Agree with other posts on charging members for issues in their IT system. I have been mischarged $50 dollars now as well as paid for an entire month and got none of my credits! They are completely unresponsive and when they are responsive they are rude and unhelpful. I’ve also tried to cancel my membership and they won’t cancel it or remove my credit card information. Wouldn’t recommend this location anymore. It’s a shame because their old management team was really wonderful.

Workout was great. Imagine a more intense version of Barry's Bootcamp. The location is a 0/10.

At 6:30 AM there was no parking anywhere. Probably won't be back but fun workout nonetheless.

Make sure to check for surprise charges from this studio. I've attended Rumble classes in NYC, TX, and multiple times here at Gold Coast before - last time I went, they charged me for a glove rental when I didn't rent anything for class. They apologized for the issue, but would not refund the charge because of an issue with their IT system. Recognize it's only $5, but it's not ok to charge someone for something they didn't purchase and expect they'll absorb the cost since it's a small dollar amount.

🔥 Absolutely incredible class at Rumble Boxing Chicago today! 🔥

I had one of the best workouts I’ve ever experienced — high-energy, perfectly paced, and seriously motivating from start to finish. The instructor Chantal was phenomenal! She brought that Miami heat with her and lit up the whole room with her energy and charisma.
If you’re in Chicago and looking for a workout that leaves you feeling stronger, more confident, and totally fired up — this is it. 🥊🙌

Had a fun time at my first class. It was a themed hip hop session. I didn't really know what to expect and I've never really boxed before. It was definitely a high burst energy vibe the entire time. I was running a few minutes late but that's on me. The front flesh person was super nice and gave me the rental gloves and wraps to keep after. They directed me where my station was. I walked into the class and again very high energy. The class itself was split in half. One section was the punching back section and the other the bench section. We did different circuits and switch about 3-4 times on each side of the room. The instructor was super fun but it was hard to hear him at times due to the music being so loud or the microphone. I felt a little lost on what the next workout was sometimes, but realized that there are screens on the top of the room to show you the next exercise which was super helpful. Next time I will definitely try to get there early to get some intro to how to box. Overall I had a great time and would come back for another session for a high energy workout.

I love this place so much! When I started my fitness journey, I knew I wanted it to involve something fun while still being multi-faceted. This hits every box! Everyone is so welcoming and supportive so it is a fantastic place for newcomers. I got hooked (pun intended!) immediately and haven’t looked back! ❤️

Rumble is a great boxing gym, the environment and instructors are amazing especially Ariana (I would 100% recommend taking one of her classes if you are a beginner). The only issue why I wouldn't rate it 5 stars is the lack of customer service. I was offered a promotion and was promised that it was NOT an auto renewal membership, that was until I saw my credit card being charged $200 for 2 months straight. No matter how many times you try to call the location or email them you get sent to voicemail or you never receive a response.

However, I see that there is a new ownership taking over so I hope I am able to return if things are better :)

Rumble is a great boxing gym. The instructors and new ownership are great and this review has nothing against them. However my biggest issue with Rumble ( all of them not just Chicago ) is the lack of customer service. You can never get a hold of them unless you call them 8 times in a row. It took me over 2 months and $200+ to cancel my membership. I recommend Rumble if you have Classpass or something similar but I do not recommend signing up with them directly.

Best workout in the Gold Coast, at an extremely great location. People are fantastic, facilities are clean, equipment is state-of-the-art, and the app actually works! If you want to work *hard* on general whole-body fitness, but don’t have a ton of time in your schedule, this is the #1 place to go imo.

TLDR:
Staff & Trainers: 10/10
Location: 10/10
Workout: 10/10
Facilities & Equipment: 10/10
App/scheduling: 10/10
Pricing: $$$

The Workout and Trainers: Rumble is fast, dark, loud, high energy, and the trainers keep you accountable. You will be called out by name! This style of workout is full on, and tends to attract a younger crowd (20s and early 30s mostly) but that’s exactly what I need to keep me motivated. You will sweat. You will hurt in the morning. I love it. The classes are designed to be 100% accessible to people who have zero boxing experience, but they’re still fun if you are more experienced. I’ve been boxing for 3 years now and I still appreciate that the combos are projected on the wall, so you don’t get lost. The bags are rubber and filled with water, which makes them more gentle on the knuckles than traditional leather bags filled with solids. Weight training and lower-body work are part of every class too, which I like. The trainers are half-DJ, half coach, and the primary skill they utilize at Rumble seems to be maintaining an incredibly positive and motivating energy in the room that ends up making you work harder than you thought you would coming in. They are clearly fitness freaks themselves (and I mean that in the best way possible), which makes them very credible and means they can demonstrate all the moves clearly without a hitch. They have a good intuition for meeting people where they’re at, without letting them get lazy. I like that they walk around and proactively offer judgement-free help if you’re struggling with a particular move. The trainers are diverse too, which I think adds a lot of value because it’s never monotonous and it makes the place feel inclusive and welcoming to all (if you can afford it of course). This is not the place to go if you are looking to refine boxing skills for a real fight. Boxing is a fun means to an end of general fitness here. But maybe it could be good supplementary fitness when combined with a real fight oriented boxing coach outside of Rumble. I’m just here to get fit in a fun way and feel destroyed in 45 min. It is hard to beat Rumble on that front.

Pricing: Yes, it is expensive. It is priced for the typical Chicago yuppie/upper-middle to upper class clientele. But pricing is in line with the trainer-led workout market in the area. I would go more often if there was a bit more cost savings to be gained by purchasing monthly memberships or bundles of classes. That said, I’ve been going here on and off for 8 months now, and I always feel like I’m getting full value for what I pay. You get even more value if you rent equipment, because gloves and wraps are included in the price (I haven’t done this, but what they offer seems to be good quality for what you’re doing and it appears to be clean). I’d definitely go even more frequently if it was financially responsible for me to do so.

Awesome boxing/HIIT Workout that makes you feel like you are in a club. Classes are around $30 but if you are willing to spend that kinda cash Rumble is one of the bests with a combo of boxing and floor exercises with great instructors!

Went in with high expectations since friends from NYC have been raving about Rumble. The facilities are beautiful, clean and well planned out. Tucked in the heart of Gold Coast it was easy to find parking on a weekend morning or walk over from a few different neighborhoods. The music kept you moving and the cuing was easy to follow with front screens detailing the combination with duration. Overall it was a fun class that made you sweat!
