Gym would not provide me with pricing, and expected that I’d come in for a trial before they could provide any information on what they are offering and for which price. Going to a gym isn’t that complicated. There are many gyms offering upscale services - East Bank Club, Equinox, Lifetime Fitness - who can communicate the concept and price of the gym without expecting you to commit your time. I just can’t with businesses that expect a time commitment from clients and want to share the pricing as a big reveal. This is like the ADT of gyms.

PS. It’s clear that negative reviews are being removed. How does this gym have so few reviews?

Update: spoke with Sean, the owner, and he is a piece of work. He was rude, and upset about getting a one star review which is entirely accurate based on my interaction with him.

Let me start out by saying: I was never a "gym" person. In a nutshell ,I have a lifetime of food issues and struggles behind me. Name a diet, I did it, name a pill, I took it and hated myself even more after I would gain back what I would lose-and then some. I always focused on food and it lead to many issues. Yes I joined a few gyms but like many, I paid for memberships that I hardly used .And when I did I would do the basic hour walking on the treadmill, maybe use a few machines and not even break a sweat.

Fast forward to last fall when I just decided for the heck of it to sign up to train with Victoria .I thought I would get a trainer for 6 months, learn, and go off on my own again. Let's just say that after 6 months I was ready for more. I started taking classes along with personal training.Victoria pushed me to do things that there is NO WAY I even DREAMED I would do. Something with Victoria and Shawn clicked with me and made me WANT to work out. They have taught me so much and I continue to learn from them. I have never met 2 people with such a passion for fitness to where they make it fun and you WANT to do it.

If you want an easy way out or easy fix, Strive isn't for you. It's not "easy"-you will work hard, you will hurt, you will sometimes wonder what you got yourself into. But you WILL see results if you stick with it and it won't be because of a fad diet or pills. It will be because you are working your body, crushing goals and accomplishing things you never though possible. They have so many classes that you can try and there is something for everyone: spin, HIIT, kickboxing, yoga, kettles, etc. for every level. Every instructor is upbeat and challenges you while keeping the classes fun. As a bonus, all of the members are so supportive and you don't have to worry about it being a "clique" like so many gyms are. Every class is very much a "we are all in this together" atmosphere and you never feel like you are the "odd man out" and can't keep up because you have a class full of people cheering you on (which actually made me almost cry a few times because it was such a great feeling). You will never be bored because even if you take the same class every day, it changes and keeps you challenged.

Strive has changed my life and if you give them a try they will change yours too!

I have been going to Strive for 11 months and I can’t recommend this place enough! I have lost over 120lbs and over 22% body fat while coming here thus far. This place is more then a gym. It has giving me the inspiration and motivation to make extreme earth shattering life changes. Not only has it aided in my physical well being by also my mental well being. Every instructor/coach is exceptional. They have multiple locations that are each equally suburb. If you are a beginner or season athlete this place is it!! Thank you for all you do Strive!!

This is more than a gym, this is a family. Everyone motivates one another and celebrates your accomplishments. Each class is different from the last and work outs your entire body. Each instructor works their magic and gives you the best workout each time. Best part of all, you leave each class wanting more and believing in yourself. Shawn, Victoria, and all of Strive are the best support system you need. Joining Strive has been best decision I have ever made. #BeastModeAllDay

I truly love this gym. They are much better than the big gyms because they care about my success. I was nervous and scared about going to the gym but, I feel like it's a family environment and everyone is helping/pishing you to reach your goals. I am never going back to LA FITNESS!

I started attending Strive in Riverside during the summer of 2018 to supplement my training for hiking in Nepal. I first used a 6 week special introductory special, then bought some punch cards, then progressed to a 2/week and finally to Unlimited! The variety of the workouts, the muscle confusion and seeing how hard I can push myself becomes addicting. I love doing the ultimate bootcamps of 3-4 hours to monitor my progress and endurance gains. If you want to just say you go to the gym and do your own workout you can do that, but I can guarantee you won't push yourself as hard or see the results in strength and musculature as you will doing the Strive method. #belikepeggy #strivestrong

I started with Strive on a 30 day pass and very quickly realized this was a different place then any gym I had been to in the past. All of the members and instructors have been incredibly supportive from day one and that's part of what sets Strive apart from the rest. There is always someone greeting you once you enter the studio and you always feel welcomed and comfortable there. The owners go out of their way to interact with all the members and are always changing up classes and creating challenges to keep the members engaged and motivated. They have something for everyone in the variety of classes they offer and have a fourth location opening up soon. Having multiple locations allows you to attend the location that is most convenient for you and the times of the classes offered varies as well from early morning to late evening. I highly recommend Strive to anyone looking for a place to workout that is unique and different then your average gym.

I’ve just completed a seven week challenge at Strive 4 Fitness. This challenge completely changed the way I looked at working out. The trainers and the classes are upbeat and positive, after a three year lull of paying a gym membership that I never used, I tried this challenge. It was the best money I’ve ever spent. Even with high impact classes, you’re encouraged to go your own speed, you have to push yourself to get what you want, but there is no shame in going at your own pace. The classes are filled with positive people who are all in different stages of their own transformations. If you work at what you want, you can achieve your goals with these classes and workouts. Attached is a picture of me in week six, I dedicated myself to this seven weeks and it payed off. You should always keep working on yourself and this place makes you want to do it instead of it a forced feeling.

I joined Strive 4 Fitness on April 2018. It's not your typical gym. It is more than I expected. They have great instructors. I love the variation of classes that they offer. I highly recommend it to anyone that is looking to get healthy and fit.

I was so worried making the decision to try their first class free option. I suffer from chronic pain, fibromyalgia and this usually can make my anxiety worse. I am not small or fit but I really want to be healthy and lose weight as this will manage my pain. I walked in last night to do the Gutz and spin class, thats where I met the instructor for that class sheena! She took the time to get to know me, she walked me through the process and then made sure I was ready and comfortable. The whole time she was watching me asking if I was ok. This felt close and personal. She made me feel at home, welcomed and cared for. She makes me want to work harder! By the end of the class, yes I actually made it! I felt so great and acomplished! This facility is clean amd well taken care of. The two staff memebers I met last night were absolutely the best. The patrons who have been there were sweet. It honestly felt like a family fighting for the same goal and helping each other along the way. I will say if you want to get on your fitness A game, try the one class. I promise you'll be hooked and ready to be a member. I know I am. I know that once I have the money, this will be my fitness family!

I found this place thru google. I was searching for somewhere nearby to do kick boxing . I ended up going to a free trial circuit class that same week and OMG i was dripping sweat and thought i wasn't going to make it the whole hr . But i didn't give up seeing the other 3 women there giving it all they got. My legs were wobbly at the end. I felt it ALL OVER. I was very sore the next day. but a good sore , a soreness i don't get from going to the gym 4-5x a week. I signed up that same day and did a kick boxing& kettle bell class same week , AGAIN i didn't know what i was getting myself into. But i love everything about it . the burn, the exercises , they target every muscle. the instructors r great and friendly and they really push u to your limit. very thankful to have found something so close to home and have so many classes i can choose from!
