The Actors Gymnasium is one of the nation’s premiere circus and performing arts training centers. Founded in 1995, Actors Gym provides educational programs for students of all ages and levels, produces original and daring circus-theatre, and offers award-winning entertainment for corporate and other special events.
At The Actors Gymnasium people learn to fly – physically, emotionally, and creatively.

Went to see a performance by teen ensemble. They wery impressive and talented. They have small parking lot (next to building) but you have to pay for parking. Theater where performance happened is small and intimate with folding chairs. They offer classes for kids and adults

They are keeping children who want to continue their careers from doing so be mandating a vaccine that is proven unnecessary at this point and not required by almost any other business any longer. Extremely disappointing that such a long standing center would still continue like this.

My 6 year old loves the classes here.
We both love seeing their very impressive youth performances.
I especially appreciate that Actors Gymnasium is currently requiring proof of COVID vaccination for any students 5+ to keep our kiddos safe from germs in class.

Pros: The staff and the gym space are very nice. It’s a welcoming environment. Cons: In my opinion, you do not get your money’s worth for the experience. The cost of one class is three times what I used to pay for an aerial class, and I only had about 30 minutes of time on the silk here versus the hour and a half I had at my old studio. The class also seems more geared towards professional aerialists, not beginner or intermediate. That being said I will be giving them another try just to be sure I didn’t have an outlier class, but I had been hoping for more.

Very nice place... even I was able to train only 2 weeks (went for 5 classes) I was able to meet beautiful people.. I wish the classes were longer though.... However, if I return to Chicago I'll definitely go to train again!

The Actors Gymnasium saved me. I have a joint disorder which has caused me pain in all of my joints my entire life. They dislocate and move around and have limited my day-to-day life since as long as I can remember. As a child, I believed that I would never be able to hold my baby because my arms would be too weak. By high school, my arms were even too heavy for themselves and would dislocate on their own without provocation. I began training at the AG in high school for a performance Pippin and my life was changed. I had been in physical therapy for 8 years attempting to strengthen my body and the AG accomplished more than my PT was able to in 8 years in just a few short months. Sylvia was strength training us in a healthy way and met each and every one of us at our own level. When I began, I couldn't even hold a binder in choir. Now, I am doing aerial work on the Spanish Web and Silks. I am accomplishing things I never thought were a remote possibility. AG gave me the freedom to live my life the way I want to and I will be forever grateful.
