I've just started taking classes here in the past month - and I've fallen for this studio. I've been able to experience a group mat class and group equipment classes - and have found the teachers to be knowledgable, clear, and adaptable in their running of classes. Since the classes are on the smaller side, I've also appreciated the individualized feedback/attention that's possible. The pricing is also quite good!
The one downside is due to the size, group equipment classes can fill up fast, so it's not a studio that can necessarily be counted on to always have a weekly slot with your favorite teacher. But I've found opportunities to try other classes/teachers or attempt the waitlist to mitigate some of this.

I’ve had nothing but great & welcoming experiences at RP Moves! All the instructors have been helpful, patient, and encouraging, especially for someone who is a beginner in pilates. Unlike other gyms or studios that feel more exclusionary, this studio is accepting of everyone of all shapes and abilities. AND it’s always a great workout that helps me feel stronger & more in touch with my body!
I do agree with another reviewer regarding schedule. I would love to see more weeknight classes or early morning classes on weekdays. Since I’m in the office until 5pm it’s hard to make it to class as often as I would like, especially since weekend classes are always pretty full!

I love RP moves! It’s such a rare treat to find a place that approaches fitness/movement in such an accepting and affirming way.
My only gripe (truly) is about the way classes are scheduled. As someone who works every day until 5pm like a lot of people, it’s very rare to be able to attend class as there are usually no evening classes. Rarely (if ever) are there equipment classes in the evening. I would absolutely go more often if I could but there simply are little to no evening classes on the schedule. A lot of weekdays the latest class time is noon.

The reviews are right, very friendly and inviting. This was my first ever Pilates class and it was so beginner friendly, my instructor’s name was Paula and she was awesome! Will be going again!

My actual rating is 100/10! At first I was nervous about trying a new pilates class, but right away I felt at ease and can really feel the benefits of the workouts we do in class. Such a great studio that’s so welcoming to all. Thank you to the amazing instructors for all that you do!

This is an overdue review, I feel like I'm always catching up to life. I met Ame on the train and found out about RP Moves through her. I took my first class with Kate, and I cannot emphasize enough how caring, open, and comfortable this class was. If you are beginner to the practice, you'll be right at home, and if you are advanced, you will definitely be challenged. Love RP and love this practice at the very heart of it :) Hopefully I'll be popping by soon!

Wonderful, accessible, unfussy studio! I am easily intimidated by workout classes and fitness culture, but this is just fabulous.

I didn't give pilates a thought until I started thinking hard about my career in healthcare and my core being the literal backbone of this very physical work. A friend cajoled me into signing up for a class at Rogers Park MOVES and I've become religious in my attendance ever since. Ame teaches with such a warm approach and group classes here are dreamy: safe and nonjudgmental spaces to get your spine moving. I'm so thankful to have found a workout home here!

Congrats - you found the perfect neighborhood workout spot! I was NEW to pilates and a bit intimidated, but I felt right at home from the first session. I have a recently healed back injury, and Ame has been super thoughtful about offering tweaks to the workouts as I get back up to my normal level. I leave each session feeling stronger and taller (though sometimes exhausted!).
Classes are low key and friendly, in a bright, clean space. The studio is less than a block from the Morse Redline L station, and only a few blocks from busses on Ashland, Clark, and Sheridan.
One of the things I like most about Rogers Park MOVES is its Covid-19 policy: they require masking for everyone, every class. This might seem like a hassle, but I don't really notice the mask during class. And, it helps keep me and other immune compromised people safe as our community struggles to leave the pandemic behind. If you're looking for a Covid-safer place for group exercise, this might be the one!
Either way, do yourself a favor a sign up for a class!

Rogers Park Moves is a great little gem! As an out-of-towner trying to continue practicing during a quick visit to Loyola, I was able to get a wonderful workout with Ame. Ame listened to my situation and knew that exactly how to guide my session. She was challenging and considerate. Thanks Ame!
