Unfortunately I wasn't able to keep my membership due to medical back issues but overall all the snap fitness gyms I went to were/are spotless clean and all the equipment that I've seen at all the locations I've been to were all in excellent condition. All the staff I that met briefly were friendly and kind too. It was a honor to be accepted into the snap community for the duration that I was part of it. I'm grateful and thankful.

By far the best gym I’ve ever been to! Highly recommended. I’ve had memberships at other gyms where even though they were bigger using equipment was always a hassle always over packed and having to wait to use equipment is a turn off. Switching to SnapFitness in around lake beach has been the best decision I could’ve made. Love been able to come at anytime and been able to work out. Never have I had to wait for equipment. They have a nice variety of equipment and been able to use the extra rooms is a plus. They even have punching bags which not even those bigger gyms had. Place is always clean and been able to join classes for free is amazing. Membership is also cheap which is surprising since you can come in 24/7. Cheaper than those bigger gyms. If you tired of the awful hours from those other gyms this is definitely for you. They even have full shower rooms which is great if you wanna work out before heading to work. Definitely worth checking out and signing up!

This place is a scam. I use a fitness membership program offered through my insurance (Active and Fit Direct) which provides me access to gyms in the area. I started going to this gym when it first opened, but the gym started going downhill quickly. Equipment was old and not being maintained. Treadmills were broken for months at a time. There was a broken mirror that they decided to never fix and just put a poster on top of. The lat pulldown equipment even rocked back and forth because it wasn’t stabilized correctly.

Because the gym sucked, I stopped going. I would then receive monthly calls from the staff that said if I didn’t swipe my card at least once a month they would cancel my account. Given the abysmal state of the gym and the availability of superior gyms in the area, I didn’t care if they canceled and stopped going since around Aug 2023.

Out of nowhere in March 2024, I receive a $35 credit card charge for some improvement fee. The staff was incredibly rude and refused to refund me, stating it was part of my contract and that my account was still active because I never submitted a formal email to cancel my account. On top of this, I’m fairly certain I never provided this club with credit card information. I received multiple communications in 2021, 2022, and 2023 asking for a donation for their club enhancement fee since they didn’t have a credit card on file and couldn’t charge me like their normal members. I’m not sure if they somehow got my information from my fitness program or another snap location that I used to pay for. Regardless, it’s incredibly sketchy.

Overall, avoid this place like the plague. The staff/owner is incredibly rude and unprofessional. The state of the gym was atrocious. There are much better options in the Round Lake Beach area.

I went to go sign up with my boyfriend last week, I am physically disabled and plus size and when we walked in the environment was so welcoming, the guy at the desk helped us sign up and when i asked my questions about machines and abilities I got 0 jugement and just kind and knowledgeable answers, it was great. Best and cleanest gym I've ever been to. Has all the equipment you need. The price is justified by being a barrier of entry for unsavory people. This place usually has no more than 5 people at any given time outside of the typical peak hours. The premium price point acts like your own personal gym. Be respectful and you will be respected. Snap Fitness Round Lake Beach on Rollins Road. The Owner Bennie (personal trainer), The Boxing, Kickboxing Coach/Personal Trainer, Jose are nice and friendly. Especially Jose when he see's someone on the punching bag, he always tries to help the members and correct their form and he only charges $20.00 for 45 min sessions!

Also, Jose told me they have a new pre-paid promotion running from August to December 31st, 2022, four months for $100.00!

I've been going to many different types of gyms over the course of my life and I have never experienced such a great place like the Snap Fitness in Round Lake, on Wilson Road. The management are amazing! Super friendly and extremely helpful. They even have customer appreciation days! They are currently updating with new equipment and technology. They will be expanding later in the year. I can't wait! I started going to this place in October of 2017 and have never had a time where I couldn't use a machine due to people using it or the fact that it needed fixing. Breaks do occur, but the staff always makes accomodations to their members. All in all one of the best gym's I have ever been to!!

This is probably one of the worst Snaps I've ever been to and that's saying a lot. It's tiny and cramped which I could deal with but they play the absolute worst music. It was an hour of torture to get thru the workout with my girlfriend. It was R&B mixed with some really terrible rap. The gym was staffed and despite everyone in the gym complaining the station wasn't changed. They also charge an additional $5 if you don't bring two pairs of shoes. Needless to say I will not be joining.

Personally I am a 19 year old who isn't that fit, so I like that it's kind of a smaller gym, with an older community. Very rarely do I go and see a bunch of super fit 20 year olds making me look bad! I also like how it's clean, and I always see the employees cleaning and restocking the paper towels. On top of that, employees always answer my questions the best that they can, but also don't ever bother you unless you bug them first. Overall my Snap Fitness experience has been amazing, and I'm going to be sad to leave you when I have to go away to school in August. Keep it up! 1000/10

I love this gym! Its really clean and has all the machinery you could ever want to get a good work out in. The staff is extremely friendly and even call you to give you updates on the gym. They also have a suggestions box and look over what their customers want. Also, they have WiFi so you can always connect your phone online to listen to YouTube or Pandora. Overall, if you are looking for a gym in the Round Lake Area I recommend that you come here. Great place!
