My son loves the weekly camp ! Andrew does such an incredible job of motivating the kids and making it fun and a lil competition :)
We started this camp to improve my son's speed, strength and agility on the ballfield and we can already notice the difference!

Absolutely love SAA! We started going here years ago for my oldest son. SAA setup a program for him to be able to achieve his goals to get on the varsity baseball team with BHS. We started back up again for my youngest son. Andrew has really helped my son, Jimmy, get focused, set a goal, and execute it. I've noticed a big difference in my son, not only in his physique but also mentally. I highly recommend SAA, especially Andrew. Andrew gets it! He understands what's required to hit those attainable goals in sports and how to get into the young adult's head to help them believe in themselves and bring out that competitive edge needed.

I’ve been working with Kait here for about two months and had great results! Kait and the rest of the staff are extremely knowledgeable and super encouraging , and have helped me get a handle on nutrition and exercise habits while I’m also working on traditional strength training. Kait has been able to tailor my routines to my specific fitness goals while accommodating some limitations I have due to carpal tunnel.

I’m rather out of shape (but getting better!) and have never felt like I didn’t belong or out of place. In terms of fitness, this is an incredibly serious place, but the staff and patrons are all respectful and friendly. I think SAA is an excellent choice for personal training no matter your goals.

I started training at SAA 7 months ago and couldn’t be happier with the setup and results. I do a group training session once a week and have lost body fat while building muscle. The workouts are pre-arranged, which helps me stay focused and get the most out of every session. Kurt customizes the training based on my goals and provides real-time guidance that keeps me improving week after week. The gym is clean, organized, welcoming, and supportive—never intrusive—and there’s always a great playlist. Highly recommend SAA to anyone serious about getting results in a motivating environment.

I have been training with SAA for about 10 years and it's brought me to be the healthiest and best version of myself. For years I did everything from different classes at other gyms, then CrossFit, then running, yoga and home gym workouts...after all that I finally found my gym 'home' and I couldn't be happier. My goals are addressed, my coaches are consistent with my training and checking in, and the vibe is just what I needed. So glad to be a part of this gym!

I have been going to SAA for a couple years now and recently got my college-aged son to join while home for the summer. During the two months that he was home, he trained three times per week. Will, Kurt, and Andrew were all extremely knowledgeable and tailored his workouts to help him gain strength and flexibility in preparation for college baseball season. Stopped in for a workout while passing through the area. The gym was incredibly
clean and the staff member on duty, Andrew, was incredibly nice and helpful. He gave me several good tips for some sport specific training and was very conversational throughout the workout. I wish I lived closer in the area to be able to make this my daily gym!

Their ability to focus on problem areas is exceptional, and I have seen significant improvements in my son's performance even over 6 trainings. Will, Andrew & Kurt have been great with our boys (16 and 13) since they started at SAA about 6 months ago. Impressed with the structure, guidance and encouragement they have received on their journey to becoming better athletes (faster, stronger) through customized, focused training. Short-term results have been quite noticeable but most importantly they are learning life-long lessons and know if they stick with it, results will continue to follow. These guys really know what they are doing. Highly recommend.

Cannot give a high enough review of SAA. I was looking for a sports performance program for my high school volleyball player and inquired with SAA based on their location. Beginning with my daughter’s initial assessment I found Will/staff/program were beyond what I thought would be available for a high school athlete. Each program is personalized, science backed and delivered in a highly encouraging and motivating way. From the staff to the athletes in the gym, everyone shows up to work and encourage one another. In 8 weeks my athlete has improved her approach vertical by 4.5 inches and her in and out of gym confidence is through the roof. Definitely gaining skills that will carry her beyond her school years. Thank you to Will, Kurt, and Abby for kick starting my resistance training journey! I thought I was in a pretty good place fitness wise, but within these past few years I felt myself getting more winded in the show ring and my upper body feeling exhausted (I am a competitive equestrian) and knew that I needed to make a change!

It started with a consultation with Will where I was asked questions and we did a form check and evaluated my current level of fitness, and from there, we made a plan for me to start personal training twice a week. I was able to learn proper form and once I got more comfortable, I started group training Mondays and Wednesdays. Each workout was challenging and I absolutely loved all of the other athletes in the group training! I like that with group you can be more independent with setting up your equipment, but coaches like Kurt or Abby are always there to spot you and check form.

I trained with SAA from early February to July of 2022, and the only reason why I stopped is because I moved out of state. Whether you are looking for a change like I was or you are a major athlete ready to learn some new moves or improve your technique, I highly recommend SAA. They are also great coaches for children, high school athletes, and special Olympics athletes. Such kind and knowledgeable coaches here, and I’m so glad that I started this chapter with them. I will be back!

I have been training at SAA for as long as they have been in Barrington - 10 years maybe?!?!
And considering I do not typically stick with any exercise routine, this is a record. The coaches and I work on current goals, and other activities I do to make sure I stay on track, and am strong enough to enjoy other activities such as biking, skiing, water skiing.
They mix it up and I never lose interest. Great way to start my mornings. I look forward to working out with my “work out buddies”.

I have been a member of SAA since 2014. I have not always been consistent (to no fault of theirs) but they have always given me what I needed. Whether it’s home workouts, pregnancy workouts, nutritional advice or a pep talk, I can always count of them. The other members are great, the atmosphere is great and their knowledge is second to none! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend SAA to anyone who is serious about their goals. I cannot speak highly enough of Will. He listens to what you want to work on and gives you the perfect combination of exercises to take you to your goal (and beyond). He is very personable and understands individual personalities and what each person needs to motivate them to keep showing up at the gym, even on the days when you're just not feeling it. I started going to SAA mid September and I am so happy I decided to leave my other gym to come here!

I highly recommend for others to try SAA out! It’s a great environment, staff and members are friendly, and clean with proper covid-19 protocols set in place.

My favorite aspect is the individual workouts but in a group setting. You start with a consultation to conduct some assessments and evaluate what your goals are which then determines your workouts. Personally, I come from a gymnastics and circus background and I love that Will incorporates unique exercises that I haven’t done in a while and miss. It’s so awesome to already feel the progression in different movements.

I am so excited to start this journey with SAA and look forward to future results!

Amazing place! Joining SAA has been one of the best decisions of my life. I joined SAA shortly after my 50th birthday in 2016. 7 months later, I'm in better shape than 25 years ago. I was always interested in crossfit, but was very hesitant about flipping tractor tires in a parking lot with people half my age. Sounded like a recipe for disaster, especially after my 5th back surgery in June 2015. Everybody has different goals and the instructors at SAA are fully aware of this. Each session is different and personalized. They asked lots of questions during my assessment, and are fully aware of my back history and what my goals are. Every time I arrive, my personalized plan is ready for me. The instructors at SAA are very educated and experienced in weight lifting, sports training and strength conditioning. One of the many things I have learned with their guidance is patience. All those mysterious little routines and exercises finally started to make sense after a few months. It's about proper form, injury prevention and setting you up for something more advanced. Every time I arrive, I am greeted by everybody. I sleep better, my energy level is off the charts, I can run faster and longer and my stress levels have decreased. My back is stronger and better than ever. I am forever grateful to SAA, and proud to part of the SAA family.
