My wife and I have been to our fair share of yoga studios over the years. But The Collective is something different. And it's quickly become our home away from home.

The studio itself is small and quaint, but just what is needed. Love the diversity of instructors and all they bring to classes. No matter what life throws at me, the intentions of each class somehow relate and ground me. Love the virtual membership option as well

Such a lovely and inclusive studio. I've tried out a number of yoga studios in the area and this one has the best vibe by far. The instructors are all wonderful and there is a great variety of classes offered. I'm so glad to have found this gem in my neighborhood!

Such a lovely community of instructors with a good balance of restful and intense classes. My only wish is that the harder classes were truly focused on yoga rather than incorporating HIIT, weights, or other non-yoga techniques. Traditional vinyasa yoga itself can be extremely challenging and an intense workout without blending in other workout styles. Overall, this is the best yoga community I’ve found in the area.

I’m new to Illinois and currently living in Chicago, so I’ve been searching for a yoga studio to call home. I’ve tried a few, but none of them felt quite right—many felt too mainstream or like they were chasing trends rather than offering a truly grounded, healing space. That changed when I tried The Collective Yoga Co-op last night.

From the moment I walked in, the energy felt right—peaceful and deeply healing. I signed up for the Vinyasa Candlelight session with Izzy, and it was absolutely amazing. For the first time in a while, I felt like I was home, filled with a deep sense of peace. Izzy was incredible; she structured the class with such thoughtful flow and clear intention. Her instructions were easy to follow and created a space for both movement and mindfulness.

If you’re looking for a yoga studio that feels authentic, grounded, and healing, The Collective Yoga Co-op is the place to be. I’m so grateful to have found this gem.

Thank you Yoga Co-op and Izzy <3

I couldn't be more grateful that I found The Co-Op. Everything about this yoga studio is lovely – from the instructors and the space to the events. The absolute highlight, though, is the incredible community that comes with being a member.

it is an absolute dream to have a local studio with high-quality instruction, a schedule that works for me, a great variety of regular classes (from high-intensity vinyasa lift to candelit yin with a sound bath), and above all: a welcoming community. I feel so grateful this one-of-a-kind studio exists. as someone new to chicago, it has been foundational to my life here and the source of some of my most important friendships

The best yoga studio I have ever been to. I’ve been going here for a couple of months and I love the range of classes and times that are offered. The best thing about this place is how kind and welcoming everyone is. This studio has become a very comfortable and relaxing place for me to unwind away from the busyness of everyday life. Everything about this place makes it so much easier to achieve my goal of getting more movement in.

The collective co-op is a community driven studio that has BIPOC and LBGBTQ+ teachers. Love the variety of classes and times throughout the day and also events such as reiki healing and my favorite, once a month sound bath release. Sliding scale offerings make it accessible, a membership is so worth it if you are able to afford it. They also have a tea station which is great to help you stay hydrated in the winter. Covid: there’s an air purifier however, not many people mask.

My favorite yoga studio! I’ve been going for a year and the instructors are incredibly friendly, open and knowledgeable. They provide adjustments, hands-on assist with your consent and encourage you to try new things if it’s comfortable in your body. From HITT type yoga class, weight lifting, flows, mediation, sound baths and much more this place has slowly helped me heal. I feel stronger physically and mentally. I’m forever grateful for finding them!

This yoga studio is one of the best. I used to go to Tula (also great), but after moving needed to find a new studio and I am so glad to have this one nearby. I have taken classes with Paco, Manny, Izzy, Alan, Michelle, Brendon, Johannes, and Kiyoe. All are excellent teachers who bring their own styles and personalities and genuinely encourage modifications and listening to your body both in language and by doing. It feels good to support a Co-op and a place that is proudly fostering diversity and committed to being a brave space. They have community clases (at least some I know are in Spanish) and a sliding scale. They also have monthly events like reiki, sound baths, and yoga at Dovetail and Koval. If you read this far, you need to go check it out!

I love this studio and wish my schedule allowed for me to go more often. The yoga burn is fantastic if you want to add weights to your routine. The 90 min yoga on the weekends is perfect to jumpstart your weekend and stretch after a week of sitting at your desk.

They also have special events working with Koval and Dovetail brewery which I appreciate. Have to keep it in the neighborhood!

A clean, full of sunlight, lovely space. This studio and their teachers are one of a kind, I’m new to Chicago and have been using class pass to try out a variety of studios, when I came across this one I ended class pass and got a membership here. You are not just paying to be a part of a yoga studio but a community that values diversity and healing. They are not after every dollar you have which is uncommon compared to many other studios around. Teachers are very well trained and classes are enjoyable for all but challenging if you choose. So happy I found this full-of-love gem in Andersonville!
