I have been “Shredding” for over 10 years and still love every minute of it! The classes and intensity of the workouts has been exceptional from day 1 and 10 years later it is no different. The instructors are all excellent and you are guaranteed to always get a great workout that is tailored to your fitness level. The staff and management onsite is always very helpful and they go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable right from your very first class. The studio is clean and comfortable and offers a wide variety of products for your use. The owners are also the best! They take an interest in all of their clients and support them through their wellness journey no matter what that means for them. I could not ask for a better sense of community! Give it a try! You will not be disappointed!

I am a long time Shred415 fan! It is probably the most efficient use of your workout time that is hard to beat in terms of calories burned and total body exercise. The floor exercises are fast paced and keep you from boredom and the treadmill can be quite challenging or easily modified as needed for fitness levels, injuries, pre- post- partum, etc. The instructors are friendly and nice and do a great job keeping hard work engaging!

The combination of cardiovascular and strength training in every class ensures an amazing full-body workout, and the variety of class formats keeps things fresh and challenging. Truly my favorite fitness studio in Chicago! I've struggled with consistency elsewhere but have been Shredding regularly for the better half of the year. Each class is unique and I've yet to meet a trainer who doesn't have the right balance of being kindly motivational and encouraging without being too drill sergeant. The classes are fine but...
despite explicitly telling them when they asked my phone number I do not want to sign up for their text chain they keep sending me messages. Everytime i text back STOP they will send a long message:
"Ok! I'll help you unsubscribe. What would you like to opt-out of? Please type a number by itself, for example "1".
1. News and Promos
2. Appointment Notifications
3. Stop all
4. Never mind"
I replied with 3 and today, after attending a class, I got another text from them.
Stop spamming people, especially people who explicitly asked you not to.

I used to go to the Wicker Park Shred location for years and recently transitioned over to Old Town. I absolutely love Shred415, there is no better workout in the city. I have been to both Old Town and Lincoln Park locations, I love classes with Kendall, Steve, Claire, Anna and Sam but you cannot go wrong with any of the instructors - they are all amazing!

I cannot say enough kind things about Kendall's total body classes. She is challenging, encouraging, supportive, and always manages to pepper in a joke or two to keep class lighthearted and so so fun. I always find myself stalking her Spotify to like her playlists after class (if you ever have to DJ a pregame, Kendall's Spotify is a lifesaver IYKYK), and have never left her class feeling anything less than strong and successful. I always encourage my first time Shred friends to start with a Kendall class, as she is an accessible and easy to follow instructor, and it is never their last! Will always keep kicking off my weekend with Friday morning Shred -- there's simply no better start to the weekend. :)

Shred415 Old Town has been my home studio for the better part of the last decade. It has ALWAYS been reliable, accessible, and felt like a comfortable space for me. Since the pandemic has come around, those qualities have been hard to find these days in most places. Thankfully, Shred415 Old Town has been nothing short of transparent, welcoming, comforting, and incredibly sanitary throughout this time. They have been following the guidelines set forth by the city, in addition to going above and beyond to prove to their community that while so much has changed over the last year, they can still give us an amazing workout without us having to question our safety! This place has always been more than a workout.

I was really nervous about trying out this gym because I was worried that the classes would be too challenging and that the instructors might be judgey. I was wrong on both counts. The classes are challenging, but you can set your own pace. I go to Todd Z.'s Tuesday morning butt and legs, and Thursday morning arms and abs. He's encouraging and helps you push yourself to meet your goals.
The staff are great. Super laid back and the ladies in the kids lounge are great with my toddler. Oh, yeah. They have child care during some of the classes. As a stay-at-home mom, having reliable child care so that I can exercise is very important. That I can bring my kid to the gym with me, even better.

I took my first class at Shred 415 today. It was a double tread session with Sarah Wille as the teacher. She was a delight! She was helpful and gracious and a great teacher, with energy to send a rocket to the moon and adorably friendly. The environment was clean, with a nice small locker room, towels and easy access lockers. I liked the place and I will make it habit.

When I moved from NYC, I was looking for a workout that would match the intensity and style of the workouts with my former trainer. I found a home at Shred415. This spot gets its name from the 4 - 15 min intervals in a typical 60 min class, split between the "decks" (Reebok workout benches with floor weight and body weight exercises) and "treads" (treadmill speed and/or hill workouts). Instructors are friendly and welcoming and keep you coming back!

I've been to numerous classes at this Shred location and no matter who the instructor is I've always had a great workout. I appreciate how attentive the staff are to new people and the instructors are helpful to modify workouts if you have an injury. The classes are high energy and great instructions between each workout. What I like about Shred classes is that it's a great mix of weights and cardio therefore I always leave a class sweaty, energized, and sore the next day!
