that they provide high quality mats, towels, etc., and the opening and closing massages are the best treat ever. I never thought of myself as a yogi until I found Ritual, but can say my practice has grown immensely since I joined - thanks to the amazing hands-on (& non-intimidating) assists throughout class. I love this community so much <3

This place is like no other. It basically ruins every other yoga studio because you will just want to just come back to this space. It’s a great community to be apart of. Everything you need is included water, mat, towels, and lockers. The class itself is hot and challenging but very doable. I started as a total newbie like I had no idea what a proper downward dog looked like but I never felt judged. Teachers are always willing to help with form and anything you need. You have to try ritual!

This is my favorite studio that I have tried so far - had a goal to workout 3 x per week and I like it so much that it makes it easier. It is mostly high energy, but love the mix of stretching at the end and meditation in the beginning. I appreciate the assists during the practice and the class size is small that you get the benefit of them throughout the class!

Ritual is my favorite studio in Chicago.
I've been a member for a few months now, and if you're looking for a sweaty, challenging workout, this is the place to go! Plus the soundtrack is always amazing.
I love how they focus on a peak pose every week. The instructor talks you through the steps and levels so you can feel yourself improving throughout the week, and you know exactly what to do when you hear the pose come up in future flows.
My regular instructors are Nicole, Marissa and Michelle, and they are all fantastic!

I was looking for a new workout challenge and instantly got hooked with this hot fast paced yoga routine . Being new to yoga was challenging enough but the instructors are all nice and welcoming . Having them take pride in helping you master poses really inspires you to keep at it . I recommend more men to try it .

Ritual is amazing and, quite honestly, the best yoga studio I’ve discovered in the city.
The space is charming, has great amenities, and class size is capped, so you never feel the room is overly crowded and you’ve never tripping over other yogi’s to find a place in the room.
As beautiful as the studio is, the instructors really make the experience. If you take a few classes, it becomes quite obvious that this is a community of yoga professionals who are passionate about their practices and they genuinely want the students to grow. They teach you how to practice properly and, if you pay attention in class and put in the work, you’ll feel yourself advancing so quickly. It’s also delightful that mats and towel are provided (I especially love the cold towel at the end of class!).
There are always two instructors in the room who provide hands on adjustments, so if your alignment is off or if you are ready to advance to the next level, someone is there to guide you. As advanced as some of the students are, the studio is never intimidating and everyone is encouraging. If you listen closely to the instructors, can count to four, and remember to breathe…. you’ll do great!
Hot yoga isn’t for everyone, but this studio checks all the boxes. If you’re new to yoga or skeptical about the heat, give this studio a try. You’re in good hands with this crew

Thank you for responding to my review and offering a comp class. I am not interested at this time. I did raise my review to three stars because I hope you will not continue to make the shady enrollment decisions I experienced. I felt very mislead by your initial roll out. I believe you offered a free class and I was excited to try out the studio. But once I filled out all the online paperwork it required a purchase of classes without any mention of a promotion. The effort I went to made me feel like I was being tricked. I understand it was a way to get people into your system. And I received lots of e-mails pushing your studio after I signed up on your website even though I never opted into them. But, I did not like feeling tricked. It felt shady and like you could not rely on the quality of your classes to draw people in. I was really excited to try out a new studio, but my initial interaction left such a bad taste in my mouth and there are so many other great studios that I'm not interested in patronizing yours.

I took class with Irene this morning and Rachel was there to help with assists! First, this is different than any other class that I have ever taken but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
From my first time stepping into the studio I felt very welcomed. They gave me a tour because it was my first time there. They have everything - even free water if you forget yours and chapstick! How necessary right now?!
The studio itself is simple and beautiful. I love how mats are already there for you - because who wants to lug their mat around the entire day. Today we worked up to king pigeon. I loved it. I would say this is for anyone because they explain everything if you don’t know what you’re doing or lost someone is there to help out.
Class was simply juicy. The next time I visit Chicago I will be sure to stop in.
Thank you!

Please don’t give your business to a business that can’t tip food delivery drivers & stiff everyone that does services for them that require a lot of time & effort.....so cheap rude & disgusting. I have never been back & theres no way one can ever become successful by taking & keeping money that doesn’t belong to you

I've been a dedicated member of Ritual since they opened. The amenities, service, attention to detail, classes and instructors at this studio are all top-notch. Every instructor brings something unique to their classes and I really appreciate their dedication to their students. They really want you to improve, and trust me, you will! If you're looking for a new studio, Ritual has to be on your list. Plus, they have showers, towel service and they will even wash your sweaty yoga clothes and put them back in your personal locker. AMAZING. Thanks Ritual team, you guys are the best.

The best yoga for me... ever...
If you like heat, a fast pace, awesome music, candlelight, mixed routines, mixed levels and an added mindful insight to focus on each class you will probably love it here too.
The darkness of the room and the encouragement of the instructors help to make the class about yourself. Not about how you look in the mirror or what your next door neighbour is doing.
This style is something special and I am incredibly lucky to have stumbled across it. Julia, Michelle, Irene and Marissa are talented instructors.

Amazing studio and teachers! The flows are really well thought out and go along with your breath and beat. The candlelight and heat make for a very relaxing atmosphere. The teachers provide assistance and demo throughout. This studio also has literally everything you need so you can just show up. Definitely recommend checking this studio out regardless of yoga level or affinity.

Took my first class here today and LOVED it! Was greeted right away and the studio was beautifully clean - had all the amenities you could possibly want! Location is right at the Chicago brown line too! Kate & Michelle taught the class and were WONDERFUL - great with offering modifications as we went through the class. Super chill, inviting environment and a great workout!!

The class is a unique concept but the service and facilities are not quality. I tried a class, and ultimately wanted to try another however the second time i couldn’t get into the building. I tried to call but got hung up on and sent to voicemail! Don’t see them being here long unless they improve their experience. Which is unfortunate because I actually enjoyed the class.

I attended a class this morning and was blown away. The facility was immaculate, music on point, and both instructors gave clear instructions in a helpful and congenial manner! I'm a beginner, and Kate's guidance through the class was far superior compared to instructors at other studios I've been to. I appreciated the fact that every position had varying difficulty levels so I was able to challenge myself (not just sit in child's pose) while more advanced participants basically did headstands. The hour flew by. The complementary cold eucalyptus towel treatment at the end was a pleasant surprise :).
I'll be coming back.
