I’ve been going to Shred off and on for 10 years.
Lauren is by far my favorite if you want a serious challenge—she goes heavy on the weights and keeps the cardio fast and fierce. Madison has the best playlists—so good, my teenager won’t train with anyone else. And of course, you can’t go wrong with the OGs of Shred, Bonnie and Tracey—they bring experience, energy, and (trust me) Tracey’s energy is off the charts. Shred is a great overall workout for all levels of fitness!

I've been taking classes at shred since 2017. And even through pregnancy and other breaks, I find myself coming back to shred each and every time. It's such a fun, enjoyable atmosphere. I feel challenged and strong and encouraged to do whatever my best is. I would highly recommend for anyone who is looking to challenge themselves or ready to tap into a version of themselves that they didn't know before.

I hate running so much. I would rather get my cardio in by doing burpees any day. Seriously, ANY day. However, once I started running 5k/10k, I quickly realized that I could just rawdog that anymore (at almost 50 years old). I took up Shred415 because only half the class was running, but I gotta tell you, I look forward to those tread sessions now! My base pase has increased, my speed and stamina has increased and I have noticed multiple seconds being shaved off my mile time with each race. 5/5 stars highly recommend.

I’ve been a member of many gyms over the years, but this one truly stands out. I like everything they stand for. The classes are well-designed, functional, and always offer opportunities to push yourself to new limits. The atmosphere is motivating and makes you want to show up. I’ve seen more progress here than with any other fitness program I’ve been a part of, and for the first time, I genuinely look forward to working out. I can now do push ups and run a 5k routinely, that I could never do before. Today I brought my 3 year old for the children’s class and he had a great time. Highly recommend!

I used to take Shred classes through Zoom during the pandemic. So, when I was looking for a place to workout, I decided to try some real classes here. I’m never a runner, and I don’t do treadmills, but S415 got me to run on treadmills. 😝 Classes are intense but super fulfilling. I usually burn 100-150cal over other HIIT classes in the 60min Shred classes. Instructors are really lively and encouraging (🫶🏼Tracy!). It's only been a week-ish working out here, but I am loving this place! ❤️

Took my first class today with Hannah and had such an amazing time! As a previous OTF member, I was excited to hear the coaches design their own programing meaning no repeated workouts every couple of weeks :)
Absolutely love the encouragement to modify workouts as needed to work best for you, I tend to power walk on a high incline and this was totally fine during the running section.
Can’t wait to get my next class booked and come back, the energy & music were amazing and made the workout feel a lot more fun!

I have been going to Shred LP for 4 months now and the workouts are awesome. I have never been great at running on the treadmill, but the way the instructors set up the workouts has already helped me improve so much on the tred. I feel great when I leave and I am always looking forward to my next class. Every instructor has their own way of teaching and makes each workout different so I don’t feel like I’m doing the same thing every time. They also have so many class time options which makes it easy for me to make multiple classes a week even with my crazy work schedule. I am definitely hooked!

You know those workouts that get repetitive or the gyms where you can't get assistance without someone trying to upsell you something?
SHRED415 is NOT any of the above. I admit I was intimidated to take that first class as the friend who asked me to start is uber-fit and would get up for 430am runs (not me!!). I am so thankful that I did take that first class in 2017-- haven't stopped shredding since!
With an extremely diverse clientele and instructors that are perfect mix of motivating, caring, and informative, every class is a new workout. Shred offers a variety of different styles of classes at many times throughout the day and week. As someone who does not work "regular" hours, I highly appreciate not being limited to get to a gym for a 6am class or 5pm class which are extremely packed because nothing else is offered.
I could also write pages about how friendly, professional and accommodating the employees are. I feel appreciated as a member (being part of the Shred Fam). If I am not having the best week or day or hour, I walk into Shred and feel extremely welcome and can get out of my head and then walk out feeling like I can better deal with whatever I have going on.
I've had personal things come up and management has always been more than understanding and accommodating and flexible with my membership. Cannot say the same for when I was part of a large chain gym that needed 2 doctor statements to pause my membership when I went into early labor and had my son. (?!). My family notices how Shred positively affects my all around mood and energy and we are all thankful for it!
I highly recommend Shred! If you haven't been to a gym or ever exercised, if you are a hard core athlete or anywhere in between, you can find your level at Shred!

I love the Lincoln Park Shred location! I have been to Wicker Park, Old Town & Lincoln Park. Steve & Anna are wonderful at LP - I will even go for a workout on 1st day clean hair for their classes which means they are well worth it! Parking is easy, they have daycare and great options for class times.

I’m always indifferent on reviews, because you never know who the person is making the review and why - good or bad. Are they connected to someone or did they not get their way and then moan?
But I felt inclined to leave a note - one of the few I ever have - because as people get back into their fitness routine this winter and enter the New Year, they’re going to make decisions based around budget, quality and location.
There’s no better place than Shred415 in the Chicago region for those three reasons to invest in your self care.
I’ve been around long enough now to know the good from the bad, and there is a lot of both in the fitness industry.
Shred415’s instructors are the key, and I highly recommend Melissa’s 6 am Wednesday class.
Melissa’s class is just solid - energy, intensity and flow. For the old-school Shredders, her personality has a little of Mark, Jeremy and Cheyne combined.
Melissa is the latest great addition Shred415 has made in 2022.

Shred is not just a workout. It pulled me out of my “quaratine, 4 month postpartum, tackling a 2 year old, working full time” haze. My second home is Shred415 LP. Not only is it the best workout with the absolute best instructors, it’s social, friendly and the cleanest facility I’ve ever worked out in. I appreciate the many, many extra steps they take to keep us all safe. I have a daughter who is immune compromised. I would absolutely allow her to go to shred. I can't say enough good things about Shred LP and shred workouts in general! I have been going to shred for 4 years and it has become a huge part of my life. When everything was shut down at the beginning of the pandemic this was the part of life i missed the most for my mental health. Reopening after the lockdown - the studio is SUPER clean, they leave extra time in between classes for cleaning, and social distancing is observed in every class. Anyone should feel safe returning or trying out classes here right now! Best staff ever.

Cliffs notes: if you are looking for an excellent workout that is safe during these covid times, Shred 415 is your spot.
Short story - long: I’ve been an avid shredder for the past 6 years. I’ve shred to wed, I’ve shred the bump three times now, if there has been a phase of life - I’ve shredded it.
Now we come to the pandemic phase of life. I’m shredding it. Every workout is efficient in the entrance and exit of all guests. Class sizes are kept to the bare minimum in order to allow social distancing. All persons are required to wear a mask or a face shield during their entire workout and any time they are in the studio.
Staff are taking the cleaning and turnover of all facilities extremely serious. There is no other place I would rather me to get my physical and mental health back in the groove.
If you have been to shred, but have come back yet- get in there! If you've never been to shred, come and join. It's what you're missing.

5 years ago, a friend suggested that I give Shred415 a try. As a former athlete, she knew that I would not only love the high intensity workouts, but also the dedication and passion from teachers whose instruction so closely aligned with the coaches I loved over the years.
It can be intimidating starting a new gym, but from the second I stepped foot in Shred LP, I was welcomed with open arms. The community and support that Shred415 offers is one of the main reasons I keep coming back.
I have dealt with several injuries (unrelated to Shred) over the years and the instructors have been so patient and professional in offering modifications. I no longer run, but still leave each class incredibly fulfilled (and sweaty!) from the 'deck' portion of class and speed walking on the tread. They also now offer a'double deck' option which I often select too.
I love that every class is different and every instructor has their unique style. It keeps it fresh and motivating. Additionally, they are always offering fun challenges, theme classes, off-site events, etc. that continue to build that amazing community mentioned above.
Lastly, Shred415 has played a major role in my weight loss journey- - Today, 44lbs lighter and nearing my weight loss goal, I feel better than ever because of two very important things that Shred has instilled in me -- sustainability and balance.

The energy at Shred is beyond amazing. The staff is extremely friendly and the instructors are very knowledgeable. Best work out you can get in 60 minutes and it’s never the same class! Amazing workout--if you're looking to tone up and trim some excess pounds, this is definitely the workout to do! My only area of opportunity is that I wish they led more than a 60 sec stretch at the end. The next class comes rushing in right when it's over and it can be a little hectic not allowing you to stretch really at all. Other than that, it's seriously awesome!
